Introduction:

Welcome!



This is my second guide in moba fire, and the first in english, i hope you enjoy.



I will talk about 3 things here:



Her have a ok scaling and a good base damage from the E and Q, but you cant try to solo any adc (only ezreal) if you are with almost the same itens, even if the enemy adc is 1 item behind is possible to lose.



You is at 50% without support, stay with him, and you can try to do something.



You only can try to play with kalista if you know how to do the kiting really well.



I already did something about 60 games with her, this build is probably the best, i have tried almost everything with her.

Pros/Cons:

Pros

+ High mobility.
+ Good harass.
+ You can be safe farming.
+ Ultimate is good for initiation.
+ You can do outplays.
+ You'r good at chases and kiting.
Kalista is wonderful for small exchanges, she has a high burst damage in the first seconds of the fight and after dealing the damage, she can easily get out of the fight.

Cons

+ Squishy
+ Can't trade without support, and need to be linked to Kalista
+ Need a good synergy with the support.
+ Need a huge knowledge with adc and kiting.
+ It's hard to master.
She does not have much damage, she only can use offensive manner two skills if she is alone, and she needs to be very careful to not be caught out of position or face an enemy adc alone.

Skills:

Martial Poise
// Kalista Will drive through the direction where you click when she launches her attack, dashing a short distance.
// Kalista cannot cancel her basic attacks and they will miss if she loses sight of her target before they hit. The distance travelled scales with THE LEVEL OF THE BOOTS, and is increased by 25% when dashing backwards, Kalista begins the game with a unique item, The Black Spear that can links Kalista with one of your team mates, and toggle Sentinel passive and Fate's Call.
// This is what makes Kalista, so Kalista probably is the best champion for kiting, but this mean that you need to know how to play this game, and how to play as ADC, another thing is that this is you only escape, so one wrong click and you are in serious problem, and another thing that her passive dont scale with movement speed, but with level of the boots, Boots of Speed>Berserker's Greaves>Berserker's Greaves - Homeguard


Pierce
// Kalista hurls a fast and narrow spear dealing damage to the first target.
// If Pierce scores a kill, the spear will continue onward, passing all Rend stacks from the dead victim to the next enemy it hits. And this is a good poke skill, the problem is that is not wide, and is really hard to learn how to hit, but there is some other good things about this skill, first, if you use it you active you passive, so u can dash without hitting anything, so u can jump some walls, this video shows some of them.

Sentinel
// If Kalista and her Oathsworn ally attack the same target within 1.5 seconds of each other, the target will take additional magic damage, Kalista commands a soul sentinel to the target location within range.
// Sentinel is her W, it comes with two things, first is a active that you can spawn a ghost, something like that and its can patrol 7 times, so u can from the bot lane put a patrol from bot to mid and it can make this 7 times, is a really good active. A tip is to press W and put you mouse over the map to the mid lane, so u dont need to lose time.
// The another thing is a passive, and its really good, but need you support help, and a great synergy with you support if u want to make it work really well, if u atk something you will mark it, and when the champion that you are linked will deal some extra damage, the champion that u are linked can mark too, so if him atk something it will mark it and you need atk it for deal the extra damage.

Rend
// Kalista basic attacks and Pierce leave a spear lodged in her target for 4 seconds, if active Kalista will rips all spears from nearby enemies, dealing damage.
// This skill is great, but for it works you need 2 things, first is atk speed, and the second is to reset it in a minion so u can use again, it will take a while to get how to use this skill well.
Another thing that this skill do is the damage against baron/dragon, so you can secure them.
After the buff in the rend that when you kill with rend you will recover 20Mp plus 20Mp if you kill two or more, this make even more easy to farm and sustain in lane.

Fate's Call
// Kalista draws her Oathsworn ally next to her making him untargetable, Kalista Oathsworn can right-click a target location to dash there, and knocking up them.
// This spell is really good with meele supports, but there is something special, you really need a good synergy with you support, so again, Kalista need to be in duo with the support.

This sequence is for now being the best one, you can replace the W on the third level by another E if you need to exchange at level 3.

