Introduction

Hi all, i'm GuruCorey and this is my first guide. I have only been playing for 4 months now but I have really gotten into this game. I'm not a pro nor do I intend to become a pro, i play this game for fun with my friends and I thoroughly enjoy it. I was influenced by Dufftime whom i'm sure you all know, I like how he does his own thing with his build and does not go with what others do. I now have the same mindset and it is so fun to try funny and different things which can lead to better results.

My song for playing fiddlesticks =3

Pros/Cons

Pros
    Great Jungler.
    Can solo dragon early game.
    Has a CC
    Has a Silence
    Drains to get health up
Aoe ult which is(imo) the best ult for team fights(damage wise)
He is a Professional Hell Raiser.

Cons
Gets focused in team fights(but what AP doesn't?)
    Is somewhat tricky to play.
Requires team coordination to land ult.(not so much a con)
    Dark Wind does **** damage?
    Easily interrupted during channels
    Squishy(but what caster isn't)

Skill Sequence

W Bountiful Harvest should be maxed first for obvious reasons.

Q Terrify is second because it cc's them while you drain them, longer fears=more damage you can put into them without getting wacked.

E Reap does virtually no damage but the silence is very nice, I max it last because of the no damage but I get a point at level 4 so I can gank.

R Crowstorm is your ult and should be leveled at 6, 11, & 16.

Crowstorm> Bountiful Harvest> Terrify> Reap

Summoner Spells

Well so you can kill blue and red early game along with finishing dragon and baron incase the enemy tries to crash the part.

A must have honestly. You need it 50% of the time to land your ult in the right place or fash after the enemy team after they flash out of your ultimate.

No other spells are really viable. I find flash necessary for landing your ultimate in situations.

Runes

Basic caster rune page. Not many variations you can do but go with what you like.

* Greater Mark of Magic Penetration give you magic pen which is a staple for casters

* Greater Seal of Armor I like armor early game to mitigate some damage while jungling
Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration another viable option due to fiddle being mana starved if not careful

* Greater Glyph of Ability Power AP is nice and really helps your jungle early game.
Greater Glyph of Scaling Mana Regeneration Viable like the seals for mana regen.

* Greater Quintessence of Ability Power 15 Ap early game is imo the best especially with jungle.
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed as someone very kindly pointed out in the comments =D you can use these to help position for ulting better. All on you its your opinion.

Masteries

I go down to Arcane Knowledge in Offense. I pick up Runic Affinity for increased buff durations because its crucial to have blue buff as fiddle.

I prefer my 9/0/21 because the benefits seem better too me.
It was pointed out that 21/0/9 is also very good to use especially if your runnning AP quints and glyphs. Try both out for yourself and see which you like more.

Items

Now for the more crucial part that can make fiddle decimate your enemy's. When picking items one crucial item(which I get on almost any AP caster) Will of the Ancients this is a MUST HAVE as fiddlestick. Why? you may ask, because it makes him OP when you get this item and you come out of the jungle to gank, you cant lose in a 1v1. The 25% spell vamp not only makes your Bountiful Harvest more potent but also your ult! when you Crowstorm and you hit their entire team... you get healed for 25% of the damage your dealing to them.

So for the actual items.

Starting Items: Amplifying Tome to build into your Kage's Pick

Kage's Pick gives 5 gold per 10 secs. This with Greed gives nice extra gold for wards and such.

Core Items:

This is the item that makes fiddle OP in a 1v1 situation. When I see another fiddle without this item it just shocks me. Yes 50 ability power is not super boss but you help any other AP in your group as well as giving you the spell vamp you need.

An item that has awesome synergy with A Harmless Scarecrow 10 from your passive + 20 from the item is a total of 30 MR that you take away from all nearby enemies. This is most effective early game when no one is really gearing defensive especially MR. Couple this with your magic penetration runes and you will eat your enemies alive. The MR from the item is nice too =P

Well the most AP on a single item and 30% more AP? Yes please! I like this early on so you get the 30% bonus AP on every new item you get. Sometimes I get this before Abyssal Mask depending on how the game is going. Remember you can do your own thing, I highly recommend Will of the Ancients As your first item.

So you get health for surviving along with some nice AP and a slow on your spells. This shines the most when you use your ult. Along with taking tons of damage from no where, they are also slowed inside it.

The last item is up to you.

Void Staff get this if they are stacking MR.

Zhonya's Hourglass is nice if you are getting focused in team fights alot. Alot of AP and nice armor.

Deathfire Grasp I never use this but you can build your kages into this and the nuke is good vs tanks.

Morello's Evil Tome gives you CDR which is awesome or reducing your ults long CD.

Boots:

Either pair has its benefits. I would Get Sorcerer's Shoes first then replace them with Ionian Boots of Lucidity later in the game. You do need the spell penetration, but late game you want your ult up for every team fight so either pair of boots is a good choice.

Jungle Route

When jungling you MUST have the blue buff(golem buff) without it you will use your mana way to fast.

Blue buff-wolves-wraiths-mini golems-wolves-wraiths-red buff.

Just make sure you get blue buff when it is up. Grab red for when you go to gank.
I wouldn't recommend ganking until level 4 when you get Terrify but i would stay in the jungle until 6, recall and get whatever item you can afford then gank.

Remember Blue Buff, Red Buff, and Dragon are on 5 minute timers AFTER they die. Right down or look at the clock and time when the buffs will be back up.
Start at Blue buff and have someone leash for you.

Ganking

At level 6 you will have Crowstorm which will ensure you a a kill or at least force them to recall and lose xp.

Remember to coordinate with your team so they know you are ganking and let the enemy lane push.

Step 1: Hide in a bush(thats not warded) or behind a wall that you can ult through.
Step 2:When the lane is pushed charge your Crowstorm into the enemy(s)
Step 3:Use Reap to silence them.
Step 4:Use Terrify on one of the targets along with Bountiful Harvest following.
Step 5: Profit

They should die from that if they Flash away, Flash after them. With your teammates help you or them will pick up a kill =3

Teamfights

This is where Fiddlesticks shines =D
Your sole purpose in a teamfight is to cause pure and utter chaos!
This is similar to ganking but your up against 5 people.
When your team initiates you want to ult in. With your Reap silencing their whole team they will take alot of damage, and I mean a **** ton of damage.
Zhonya's Hourglass is wonderful at this point because they will
a. focus you down
b. run like *****es

if a. happens then I would mash that button pretty hard.

Try to synchronize your Crowstorm with someone elses ult. Ammumu's would probably be the best lol.

Warding

So warding is key my friends. It is really nice to look on the river and see wards all down it. "Knowing is half the battle" I don't know where i heard that but it does apply to LOL.

As the jungler it is your job to ward top(unless top gets wriggles which they should)

then you should help middle ward or use your wards on dragon until Baron Nasher spawns at 15 mins in.
