Introduction

Hi! This is my first MobaFire guide, so any feedback is greatly appreciated! I am an EUW player that goes by the name of UserMurph.
I am currently sitting in Bronze 1, however I barely play ranked and much prefer to play norms with my friends.
I have mained jungle ever since I started playing league, and whilst I may not be the best player in the world, I can hopefully help out you guys, even if just a little bit!

So Why should I play Evelynn?

Evelynn is one of my favourite junglers to play. Her stealth gives her very strong ganks, that only Pink Wards can stop.
Her AP build gives her amazing burst potential. Rylai's Crystal Scepter and Lich Bane are incredibly easy to proc, and her Dark Frenzy and Rylai's Crystal Scepter gives her amazing chase potential. She can snowball out of control if done correctly, and extremely hard to catch with her Shadow Walk and her Dark Frenzy.
I feel the assassin champions are the most fun to jungle with.
I have great experience with them, such as Rengar and Kha'Zix, and of course Evelynn.

Masteries

Cunning

Savagery vs Wanderer


Savagery helps with your clears, which are not great. Wanderer is not needed due to Boots of Mobility and Dark Frenzy



Runic Affinity vs Secret Stash vs Assassin

I prefer Runic Affinity to make the most of your buff timers, because as an AP champion you can take more than the first blue if you are doing better than your mid laner.
Secret Stash just isn't needed on a jungler due to other forms of sustain.
Assassin is a very good choice for dueling, however when ganking there is a friendly laner which nulls the passive, making me prefer Runic Affinity



Merciless vs Meditation

Merciless gives you extra assassination and fighting potential, where as Meditation only regenerates mana, which is not very useful on Evelynn.



Dangerous Game vs Bandit

Dangerous Game can be a real lifesaver, and has allowed me to pull off extremely close 2v1 fights that I would have lost without it.
Bandit is not a viable option for a jungler, as you are not in a lane to make full use of the 10 gold on enemy hit, and you will kill the jungle camps for gold, not stand in lane.



Precision vs Intelligence

Precision gives some nice scaling magic penetration, which is a more highly valued stat on Evelynn when compared with Cooldown Reduction.



Thunderlord's Decree vs Stormraider's Surge vs Windspeaker's Blessing

You should never take Windspeaker's Blessing on [[Evelynn] as you have no shields or heals. No question asked.
Stormraider's Surge is a nice mastery on Evelynn to help you stick to your targets better, but with Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Dark Frenzy and Stalker's Blade you won't be needing it much.
Thunderlord's Decree adds a very nice chunk of damage to your burst, and can be proc'ed very easily with Hate Spike and Ravage. Defiantly the best choice for her.




Ferocity

Sorcery vs Fury

Sorcery makes your abilities do more damage, and with the AP build, this is the better option.



Double Edged Sword vs Feast vs Expose Weakness

Double Edged Sword allows you to assassinate more effectively, making it the best option. Feast has a very long cooldown for what it does and Expose Weakness is harder to pull off, being a melee character, and you will be solo most the time.



Vampirism vs Natural Talent

This is personal preference. Vampirism will make you strong consistently throughout the game with the life steal and spell vamp, and Natural Talent is better if you have a more late game team comp. However, Evelynn thrives in the early game, so I reccommend Vampirism .



Oppressor vs Bounty Hunter

Due to Rylai's Crystal Scepter being a core item on Evelynn you will have a perm slow on your target, making this mastery very useful. Bounty Hunter is better later on in the game, and once again Evelynn is an early game champion, making Oppressor the better option.

Summoner Spells

Take two of these 3. Anything else isn't worth it.



Smite is a must on junglers, no excuse. Try jungling without it, it won't happen.

I really like ignite on Evelynn because of the early kill potential it brings. You still have escapes with Dark Frenzy and Shadow Walk. It can help you get early pressure on the lanes.

Flash is also a good option if you don't think you can get an early kill on a lane or opposing jungler. It will allow you to get over walls and create more distance to activate your Shadow Walk. Take smite/ignite depending on the matchup.
