Story

Long before the League's regulation of such magic, mages experimented with the creation of artificial life. Now forbidden, instilling golems with reason was once not so uncommon a practice amongst the more expert of craftsmen. One such visionary was the Demacian artificer, Durand. Peerless at crafting sentient beings, Durand's constructs served as tireless guardians for the border towns of his beloved city-state, affording them protection from their Noxian neighbors. For his own defense, however, Durand kept his magnum opus: Galio. This mighty construct - forged in the image of a gargoyle - kept him safe on his journeys, allowing him to perform his important work without fear of reprisal from those hostile to his homeland. That is, until dealing with his taxing sentinels finally roused the ire of the Noxian High Command.

As Durand crossed the Howling Marsh with his masterwork in tow, he was set upon by Noxian assassins in force. Outnumbered and overwhelmed, Galio looked on in horror as the murderers cut down his charge, executing him swiftly before vanishing back into the mists. Stripped of his reason for being, Galio despaired. For years he remained in solitude, standing vigil over the bones of the master he had failed to protect... a literal monument to his own everlasting shame. Then, one nondescript day, a sad but determined yordle girl carrying a mighty Demacian crown stopped in the shadow of a great statue to rest. Hidden in plain sight from his unsuspecting visitor, Galio studied the forlorn yordle. She looked as though she too shouldered a tremendous burden. As quietly and as stoically as she had arrived, she departed in the direction of Demacia. This encounter lit a spark in Galio's eye. Remembering the cause that his master had died defending, Galio arose from his silent purgatory and followed in the wake of this brave creature. He had a new reason to live: to join the League of Legends and fight for the will of Demacia.

Introduction

Greetings Summoners,

This is my second build I hope it goes well.
Firstly I would like to thank Krazah as I used his Rune set-up aswell as his Masteries set-up for his build of Galio - The Support Tank.

Please comment away no trolls thanks. Criticism is welcome as are compliments.

Pros / Cons

Pros:

Galio can dish out some really awesome damage to squishy champs.
Righteous Gust + Bulwark + Righteous Smite can help Galio and/or allies escape enemies and tower.
Righteous Gust allows an easy tower dive and escape.

Cons:

Galio is quite hard to grasp when you first try him.
Galio's skills aren't that great against tanks.
He is rather slow, this can be controlled though.
His mana sucks, especially early game.

Skills

Runic Skin - (Passive) Galio converts 50% of his total Magic Resistance into Ability Power.

This is self-explanatory!

Resolute Smite - (Active) Galio fires a concussive blast from his eyes, 60 / 115 / 170 / 225 / 280 (+0.6) magic damage near the impact location and reducing enemy movement speed by 24 / 28 / 32 / 36 / 40 % for 2.5 seconds.

This move is a powerful move against squishy champs, early game you can harass quite well although Galios mana sucks!! If you combo this with Galios other skills you can help allies escape or assist in kills quite well.

Bulwark Bulwark- (Active) Galio shields a friendly champion for 4 seconds, increasing their Armor and Magic Resistance by 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90. Each time that unit suffers damage, Galio is healed for 20 / 32 / 44 / 56 / 68 (+0.3). (-20% healing for each consecutive hit)

This move can be used to help an ally get away by making them take less damage. It also heals you killing two birds with one stone!

Righteous Gust - (Active) Galio unleashes a gust of concussive wind that deal 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+0.8) magic damage to all enemies in its path. A directional draft remains for 5 seconds, increasing the speed of allies by 20 / 24 / 32 / 36 %

This move has heaps of uses, it can help you move in and out of a tower dive with ease, it can set-up ganks and escapes or even deliver a final blow to an almost dead enemy.

Idol of Durand - (Active) Galio channels for 2.5 seconds, taunting nearby foes and blocking 30% of incoming damage.

After channeling, Galio deals 220 / 330 / 440 (+0.85) magic damage to surrounding enemies, plus an additional 10% damage for each attack suffered while channeling. Max 80% bonus damage.

COPIED THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ABOUT GALIOS ULTIMATE FROM KRAZAH!!!!
AHHHHHH! I cannot stress enough how situational this ultimate is. While all of Galio's moves are incredibly situational, this one is by far the most. I've seen many Galio's charge into a team fight, ult and think that they will kill an entire team, when in fact it takes off MAYBE 75% health off of the few champions they catch and said Galio typically dies afterward. You must play this ultimate at the right time, this really can decide team fights if used correctly. I will go over more about some suggestions I have for combo's later in the build.
