No doubts. AP runes for AP champion. Maximizes her shield.
Thanks to 10% CDr of Sheen, I can take full Greater Glyph of Ability Power. So I can remplaced 1 x Greater Quintessence of Ability Power by 1 x Grater Quintessence of Attack Speed for better farming.

Fury : As said, I optimize her passive proc. ( Moonsilver Blade)
Double-Edged Sword : Free 3% dmg. Why not... !
Natural Talent : Need Dmg Dmg Dmg and Dmg !
Oppressor : I prefer Oppressor for her slow.
Piercing Thoughts : Magic Pen. of course.
Deathfire Touch : Better for AP.

R E S O L V E




Recovery : Nearly 150hp in 5min. Unyielding => 0% bonus Armor / MR until getting Abyssal Scepter & Zhonya's Hourglass (~22min)
Tough Skin : Standard talent for jungler.
Runic Armor : Better having more shield with CD than boost HP Max.
Insight : Summoners CDr OFC !

Abilities



S K I L L - E X P L A N A T I O N




- Passive - Moonsilver Blade
  • A great passive that helps increase your burst
  • Principal damage for cleaning jungle
  • You can save your third attack to poke enemies or use it to clear minions along with your Q

  • Great for farming hard to reach minions
  • Can clear waves extremely fast when used with your W and passive
  • Great for poking the enemy
  • Hit with it before using ulti

- W - Pale Cascade :
  • This ability is what allows Diana to win trades
  • Use it early game to negate harass
  • Bait enemy when you are low hp
  • Detonating all 3 spheres refreshes the shield, which means you need to get in close to maximize its potential


- E - Moonfall
  • A great form of crowd control that works well with the rest of Diana's abilities
  • Lets you lock people down and stick to them
  • Try to wait until the enemy is at the max range of your passive so you can maximize the amount of time they take damage from you


  • An amazing gap closing ability with high range
  • You can time your Lunar Rush right before your Q hits to still proc. the refresh
  • You can use your Lunar Rush as an escape by using it on a minion
  • You can also Q jungle camps to get vision then R to them in order to escape

- Q - Crescent Strike : Lvl 2 and 4 then maximize. The principal skill for reseting her Lunar Rush.

- W - Pale Cascade : Lvl 1 and 3 then 2nd maximize. The principal skill for her jungle early game.

- E - Moonfall : Lvl 5 only. Jungle's routine doesn't need it before.

- R - Lunar Rush : When it's possible.



WHY NOT MAXIMIZE - Q - Crescent Strike DIRECTLY ?




Jungle is simply hard. Her shield is the only way to clean this jungle routine !

This item set is extremely perfect for having 40% CDr and optimized for her passive.



T H E O R Y - C R A F T I N G




With this guide (masteries, runes and item set) Diana reaches to 744 AP.

Rabadon's Deathcap
Must-have for carry.

Nashor's Tooth
Item really profitable. AtkSpeed for her proc. Just insane. (Nearly 120 dmg / autohit) For fast farming jungle.

Zhonya's Hourglass
Must-have for engaging and tanking !

Ionian Boots of Lucidity
To reach to 40% CDr.

Skirmisher's Sabre - Runeglaive is replaced by Lich Bane 5th or 6th set. (around 450 dmg for proc.)
(If there are 2 enemies with 150 MR replaced in 6th set, otherwise in 5th set)

Void Staff
Must-have if there are 2 tanks with +150 MR.
or
Abyssal Scepter
Get it if there are +3 enemies AP.
or
Rylai's Crystal Scepter
Get it if enemy comp team : 1 ADC / 1 APC / 2 Assassins AD / 1 Supp or 1 ADC / 1 APC / 1 Assassin AD / 1 Supp / 1 Tank.


After a lot of calculations and tests, I find 15 penetration magic are not profitable with this composition. Actually with it, Diana can't replace Skirmisher's Sabre - Runeglaive by Lich Bane cause she need 40% CDr. This 15 penetration magic replaced by 30 AP + Lich Bane proc. is really bad.

