Not a difficult matchup. Her only chance to kill you would be before level 6, but after you get Abyssal, you'll destroy her. Just use Q to farm or use your W to mitigate incoming damage.
Cho'Gath
The lane phase won't be too difficult, but he'll eventually get tanky enough to withstand your burst. Plus his true damage is strong against Diana. After Abyssal, rush the Rylia's and Cowl.
Darius
Pretty difficult matchup in lane. Start cloth 5 and rush Seeker's. After Seeker's rush a Giant's Belt. Will need to use Q to farm. Just try not to die in lane, and you'll be fine. Darius is pretty useless in team fights.
Dr. Mundo
Easy lane. Just farm and try your best to out farm him. Your only chance to kill him will be level 6. After that, he'll just get too tanky. Get a Liandry's. It's a must. If you don't kill him before he get's Spirit Visage, you're in for a rough game.
Fiora
Not too difficult. With my build order, you'll get tanky enough to withstand her and be able to burst her. Just use your Q to harass and when she dashes onto you, just pop your shield and walk away. If she wasted her Riposte, auto her a couple of times. Your level 6 burst is far greater than hers, but she does become untargettable so be very cautious. Mid game you will win with ease. Just stay farmed and don't be afraid of her harass. You have a shield.
Fizz
I've been seeing a lot of AD Fizz top recently, and Diana is a strong pick against fizz. AP or AD, doesn't matter. Just harass with Q and if he tries to fight you just W, Q, and E him when he tries to run away. All in him level 6 and snowball.
Gangplank
GP does really well at cheesing people but Diana has a shield, so it reduces that threat. You're best chance to kill him is level 6. GP Is the king of 1v1s for a reason, so don't let him get farmed up.
Garen
Annoying matchup. Just farm and try not to die. In this lane, keep an eye out bot lane so you can tele and get kills by roaming. Like Darius, Garen is pretty useless in team fights also.
Gnar
Easy matchup. Since he has the lowest base stats in Mini-Gnar, just harass and combo him only when he is Mini. When he is Mega, stay away from him. Harass with Q and zone him.
Heimerdinger
He's a hard counter to all melees, but when you get abyssal you can 100-0 him at 6. Try and keep up in farm!
Irelia
Tough matchup. Since you don't have MR on this rune page, try your best to use your shield as she stuns you, thus mitigating her magic damage. You win trades early, but at level 9 you start losing. You can snowball if you get a kill 6 and before, but I'd focus more on farming. Frozen heart suggested.
Jarvan IV
If you dodge the flag and drag you win all trades. If you don't flash away. Should be a fairly simple lane. Just make sure to dodge.
Jax
Jax's early game is pretty weak and you must take advantage of that. Harass him down with Q and and all in him at 6. If you kill him, start building toward frozen heart. He'll eventually become a beast, but the more you set him back, the longer it will take. Start Doran's Ring *
Jayce
He's ranged, you are not, so you're already at a disadvantage. Jayce is heavily countered by champions with dashes though and Diana excels in that area. I'd wait to all in after level 6 where you would combo/ult him and walk away, and repeat it when q is off CD.
Kassadin
Due to recent nerfs, he's not as bad. His Q damage got reduced, thus making it easier to shield against, but his mobility still exceeds yours. You can outdamage him, but you have to make sure he stays within range. If you use your E before he ults, he'll still get slowed allowing you to ult him again for the finish.
Kennen
If played correctly, Kennen cannot be countered. But that's like Challenger level Kennen's. Q-R him every chance you get. If he ults you after you dash onto him, use your Ult to dash to a minion outside of his ult and you'll be golden. Zhonyas after Abyssal to counter his ult.
Lissandra
Her harass is far greater than yous so at 6 she'll be able to burst you. If she's smart, she'll go Abyssal also. If you manage to out harass her, at level 6 your burst should kill her, but only if you have more health than her. Early lane is gonna be very hard.
Lulu
Just farm it out. No use trying to kill her after 6. Try to combo her at level 6 and if you get her low, repeat it, but if it didn't do too much, just farm and roam.
Malphite
Malphite counters Diana's passive pretty well, but he doesn't have kill potential on you. Abyssal into Rylia's to counter his Q.
Maokai
Farm lane. Look for teleports bot lane to get kills. He sets up for ganks well, so be careful.
Nasus
He'll outscale you since he's the king of scaling. Just try and kill him in lane. He'll just get too tanky eventually. Focus on farming and making good use of teleport for kills.
Nidalee
If she doesn't land a spear on you, you win every trade no matter what level you are. If she does land a Q, you will die. You counter her mobility, but if you have low health, it's useless.
Olaf
Olaf is a pretty big counter. He out harasses you since you're a melee and his ridiculous true damage. I would go Rod of Ages/Rylia's/Frozen Heart. Olaf is one of the best champs that can snowball, so don't let him kill you.
Pantheon
Anybody with a shield counters Panth harass, so just be sure you W his Spear. All in him level 6 and make him suffer for not having a ult that deals immediate damage.
Renekton
His early lane will destroy you. Try to use your shield as he stuns you, and stay away from him level 6. IF you manage to hit level 6 before him, be swift to attack him, but once he gets 6, ease off and ask for help.
Riven
Her mobility is countered by Diana level 6, bu just make sure you don't die before that. She can shield your Q so don't bother wasting it unless she has wasted hers. If you have more health than her, your level 6 is better, but only under than condition.
Rumble
Diana is ultimately a melee before level 6 so Rumble does counter her. At 6, if he has near 50% health, you can all in him and kill him. If not, just stay away from him. Harass him down and when he is low, take him.
Ryze
Not to difficult. Just shield his Q and you'll be fine. Once he gets Rod/Seraph's/Banshee's you lose. So be quick.
Shen
Farm lane. Just use your E to stop his ult. Shield his Q.
Sion
He's pretty squishy early but his mana pool is pretty bad. Once he's low mana, then engage rendering him unable to use his shield or ult to get away. Stay away from your minions. His shout can hurt you if you get hit by a minion.
Swain
Tough matchup. I'd avoid fighting him at all costs from level 6 and on. Just keep up in farm and use your tele smartly.
Teemo
You wreck him level 6. Just wait to engage until after he uses his Q-blind.
Trundle
Early you'll be fine, but once he hits six, unless he's 50% or lower, I'd avoid fighting him. Frozen heart is a good buy.
Tryndamere
You have some pretty good burst at level 6, so I'd harass him down and all in him. After he ults, just repeat and repeat and repeat until you kill him. IF you die in lane, you might as well just afk.
Vayne
Early lane is hard, but at 6 you counter her mobility. All in her and win. You cannot harass her down first. You must always all-in.
Udyr
If he doesn't build tanky, you will win after 2-3 items. Just don't tank too much early game or else he'll just dive you. Doran's blade start but Ninja Tabi isn't a bad idea.
Viktor
Avoid his Death Ray and you out damage him level 6. Just don't get hit by the death ray and only engage when it's on CD.
Vladimir
Rush Abyssal and you destroy him. At level 6, just Q-E-R-W and when he pools, just walk away and when he comes back, repeat and slaughter him. His pool has a 20+ second CD so you'll be able to combo again before it comes up.
Volibear
Voli is a lane bully. Just try to avoid extended fights with him. Farm and use TP to get kills. You outscale, but early game, I'd be careful.
Wukong
Avoid his level 2-5 cheese and you should be fine. Don't be afraid of his ult. You have a shield and more burst. Just wait till after he decoys to Q him unless you're feeling lucky and do it while he's invisible. It will reveal him.
Yorick
He counters everyone, but you have your mobility. Harass with Q and combo him at 6, but use your ult to get away from him after he ults himself. Just try your best to farm.
I have a lot of experience in the top lane and after the recent buff to Diana's W Shield Speed, I figure I try to use her top lane.

