Wukong is my Main champion in league of legends so this is a special top facts for me =D. Included in this is my first Video commentary tell me what you think (Besides that my voice sucks, because I have a cold-.-)

I have a wukong guide for top,mid, and jungle. I have learned a few more things since then though. The guide remains mostly my thoughts and opinions though.

Champion Overview:


Wukong is a mobile tricky tanky DPS champion adept at juking, bursting, and team fighting. Wukong is a very strategic champion in lane whos power is only as strong as the person playing him. Wukong is a very capable pick in every game type due to his diverse and fun skillset ,and his team capabilities. He is also a monkey, which are innately fun. He has very adaptable build paths that allow him to carry or tank for his team depending on how he does in the laning phase and what his team needs him to do.

(These were my ranked scores as wukong I have played a few games since then and the score has remained there. Its like 15-5 now I think or something like that.)

Skills Overview:


Passive: Stone Skin-Wukong's armor and magic resistance are increased by 4 / 6 / 8 for each nearby enemy champion. Range 1400.
Free armor and MR O.o makes you tanky in teamfights by giving you about 40 of each OP! In lane it will be 4 armor/magic resist until their jungler comes to gank at which point it is 8, still do not underestimate the usefulness of this skill.

Q: Crushing Blow- Wukong's next attack deals 30 / 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 (+110% of Attack Damage) physical damage and reduces the enemy's Armor by 30% for 3 seconds. Cooldown 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 seconds Cost 40 mana.
This skill is very nice in top lane as it gives a nice armor shred allowing you to follow up for good damage, and the skill does decent bonus damage in itself.
Note:this skill resets auto attk timer.


W: Warrior Trickster- Wukong becomes stealthed for 1.5 seconds. An uncontrollable decoy is left behind that will deal 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+60% of ability power) magic damage to enemies near it after 1.5 seconds. Cooldown 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 / 10 seconds. Cost 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70 mana
Hands down my favorite skill in the game, you lay a decoy of yourself while you get to stealth. The basic use of this skill is you have stealth for 1.5 seconds and you can run away in it being untargettable without an oracles. The enhanced usage and mastery of this skill allows for S jukes where it looks like you decoyed but you did not. Fake-outs where you run straight decoy, they will think you continued straight, and turn around and run the other way. (The use of bushes greatly enhances this trickery.)

E: Nimbus Strike- Wukong dashes toward a target enemy and sends out images to attack up to 2 additional enemies near his target, dealing 60 / 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 (+80% of attack damage) physical damage to each enemy struck. Upon hitting his target, Wukong gains 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% Attack Speed for 3 seconds. Cost 45 / 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 mana. Cooldown 8 Seconds.
A very strong gap closer skill, does very nice damage that is AOE and gives you a very nice attack speed boost to follow it up.

R: Cyclone -Wukong's staff grows outward and he spins it around, dealing 20 / 110 / 200 (+120% of attack damage) physical damage per second and knocking up enemies he encounters. Wukong gains speed over the duration of the spell. Lasts 4 seconds. Cooldown 120 / 105 / 90 seconds. Cost 100 mana
This skill is insane at rank 2 it does damage comparable to a fiddle ultimate (if you are building carry wukong) while also providing an AoE knockup to keep them in and CC them for your team. Plus its a SPIN TO WIN!!!!
Note: When getting chased by someone with a cc gap closer Warwick or just a gap closer that has fly time Irelia you can run with your ultimate on if you think they are in range, as when they come to you your ultimate will kncok them up before you take any damage,as well as the fact this skill gives you a slight movespeed boost to aid in running away.

The early point is in W so that if they early gank I can be safe.
Combos:

From melee range= Auto-Q-E-Autos-(W to get out) or R(to commit for kill).

From a distance= E-Auto-Q-Autos-(W to get out) or R(to commit for kill).

Combo 1 does more damage but you have to be in melee range to start it.

Matchups:


Wukong's matchups are mostly about your skill with the champion compared to your enemies skill.
Easy

Vladimir ( To much damage and you can come at him from ranged), Akali (Buy vision-Win late.), Fizz (Cant fight bruisers well.), Irelia (Abuse her weak early and zone), Nasus (See Irelia), Kayle (Jump in trade, decoy out when she want to trade back hers is slower.), Galio (Free farm lane, your ultimate will cancel his in fights), and Cho'Gath (free farm lane, zone him out early on and screw him over).
Hard

Riven ( A good riven can block your dash as you come in with her stun and avoid all of your harass.), Renekton (Sustains alot and has better damage, you win in team fights but in lane try and passive farm), Lee Sin (He's blind so your stealth trickery does not work on him), Jax (Stuns when you decoy murders you when your out, have fun.) Olaf (TO MUCH TRUE DAMAGE), and Garen (Spin 2 Win).