FOR EACH MR CAP (50 ; 100 ; 150 ; 200) SEE THE VALUE FOR 15 PENETRATION MAGIC


Calcul : 100 - [10 000/ (100 + xMR)] = y% reductions dmg
Example : For 50 MR : 100 - [10 000 / (100+50) ] = 33.33% reductions dmg

15 penetration magic reduced the effective resistance by 15.
Example : For 50 MR : 50 - 15 = 35 MR

So, 100 - [10 000 / (100+35)] = 25.92%
33.33 - 25.92 = 7.41% difference for cap 50

- Cap 50 : 7.41% difference
- Cap 100 : 4% difference
- Cap 150 : 3% difference
- Cap 200 : 1% difference

Note : when enemies get a lot of MR, 15 penetration magic are so bad. You need to reach for % penetration magic. ( Void Staff / Liandry's Torment )

Each cap is equivalent to an type of champion :
- Cap 50 : ADC (Ex: Ashe Corki Graves...)
- Cap 100 : APC (Ex: Veigar LeBlanc Lissandra...)
- Cap 150 : Bruiser AP / AD (Ex: Riven Rumble Jax...)
- Cap 200 : Tank (Ex: Nautilus Dr. Mundo Leona...)

7.41% difference : for 1000 dmg Diana lost 74.1 dmg
4% difference : for 1000 dmg Diana lost 40 dmg
3% difference : for 1000 dmg Diana lost 30 dmg
1 % difference : for 1000 dmg Diana lost 10 dmg

DIFFERENCE BURST PROC BETWEEN Skirmisher's Sabre - Runeglaive AND Lich Bane


Skirmisher's Sabre - Runeglaive : 100% ad + 30% ap => 102.2 + 615*30% = 286.88 dmg
Lich Bane : 75% ad + 50% ap => 102.2*75% + 669.6*50% = 411.45 dmg

Lost 124.57 dmg per proc and 55 AP per skill.


Gain 5% movement speed.




IN CONCLUSION




If you wanna : Skirmisher's Sabre - Runeglaive - Rabadon's Deathcap - Zhonya's Hourglass - Sorcerer's Shoes - Lich Bane - Nashor's Tooth you got : 30% CDr / 615 AP / +15 & 35% Pen. Magic.
You gain 7%/4%/3%/1% dmg (depends of cap) but you lost Lich Bane which gives you +124.57 dmg per proc, 55 AP and 5% movement speed.

Routine Jungle

Diana is undoubtedly THE best jungler. My Routine RushMy****ing6FTW !
NO CHANGED SINCE PATCH 5.22 !

1. Ancient Krug ( Smite)
2. Crimson Raptor
3. Greater Murk Wolf ( Refillable Potion)
4. Blue Sentinel
5. Gromp ( Smite)
6. Red Brambleback
7. Ancient Krug ( Smite) ( Refillable Potion)
8. Crimson Raptor
9. Greater Murk Wolf
10. Gromp ( Smite)
11. Rift Scuttler ( Gromp side)
12. Ancient Krug
13. Crimson Raptor ( Smite)
=> Lvl 6 ! Gank or 1st back (6min30)

TIP 1 : Save your mana. For 2. and 3. used 1 x Crescent Strike and only Pale Cascade. If you don't do that, you can't do my routine.
TIP 2 : If your bot takes Gromp , continue without it and use smite on 7.
TIP 3 : Use your Crescent Strike and Smite with MAX RANGE for optimizing time.


This routine is the best one. No need to wait respawn camp. It's optimized !


Only Diana can do this !

A SECOND WAY



Pass by mid for get 1 minion XP.
You can have your lvl 6 if you got a good pull at 6:10 :)

GamePlay



E A R L Y




Farm your jungle until you are 6 for an easy gank / easy kill. My routine is optimized for it. After your 6 you can roam mid > top > bot until 10min.



M I D




Don't forget to continue to farm your jungle. You can clean your jungle in 2 minutes. Help your mates to push lane. With your Attack Speed and Passive, you can take down tower solo in 10 seconds !



L A T E




You are the engager with your Zhonya's Hourglass !
You are THE assassin. Focus APC or ADC !
You can tank them with your OP shield and Zhonya's Hourglass !


Just practice her for know her mechanic. Her secret is her shield and zhonya. You can carry games really easy.





Pros

  • Tanky with her shield and good base stats

  • Very high damage, sustained and burst, if you use her skills correctly

  • High mobility in team-fights, and in general when there are enemy units near-by

  • Good roam

  • Safe pick that is able to lane against almost any champion with no problems

  • Very good & fast jungler

  • Really nice ganker with her Lunar Rush and Moonfall

Cons

  • Her team-fight presence drops significantly if you miss a Q

  • Easily ganked/camped

  • Her only CC is short ranged and on a long CD

  • Weak pre-6