Pros / Cons
Pros / Cons
Pros:
High Mobility for Chasing
Durable/Repetitive Shield
High Burst Level 6
Low Cooldowns
High base damage
Cons:
No Sustain
Poor Mana Pool
Weak Early Game
Poor mobility for escaping ganks
Skill Sequence
Skill Sequence
If you're against heavy harass, max your W, but standard you max Q. Get a point in E level 2 if you have a gank friendly jungler like Jarvan or Panth as it would combo very well.

ALWAYS TAKE FLASH/TELEPORT
I make this guide with the expectation that you will ALWAYS TAKE WOLVES LEVEL 1 SO TAKE TELEPORT.
Creeping / Jungling
Creeping / Jungling
If you are running away from people, remember that your Q reveals enemies including jungle creeps, so be smart and Q-R a camp over a wall to escape.
If you have time to burn or the wave is pushed, just take camps. You take them pretty fast with your passive.
Team Work
Team Work
With my build path, it'll make you bursty yet tanky. Diana is an initiator. Your goal is to land a Q on a carry, Ult onto them, E them for the CC, and then Zhonyas. Once you out of stasis, clean up everyone. Pretty simple. If you're really strong, group early.
Farming
Farming
Diana has high base AD so farming won't be difficult. Her passive attack speed also makes the auto animation smooth. Just be weary of your passive bonus aoe damage. It can help get more cs or if used incorrectly, cause you to miss CS.
How to Combo
How to Combo
Q-W-R-E
Simple, right?
There's a little more to it.
To maximize damage output, you must auto minions twice so that your passive comes up and then combo so that you deal your passive magic damage from your auto attack as well.

Summary
Summary
In conclusion,
Diana is a very bursty Mage/Melee, but built correctly, can be a very good bruiser as well.
I only suggest you use Diana if you enjoy brawling in team fights. You're the initiator, so it takes a certain mentality to use her. Don't underestimate your damage! Sure, you may only have a negatron cloak and 1 Doran's Ring, but you're still bursty as hell.
Thank you for taking the time to review my guide :) Good luck in the field, and I hope I helped!
