Introduction

GNAR!

Runes and masteries

Simple, as I've said in the notes, Taking atk speed quints in perfect for your early to mid game laning and trading. Since you retain good dmg with your W and your base stats while in mega gnar, you can start off with a tanky item and actually be useful in early dragon team fights or such. Also, If you had lane dominance, you become unpregnable and able to fight 1v2 if the jungle wants to babysit.

Which also allows you maximum effiency on your masteries. The ad booster isn't very helpful since you take low ad items like trinity or Botrk. but do consider forfeiting the weavers and the atk speed completely if you try the full ad gnar build (frzen mallet+ botrk + bt + trinity + cleaver or mercurial )

Pros / Cons

Pros: One of the best initiation power in game right now
ranged harass
ability to chase and flee from most situation
cute as fudge
can dominate any lane
always becomes relevant in mid to late
massive cc

Cons: even with a tanky build you get killed pretty easily if you get stunlocked in mini form
really short range earlygame which makes it possible for most usual toplaners to beat you in the early stages, this one is just a match of skills
big cd on e, use it with caution

Team Work

ENGAGE. That's you purpose in life on this champ. Whenever someone is separated from his pack get him. you're tanky so you're safe to be on the front, and you have big aoe skillshot cc.

Do be careful not to get yourself too far from your pack, the W passie often makes you a lot faster than your allies.

if the enemies are grouped then harass them and as soon as you see them relax for 1 second, jump E-R-W-A. Use flash if needed, you almost can't have a bad fight with this.

Keep your ult for packs of 3 or 4 or 5, but don't shy away from using it on just two if it means securing a baron or dragon. Objectives are the most important until the 40 minute mark. If you do not NEED to fight then pick off a few, take objective and go farm.
