Flat ap runes? Downrated. You outdo them by lvl 6 with ap/lvl runes.

Also to reply to kkde, The increase in mana is the unique passive not the stacking of increase ap for mana, so when you have 3 you get 9% ap increase based off mana

This is a generic ap guide, not just for cassiopeia, The reason I made this guide to have people try champs with a simple guide to remember and can change things if they need to. This is the build I use for most of my ap champs, but for champs like Lux, I would drop Sorcs boots and an archangels for CD boots and a void staff. SO this guide is mainly used to not flipping back and forward between game and guide, cause its super easy to remember. That being said thanks for the feedback.

Should keep the catalyst til mid teens at least. One of the best laning items in game. RoA upgrade cost and gains is roughly equivilent to buying 2 blasting wands and the laning staying power of a catalyst outweighs any gains from the RoA. upgrade to a banshees at leisure since youll NEED survivability ofsome kind, which this build severely lacks.

Agreed with above post. Archangel's Staff is fairly useless on Cassiopeia. She needs mana regen, not a bigger mana pool to spam indefinitely.

Meki Pendant is her best friend. Deathfire Grasp is therefore a great alternative, and should do about 50% damage off an opponents current HP (with enough AP, and 30 penetration - Greater Mark of Magic Penetration Greater Quintessence of Magic Penetration Sorcerer's Shoes = WIN)

Also, you need Rylai's Crystal Scepter for that 15% slow on Twin Fang (champions will never escape). And it gives 500 hp. With some spellvamp (think sustained damage, not burst damage), she should rock socks whatever else you choose. Will of the Ancients

Stacking Archangel's Staff with no armor, magic resistance, health regen, or spellvamp seems like you are just buying a little more burst (over Rabadon's Deathcap), which is counterintuitive to having a bigger (gigantic) mana pool, especially considering Deadly Cadence makes your burst 50% cheaper. Besides I believe the Unique Passive does not stack (I might be wrong not sure)

Quoted:
THIS BUILD ONLY WORKS FOR CHAMPS THAT ARE MANA DEPENDENT. In the comments I would not like to hear that this build sucks, I tried it on my Vlad and it did nothing. Also this build is to hit hard and survive not to just hit the hardest. That is why I dont have 800-1000 AP. I end up with 648 which means you dont hit as hard as other champs but you can stay in fights longer and you can escape better. Also another note about an item I usually never get. I almost never get a Majai's Soulstealer because this item is only good if you are fed and can keep getting fed. I say if you have 6-7 kills and 0 deaths by 15 mins replace your first Archangels with that but only in that circumstance.

Cass isn't mana dependent - never in this life.
She can solo golem at lv 3 and mana issues are gone. That's why 3 Archangel's Staff isn't too good on her.

You want survivability? Damn mate, you're doing it wrong 'cause I don't see anything in the item build. Rod of Ages? Yeah, sure, but for survivability you will also want to get Abyssal Mask and Zhonya's Hourglass.

ALSO something very important on Cassiopeia: you have a lot of AoE, so you might want Rylai's Crystal Scepter too, to slow everyone even more.

This AoE stuff brings me to the last topic: Cassiopeia is a champion that gets LOTS of assists and kills. In a team fight, if you lay your Miasma on the ground, just leave it there and all the enemies die, you get 5 ***its.
With that said, I think Cassiopeia is more than just a candidate for getting Mejai's Soulstealer, it should really be one of her core items.