(My first commentary, my throat is sore im sorry if I sound very quiet.)

Playing AS/VS:


As:
  • Always think about how you could fake out enemies with decoy as you run.
  • S while you last hit, as enemies will not know whether it is you or the decoy, then at a later point go decoy and they will think you are Stop command so you can go in for the kill.
  • Your ultimate damage is very high try and keep enemies in it as long as possible.
    Remember your Q is an Armor shred, try and get this off on high priority targets as fast as possible.
  • You can use your W to block skillshots that hit first targets only, The funniest use of this is to block a Caitlyn Snipe by decoying as it is about to hit you.
Vs:
  • If a Wukong suddenly stands still he has probably decoyed.
  • Oracles or vision wards will counter Wukong's stealth
  • Most Wukong's will try and trade then decoy instantly, do not use your skills on it out of frustration
  • When ganking save CC until after Wukong decoys or if you know its the real one.

Big Item Choices::



The Brutalizer - AD armor pen and cooldown a good item to get if your ahead. I typically will sell this item later on in the game.

Trinity Force -good item for wukong has a slow for chaseing, a run speed boost for chaseing players and his ultimate, AND a build in sheen for double damage on an attack (+ in his Q dmg which aslo toggles sheen on).

Youmuu's Ghostblade -attack speed crit ,dmg, and cdr. It also has an active that is the same as a master yi ult but without the immunity to slows.

Atma's Impaler - turns you high amount of hp into attack damage + gives u crit AND def. The base staple tanky dps item.

Warmog's Armor -Tanky item gives you HP if you have atmas will also give you a fair amount of AD, and gives you more hp regen.

Sunfire Aegis -Tanky item gives you health and defence, more damage from atmas, works off your decoy, AND works well with infernape the monkey king :D.

Bloodthirster - More damage, alot of lifesteal I tend to buy this if we have a tanky team and need more dps.

Infinity Edge -More damage, helps your crit rate, makes more crit dmg, pretty much if u making critkong, or if u going full dpskong and want crit dmg in there.

Thornmail - good for fighting heavily dps warriors like trynda,xin,and GP returns 30% of their damage to them and best of all it works off your decoy :D.

Banshee's Veil - good for M def more, more hp, more mana, more dmg off atmas, Gives u immunity to one hostile spell.

Force of Nature - good for magic defence more run spd and hp regen.

Hexdrinker -good for living through mages while adding more damage.

Locket of Iron Solari - Hp , team wide hp regen aura, and a team wide shield. A good item for you to buy to help your team win teamfights.

Frozen Mallet - AD HP and allows you to lock down targets with slow.

Aegis of the Legion - gives you team a nice boost while your around which you should be tanky enough to be.

Wriggle's Lantern - An ok item if you behind in lane against a physical attacker, do not buy if you are in the lead.

Frozen Heart- An almost MUST-BUY if you start to do badly. Allows you to stay tanky, and help your team. (NOTE EVEN IF YOU ARE DOING WELL IF THE ENEMY TEAM HAS 2-3 AUTO ATTK ADS YOU SHOULD BUY THIS.)

Maw of Malmortius- A good item if you need damage and are fighting AP champs.

Gametypes:


SoloQ:
Wukong can carry soloQ if you know how to play him well. Wukongs skill set allows him to Deal tons of damage to the enemy team while being very tanky if he is able to get ahead. In soloQ I normally try to pick him later in if possible so the enemy team does not get to see what I pick until after I pick it.
Ranked 5s:
Wukong is strong here as you can coordinate plays and timings with your allies. And on a champion with an AoE CC ult that is a HUGE deal. Also in this game type there will be alot more 5v5 fights allowing you to use you passive to its full extent.

Conclusion:

SERIES UPDATE:
I plan on releasing these every day/other day until I get all of the top lane picks in the league ( about 50-60 of them) if there are any requests leave in the comments below and ill work on them. I want to make this series for others to better understand the champions of top lane. Once I am done (Or once I have a few top facts out) I will release some Facts about top lane mechanics, eventually I will probably put everything into one generic top lane guide, however until I do that I will continue to watch and update my blogs as needed. Tips and tricks I missed under my Top Facts would be helpful if you put anything I don't have in the comments I will be sure to add it. I will be forming a guide called The complete guide to Top lane or something in that nature. The intention of this series is not as a "Build guide" or a "play guide", these are more like facts you should know about the champion. These are to inspire people to think of new champion possibilities they might not have thought of or to help a new player with the champion. I do not list runes masteries or a set build ( I give a kind of recommended items) in here due to the fact I want people to think of that for themselves and try new things.
