Introduction

Hi, I'm Zhelion and I'm a diamond support.
I love support role, and I have a blog called "Let Me Support" where you can have a look at all the posts about League of Legends (not only about support).
I'm doing this guide to explain you my experience on support role and to share and learn new things, this guide is not going to be perfect, it's just my experience and a tool to improve ourselves.
Hope you enjoy it!

Summoner Spells

(Offensive Lane) Ignite + Flash

(Late/Counter) Exhaust + Flash

Ignite is the best summoner spell for an offensive lane.
Exhaust is better on teamfight, to counter burst assassin champions like Zed, and better scaling on late game.

Spells

This passive is your bread and butter! When you autoattack or Q someone, you put a debuff that need 3 more autoattacks to proceed, dealing some damage and stunning for 1.25-1.75 seconds. This passive can be stacked to all the enemies at the same time.

Q is a Braum skillshot that does damage, slows, and applies your passive. This spell is your primary way to catch the enemies on close combat to keep applying stacks of your passive.

Your W. Jump to an ally giving some armor and magic resistance to you and him. This spell is used as a moving skill, it can save your life so many times.

This is your E. Braum protects himself with his shield in the direction of your mouse. When your shield is up, you will block all the projectiles coming, causing them to hit you instead of the allies on your back (skills and autoattacks can't go throught your position), and the first projectile damage is reduced to 0, all the consecutive attacks has a damage reduction.

Your R. This amazing ultimate has an AOE knock-up and slow. When you cast this spell, all the enemies arround you are knocked up, also throw a glacial line that knock up the first objective hitted, this line won't knock up more enemies, anyway it will apply a slow in the area for 4 seconds.

Laning Phase

The laning phase is not the best moment for Braum, you will have to control your bush and try to Q the enemy everytime you can, protect your carry with your W and E if they want to trade damage, mitigating all the damage you can. Probably you won't be able to do more since you are 6.

Mid Game

Ok, we got the level 6! Now we are so strong. In this moment you should be able to win 2v2 in your lane, because you can shield all the enemy ADC damage with your shield, stack your passive and knock up them with your ulti, too much CC and protection to lose.
Just keep warding to not get ganked by their jungler, control the dragon vision and try to be in all teamfights, Braum need to be with the other teammates to have the maximum impact on the fights.

Late Game

This is your stronger moment, at this point you will be tanky enough to take so many damage, so you have to mitigate all the enemy damage as posible on teamfights, at the same time try to stack your passive as many objective as posible, stunning them and use your ultimate to engage or disengage. Remember to ward nashor and keep map control.

Fight

It's time to talk about fights:

The perfect engage would be to get close (using flash or trap them) and use your ultimate to catch as many targets as you can, then are different things that could happen:

1.- The enemies try to run away of your team, so you will chase them trying to apply your passive as many objectives as posible to stun them.

2.- The enemies try to kill you, so you will have to rise up your shield and jump back when your life is critical, blocking all the damage you can and giving your team the chance to win the fight.

3.- They try to attack your team, so you have to jump to an ally who is being the enemy objective (probably your adc) and protect him with your shield, mitigating all the damage as posible.

If they engage, use your ulti as a disengage:

1.- If you can win the trade, apply your passive as many objective as posible and use your shield to protect your teammates from all the damage you can.

2.- If you can't win the trade, jump to an ally (far from enemies) and keep running back.
