Introduction

This is just a Support Repository page for the members of the Diatomic Gaming community to use as reference. Of course anyone is free to use this / give feedback. This is not a guide however so please understand that the sections involved with appealing to viewers looking for full guides have been intentionally left out. I'd also like to thank Haedrix / Phaetox for helping me with the coding and image editing.

Diatomic Gaming is an organization focused on providing a comfortable environment for players looking to experience a community aspect to League of Legends, Counter Strike, Minecraft, Rift, Planetside 2, WoW, and several other games. We promote streamers, have content providers who upload champion guides and write articles for eSports websites, promote a few Youtubers, have experienced and high caliber players who offer coaching / tutoring, and fund servers, tournament fees, etc. for members. It is an open gaming community that is actively recruiting and strives to enable members to pursue their interests in a constructive format.

Support Itemization

Starting Items

Sight Ward Sight Ward Sight Ward Sight Ward

Sight Ward Sight Ward Sight Ward

This is assuming you have the extra Level 1 gold from Wealth via Utility Masteries.

Most Supports in Solo Queue start with either a Faerie Charm or a Rejuvenation Bead but in Premades starting full consumables is far superior. When you make one of your Solo Laners 1v2, it is usually best for them to start Doran's Shield which does not allow for them to have an early Sight Ward. The team will run an invade / warding-train strategy at Level 1 prior to laning to make sure that enough vision gets put down to accommodate for this and similar factors.

GP10 Items

Philosopher's Stone Kage's Lucky Pick

Depending on which champion you are playing and what position you are in item wise in respect to the time frame of the game, you may want to pick up one or a few of these.

Don't Forget To Upgrade At Some Point

Aura / On-Use Items

Zeke's Herald

These items will make up the majority of almost all late game Support builds. They are all situational and what you should build will vary from champion to champion as well as from game to game.

Most Support items have CDR on them. Make sure to not go over 40% CDR or else you are wasting gold on stats that you don't benefit from.

Some Support items have Ability Power on them. The items that do grant you this stat tend to be more beneficial on the Support champions who have higher AP ratios and particularly those with AP ratios on Shield / Heal abilities. Janna, Lulu, Sona, and Nami are good examples of this. While champions like Nunu & Willump may have high AP ratios, increasing their AP does not have a direct correlation to their strength in assisting their team.

Supports that fill the role of front line or initiation benefit from heavy tanking items such as Randuin's Omen and Frozen Heart. Thresh and Leona both do well with a Randuin's Omen while Blitzcrank and Taric would prefer the Frozen Heart due to their Mana scaling on Mana Barrier and Gemcraft.

Shard of True Ice and Banner of Command can also be situationally viable but are generally not core items on anyone and are rarely seen.
