Runes

The only modification you can have in mind is that if you pick the Scaling Mana Regen Runes (yellow) you should not get Chalice of Harmony because you'll end up with a worthless immense amount of Mana Regen. Instead you can pick Scaling Health Runes.

Items

About items there's not much to think about... If the enemy mid is kicking your *** get some Magic Resist. If not and you are doing quite well then stack Ability Power and Magic Penetration.