After the buff in Rend this is the best choice, and you focus in damage first and then atkspeed.

Spells:

Barrier
// Shields your champion for 95 + (20 per level) for 2 seconds. 210 second cooldown.
// Gives you a shield that can block damage, its better than heal for this mean, but dont give extra movespeed, or help you team, only use if you are agains burst damage, or champions that can reduce heal, like Tristana,Miss Fortune and Varus.


Flash
// Teleports your champion toward your cursor's location. 300 second cooldown.
// This spell is essential, you escape from ganks and various skills shots, you can use to reach the other side of the wall, therefore some champions need to do or a longer path or use some skill that does the same.

Heal
// Heals the caster and the allied champion nearest to the caster's cursor (or the most wounded ally if no target is near the cursor) by 90-345 health, and gives affected champions +30% movement speed for 1 seconds. Heal is 50% less effective on allies previously healed with another Summoner Spell Heal within the past 35 seconds. 240 second cooldown.
// Heal even after a lot of nerfs is still a good option, it can help you team and give you movespeed.

Exhaust
// Exhausts target enemy champion, reducing their damage dealt by 40% for 2.5 seconds and reducing their attack and movement speed by 30% for the duration. Also shreds 10 Armor and Magic Resistance. 210 second cooldown.
// This spell don't work well with Kalista, this is a defensive spell, but leave it to you support, if you support is bad don't even play with Kalista.

Cleanse
// Removes all disables and summoner spell debuffs affecting your champion and lowers the duration of incoming disables by 65% for 3 seconds. (Does not remove the healing reduction from ignite) 210 second cooldown.
// A great spell against Fiddle, Nasus, Amumu, and any CC, but u can have an item for 1350 gold that gives the same thing, only use it if you are against Fiddle support + Amumu jungle, a lot of CC.

Why use this mastery tree?
// 1° Double-edged sword, as the name says, it harms you also however it's a fair exchange, and nobody wants a fair exchange, then leaves it to meele champions.
2° You dont need Feast, because every wave of minion you only will receive 18 HP and 6MP.
3° Blade/Spell weaving, Kalista somehow has both modes of damage(skill/AA), so it's good to have both spells.
4° Dangerous Game,well, you recover mana and life, you probably will come out of a ignite alive and can get mana to use Q again in a corpse with 100 life.
5° The defenses are basic, and there is no need to have 3% extra life on adc, at the end of the game it will give you a maximum of 80 extra life.[/indent]

- Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed: With this build Kalista don't have alot of Atk Speed, with this she can get a good amount of Attack Speed and it's better for Kalista early game Harass and farm.

- Greater Quintessence of Attack Damage: This make easier for Kalista to farm under tower in early game, and help with harass too.

- Greater Mark of Attack Damage: This make easier for Kalista to farm in early game, and help with harass too.

- Greater Seal of Armor: This make you receive less damage from the enemy ADC and Support AA, its a good defensive Seal, you can put health seal too, but is situational.

- Greater Glyph of Magic Resist: This make you receive less damage from support, and some skills, its the best Glyph for Kalista, you can have [Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction] too.

Support synergy:


Is not a good choice as support, her E can help you for harass, and her damage too, but only that, Kalista have an extra power with meele supports.



Same like lulu, but worse.



Is same as lux, but annie have extra damage and cc, maybe can works against some adc, like draven and vayne.


Only works as a extreme defensive support with Kalista, so probably not, but it can works if you are against a Caitlyin or Graves.

Worse than anything, so no.
Its perfect for Kalista, is in the god tier with kalista.




Same as Janna, but do the work better than janna in lane phase, but worse in mid/late game.


Who still use him?
Is good as an offensive lane, dont works at 100% but is fine, if Sona is against Kalista you probably will have a hard time.


Better than Braum, probably the best support for Kalista, Alistar have all things that Kalista need.


Same as Braum, a little worse than alistar, but still god tier with Kalista.



Only works because he is OP, but others champions are better than him.


I have somethings to try, i'm still looking for experiences to edit this.
