Hi i will show to you how i play jax my build and some tips with him.
It is seldom the case where a champion is defined by his actions after joining the League of Legends rather than before. Such is the case with Jax, for whom the argument could be made that he is the most prolific tournament fighter currently at the Institute of War. Before joining the League, Jax was an unremarkable soldier-for-hire. For reasons known only to the former leader of the League, High Councilor Reginald Ashram, Jax was put on the top of the list of candidates to receive a League Judgment - the interview process that either accepts or rejects a prospective champion. His Judgment was the quickest in League history, where the Doors of Acceptance glowed and slowly swung open as soon as it began. Jax faced no recorded Observation or Reflection during his Judgment.
Jax proved himself to be an immediate terror in the Fields of Justice. The self-proclaimed ''Armsmaster of the League'' rattled off a streak of consecutive wins that to this day has not been matched. A number of summoners in the League grew concerned that the perceived objectivity of the League of Legends would be questioned by the presence of an unknown fighter who was unbeatable. For this reason, the new leader of the League (following Reginald Ashram's disappearance), High Councilor Heyward Relivash, created special restrictions for Jax to fight under. This was something the League had never done before, and something that has never been done since. The burly fighter responded by imposing his own special conditions; as a means of protest, he permitted himself to fight using only a brass lamppost. Neither the League's sanctions nor his own has affected his winning ways. The League has since rescinded its sanctions, but Jax has not; he fights and fights well with his trusty brass lamppost.
"Be advised - there has been an outbreak of lamppost-shaped bruises in the League of Legends." - Gragas
Pros / Cons
+ Capable of extremely high damage
+ One of the League's best duelists
+ Quite easy and fast in the jungle
+ Great gap closer and escape mechanism
- Not as tanky as he was before update
- Power drops if he loses stacks
- Hard to master
- Item reliant (who isn't?)
Greater Mark of Armor Penetration
Greater Seal of Armor
Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist
Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed
Greater Mark Of desolation I use the Greater Mark of Desolation because in the bigining you won´t to guve the max of damage possibel. you can also use in the MArks Greater Mark of Hybrid Penetration wiil give armor penetration and magic penetration
I use the Greater Seal of Armor because i usualy play him solo top and because of that i think its better if he have some armor.
I use Greater Glyph of Scaling Magic Resist because i like jax Tanky
I use Greater Quintessence of Movement Speed because sometimes if you gank mid you will need that to chace the mid champ and with this is easier.
This is my masterys i use both Weapon Expertise and Arcane Knowledge because it bost Empower and the other abilities
Use this if you won´t a hybrid champ with some defend and some HP
Rylai's Crystal Scepter
I start with Wriggle's Lantern to have some life steal BUT the more important resean for i buy lantern is because of the free ward with the free ward you can push and your lane and farm with be consern with the jungler because if he appear you will see him in the bushes because of the ward.
I buy Ninja Tabi because normaly in the game people play with AD champs but if the other team have more AP don´t be afread and buy Mercury's Treads
The reason why i buy the Rylai's Crystal Scepter is jax needs some HP and the Scepter gives him and also gives AP and the abilite to when he use one abilite he slowes the ennemy and because i think that with the Atma's Impaler and Trinity Force jax have enough damage so i think that he needs more AP.
Other nice items with jax
if you won´t a more tanky jax and gives a exelente Unique passive for jax that whit Phisical atacks reduces the enemy movement speed for 40% for 2.5 seconds
A lot of people who play's with jax use black cleaver because gives a nice damage, gives atack speed and the passive abilite of The Black Cleaver is ezelente for jax because makes the oponent more squishi.
this is also a great item for jax because gives a nice amount of Magic resistance gives a sheildm when you have low HP and have a great passive abilite. For every 2.5% of HP that jax loses he win +1 of damage
this is also a nice item for Jax because gives armor, atack speed, and damage and have a nice passive abilite: on hit a enemy gives bonus magic damage equal to 4% of the target's maxium healt.
Items that should use on jax if wan´t her more tanky
this is a nice item only if on the Jax build you do HP. Because with this item 1.5% of HP is becames damage.
it gives magic resistance and have a nice passive ability that removes all debuffs of your champ and if the other team have a lot of CC champs i advide you to buy this item is cheap and works well.
i only advise to do this iteam if you do a Atma's Impaler and a Trinity Force because Warmog's Armor is a nice item but in jax only works if he still gives a powrfull damege.
a good item if you the other team have a AP champ feed or the team have a lot of AP champs.
is a great item for Magic resistance because it gives a nice amount of it and also have HP, ad mana but is really a good item because of the unique passive that Blocks one negative spell every 45 seconds.
The reason why i put Empower first is because when you use Leap Strike if you use Empower you take more damage and if you give basic hits on a enemys and after give one hit use emediatly Empower you will give a second hit with more steang
When you do basic Hits to a enemy use Empower because you will give consecutive hit
Jax Ability Explanation
- (Innate): Every time Jax performs an autoattack, he gains 4 / 6 / 8 / 10 / 12 / 14 % attack speed. This buff lasts for 2.5 seconds and stacks up to 6 times.
- (Active): Jax leaps towards a target, dealing physical damage if the target was an enemy.
- Active): Jax charges his weapon with energy, causing his next autoattack or Leap Strike to deal additional magic damage. This ability resets the autoattack timer.
- (Active): Jax enters a defensive stance for up to 2 seconds, dodging all incoming basic attacks and taking 25% less damage from area of effect abilities. At the end of the duration or if Counter Strike is activated again, Jax deals physical damage and stuns nearby enemies for 1 second. This spell deals 20% additional damage for each attack dodged to a maximum of 100% increased damage.
- Passive): Jax deals additional magic damage on every third basic attack. The counter will be reset if he does not attack for 2.5 seconds.
(Active): Jax gains armor and magic resist.
The best summoner spell with jax is the Flash because its a better way to suprise your enemy and ascape.
I use ignite because usually i play solo top versus Sion Talon Gangplank and with ignite they don´t regenerate so much life and when champs try to escape we just ignite them and we win the kill.
Other nice spell is Ghost because its also a way of escape and suprise your anemy
The reason why i dont use Exhaust is because of the Hextech Gunblade
I hope you like this guide and build.
With Jax you have a lot of items that work well with him so you can see a lot of different builds but this build is the build that i enjoy more and make me with the bigest score.
And if you saw something wrong and you don´t like it plz comment but comment if you also like it :P
