Cleanse is suefull for stuns and fear but other than that its useless since anivia can slow/stun/force enemies to take different locations.
i'd suggest swapping teleport for flash since Eggporting is the best way to get away if you know you're in trouble.
and i'd suggest swapping cleanse for clarity since early game your mp runs out very fast, and lategame it can be very helpful to allys.
for your item build i'd say it has too much defense for anivia and not enough damage. but that is purely my opinion.
nice build :)
btw, how do you do the small item icons?
As much as I like the item comp and summoner spell choices, I have a problem with your running total. To get 18.8k gold in a game is almost asking the impossible; this would mean that you'd have to do a lot of kills to get the gold needed, which is not too much the case for high ELO.
However, for lower ELO where people don't know their limits, this item sequence may be achieved, though I still recommend Sorcerer's Shoes and Haunting Guise for early MPen; Spirit Visage is a great early MR/CDR item, but the healing aspect is pretty much wasted for Anivia; I instead suggest Abyssal Mask for MR debff, MR for yourself, and AP. A quick Negatron Cloak is cheaper and has more MR than Spirit Visage - if you don't want to get Abyssal Scepter, feel free to get a Chalice of Harmony for that early MR plus MP regen.
Just remember that with Glacial Storm and Frostbite, Anivia is able to kite, so I highly recommend getting level 2 boots and learning positioning so that you don't need as much MR and instead can blow people up from the back of the limes, which is what Anivia is very good at doing.
+1 from me for knowing the bulky metagame; please put my considerations into thought.
Thanks for the comment and +1. Now to address your concerns.
You're right about how ridiculous it is to expect to complete this item build. Part of the reason the build is so expensive is that for games that drag on for a long time (+50 minutes), you'll always have something to build into. However most games will end before 35mins and you'll probably end with something like and often times not even that much will get built.
A lot of your item suggestions are addressed in the Items section of my build(which makes me think you didn't totally read through it). However the main reason I now choose to get Spirit Visage is because it is the midway balance point between the MR of a Negatron Cloak and the CDR of a Glacial Shroud. Often times I would find that just getting Negatron Cloak wasn't enough because I had no CDR so I would have to buy Glacial Shroud just for its utility, when I didn't need the armor and would've rather gotten Archangel's Staff for the AP boost. The increased HP regen is not totally wasted due to your Strength of Spirit mastery, but it is kind of just icing on a sweet, sweet cake.
Also I hate Chalice of Harmony. IMO it is a total waste of gold and item slot for minimum utility. Getting the blue runes from Ancient Golem is a much better use of your time, it costs no gold, and has better MP regen than Chalice.
Personally I usually grab level 2 boots sometime after RoA and before Archangel's. I leave it up to the reader to decide when to upgrade. Should I change that?

Hmmm. I'm wondering if I should write a new section that lists the Pros and Cons of using Defensive Masteries over Utility Masteries.
Say this to yourself for me;
Haters gonna hate,
doesn't matter,
my build's great!
Simply put you're right. Grabbing Glacial Shroud and/or a Negatron Cloak after RoA massively improves survivability and utility in almost all cases. Even when I'm face rolling the entire enemy team, grabbing a Glacial Shroud for it's CDR, mana, and armor is much more beneficial than just straight up grabbing Archangels and increasing AP for a heavier nuke.
I'll be updating the guide and hope to get it up before Monday so stay tuned.
thats not how anivia works. its about utility and utility. veigar, ryze, annie, and malzhar is different and maybe they should build all AP. but hey they are not top tier because all they do is dmg.
1. for cleanse i am 50/50. when i tested out cleanse, most of time i dont need it, the time i do use it, cleanse doesnt save me.
2. please explain why will of ancients.
3. cdr is important. as max amount of CDR that will HELP U SIGNIFICANTLY is 30%. with 30% ur looking at Flashfrost 5.1 seconds, frost bite 3 seconds. crystalize cannot be reduced by CDR. a 35% CDR is a matter of 0.3 seconds difference for flash frost and 0.1 seconds difference for frostbite. which is insignificant in terms of cost.
4. what elo are u? being too aggressive in high elo can be very dangerous.
1. Cleanse does require some getting used to, but it's fairly useful once you get the hang of it. I mostly use it to reduce incoming damage to Anivia or turn around and smack them in the face for trying. Slows and stuns will keep you in range of enemy damage but cleanse can get you out of danger pretty quickly and with the Willpower mastery it's at 130 sec CD so you can use it fairly often. Saving cleanse for emergency situations only is stupid. Anyway, you can certainly replace it with ghost or any other summoner spell you want if it's more suiting your playstyle. I should change my guide to reflect that.
2. Yea I have to update that too. I haven't used Will of the Ancients in nearly 100 games now and I keep forgetting to take it out.
3. What are your suggestions? I was thinking of changing up the items so you get Frozen heart after Zhonya's. Not sure if that's enough.
4. I haven't played ranked games in a long time. I mostly play LoL to chill out after a stressful day and ranked games means I have to bring my "A game" every time and that just adds to my stress. The highest I ever got in ranked was 1319 in 3v3 premade. lol and I only played like 4 games total. But my team went undefeated and I was playing Anivia every game. So yea I'm a decent player I guess.
