Introduction

Hello, everyone, and welcome to my first guide. Evelynn is undoubtedly my favorite LoL champion. I feel I do good with her. Several people have asked me about my build, so I figured I would share it.

Any and all criticism is accepted, good or bad. Just keep one thing in mind: Everyone's playstyle is different. If you see something in here you don't agree with, feel free to ask me about it, and I will explain it as best I can.

Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy it.

Runes

The runes I use are different then a lot of Eve I've seen. I've seen a many go straight AP, which I don't like.

I prefer 9 Greater Mark of Magic Penetration, 9 Greater Seal of Replenishment, and 9 Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction. For Quintessence, 3 Greater Quintessence of Health works wonders.

I choose these because in my opinion, Magic Penn is always good, Mana Regen is very important as Eve, and Cooldown Reduction is god. Quintessence should be obvious.

Masteries

As far as Masteries, I prefer 9/0/21 on Evelynn. 21/0/9 is also viable, but I like the Cooldown Reduction, Mana, and Mana Regen that I get from my build. Use whatever you're more comfortable with.

The 9 points in Offense should be pretty self explanatory.

Summoner Spells

What I Use

Flash - A great spell. This can be changed out for Ghost but I typically like Flash better for getting the jump on champions. I've used this in a lot of ways. Escaping Veiger's stun, Flash to a champion at a turret for the kill, etc. It's great, and I love it.
Ignite - A must have for Eve. If an enemy champion starts to get away, pop your ult and this and watch their health go down. With Hate Spike or two, or even a Ravage it makes for good kills.

Spells that are decent, but I wouldn't recommend.

Heal - Heal is alright for obvious reasons.
Clarity - Again, for obvious reasons.
Revive - It's not bad, getting up instantly every 5 minutes is cool, but it's not for you.
Smite - Easy money if you're speced into it, and it makes jungling easier, but not really needed.
Exhaust - You already have a stun. Chances are your laning partner has a stun. This is just overkill.
Ghost - This is just playstyle. Some Evelynn players like it, some don't. If you're going to use it, use it over Flash.

Don't Use These

Fortify - A great spell. A damn great spell. But not for you.
Cleanse - Chances are, if you're CC'd, you're going to die anyways.
Clairvoyance - If I ever see an Evelynn player with Clairvoyance, I will delete my account. You can go invis and check places. You don't need this.
Rally - lolwat?

Skills

Determined Killer
Evelynn has a pretty nice passive, especially for early game. Late game, you wont notice this so much, unless you're on the losing end of the battle and are fighting Super Minions.

Hate Spike
A good, fast ability with a very short cooldown. I've seen many players max this out first, however, I don't like to. I'll get into that in a bit.

I start out with this move at level 1 to make for more simple last hits. I don't put more points into it until I am forced to. Why? Again, I'll get into that later.

Shadow Walk
This is what makes Evelynn so awesome. Her invis is great. Even with the recent patch, it's still great.

This ability is great for psyching out the other teams champions you are laning against. Have your partner go to a bush, and you invis. Your oponent may anticipate a gank and go back a little bit. When he does that, you "/all lol" and kill a few minions.

I get this at level 2, then again at level 8. After that, I don't touch it until I am forced to. I am a firm believer that if you're invis for longer than 20 seconds, you're doing it wrong.

Ravage
Ah, the bread and butter of Evelynn. This is your main ganking move. At late game, you will see this hitting for insane amounts. I've even one shot squishy characters with it.

I take this at level 3, then keep getting it. The only thing I prioritize over this is her ultimate. This ability, in my opinion, is Evelynn's best move. Yes, Pain Spike is good, however, with the damage this puts out, I max it out first. If this doesn't kill the target, 1-2 Hate Spikes or Ignite will. I'd rather max this out, seeing as it being her main ganking move, over a move that I generally use for minion killing.

Malice and Spite
This is probably my favorite Ult in the entire game. It gives attack speed and run speed, the passive is great, and it resets on a kill or assist, making for easy turret dives starting as early as level 6.

Items

Here's the fun part, the items. I always start out with a Amplifying Tome and a Health Potion. I don't bother with a Mana Potion because of my runes and masteries, and the fact that I don't pick up Ravage until level 3.

I generally don't go back until I am level 6, and by then, I have gotten a few kills or assists, and have some gold saved up. I generally try to get Mobility Boots and Mejai's Soulstealer that trip back. Since I have my ult now, as well as a few ranks on Ravage, it makes for some quick ganks. The only reason I get Mobility Boots over other boots is simply because of the movement speed. In battle it's great, and out of battle, you can fly to your next gank. With your ultimate turned on, it's even better.

Keep stacking up your Mejai's Soulstealer while saving up gold for your Rylai's Crystal Scepter. I always start out with Giant's Belt, then Blasting Wand, followed by Amplifying Tome, then the scepter it's self. Don't be afraid to go back to buy multiple times. By this point of the game, you should be moving all around the map for ganks.

After that, it's normally close to end game, especially if I've gotten 20 stacks of Mejai's. If not, I rush for Rabadon's Deathcap, then a Lich Bane, followed by a Zhonya's Hourglass, starting with Needlessly Large Rod for both.

Play Style

My play style is typically very relaxed early game, and very aggressive late game. Early game, I never really try to push until I get Ravage and can coordinate with my laning partner for kills. Once I get Agony's Embrace is when I start getting more aggressive.

Early game is the most important part of the game for any Evelynn. If you do bad, you might as well sit at your base, alt+tab, and go on Facebook or whatever it is you do. However, if you're doing good, then the rest of the game will be good, assuming you don't screw up.

Mid-game is when you really start your ganking, getting stacks of Mejai's, etc. This is a pretty easy phase, but be careful, the enemy might start buying Oracles. Not that that's a bad thing, though. That's 400 gold down the drain when you kill them anyways!

Late game is where you will shine. Team fights happen, you kill straglers. Chances are in a team fight, you will be focused if you aren't careful, so, well, be careful.

Don't be afraid to run out of a team fight a few times, go invis, pop your ult, and get a kill to get health back. It helps a lot. Your team may not like it, but at least you didn't die, right?

Something fun to look for, and it happens almost every game, is qq'ers. "Noob eve," "ks eve," "eve carry," "gg eve," and "fed eve is gg" are some comments I see quite often. I just laugh, sit back, and kill them a few more times until we win.

Oh, don't forget that Agony's Embrace and Shadow Walk work wonders. Enemy turret down, but the Inhibitor is up? Head over there, Shadow Walk when nearby, Agony's Embrace at the inhib. It's cheap, fun, awesome, and always get's you called a noob. But hey, if being a noob is thinking smart and doing the obvious, then I guess I'm a noob.

These are a few screenshots from a few of my most recent games.
