Greater Mark of Magic Penetration : Very.. Very.. Obvious Reasons..
Greater Seal of Scaling Mana Regeneration Greater Glyph of Scaling Mana Regeneration : AP Kog'Maw Need tons of Mana and I tend to spam Void Ooze for harassment and last hits.
Greater Quintessence of Ability Power : For the Extra Bit of AP at start. (Please do not under-estimate the power of 15 AP) It can make a difference.
I go for a 9/0/21 Build Mainly for
as Blue Buffs and Reaching 6/11/16 Lvl are Extremely Important for Kog'Maw.
You may want to go for 9/21/0 Build for more survivability.
BUT as a AP Kog'Maw, Living Artillery has a max range of 2000.
Now tell me why would you go head on with your opponent.
Boots of Swiftness
More Movement Speed to keep up with your target, works great with Rylai's Crystal Scepter.
More Magic Penetration always helps, but if you get Void Staff. The boost of Magic Penetration will not be as much.

- Supreme AP boost
Rylai's Crystal Scepter
- To be able to constantly hit with your ultimate without them getting away.
- Crazy Slow combined with Void Ooze.
- No Reason to why not to get it.
- 140 AP
- Crazy Passive which gives Crazy AP boost when combined with Archangel's Staff
Hextech Revolver to Will of the Ancients
- Supreme sustainability in lane with Clarity and Blue Buff.
- Minimize the need to go back and heal.
For your Final Item, it is up to you.
I decided on Zhonya's Hourglass because it gives 100 AP and the crucial 2 seconds for my team to save me or for my Caustic Spittle and Void Ooze to Cooldown.
- Void Staff if your opponent has lots of Magic Resistance.
- Banshee's Veil for irritating spells like Demacian Justice, Ace in the Hole, Nether Grasp and Requiem.
Caustic Spittle - Good for simple last hits and harassment.
Bio-Arcane Barrage - Mainly used to get Blue Buff and Dragon. Always remember the extra range it gives may help to snag a kill.
Void Ooze - Awesome for harassment and last hitting waves. Be sure to hit the creeps and your opponent with it.
Living Artillery - Your Bread and Butter, more like Meat and Sauce tho. Extremely versatile, Mainly used to smack your opponents like flies but can also be used to check Bushes, Jungle, Dragon and Baron!
My Skill Sequence is basically to reach the highest damage output by spells as soon as possible.
You may argue whether to max Void Ooze or Caustic Spittle, but remember Void Ooze is also a great Harassment/Farming spell. Not to even mention the Slow it gives.
Flash - Escape or Get in range for your Living Artillery to clean up a leak.
Clarity - More Mana is never bad, it also helps give you longer in-lane sustainability.
Ignite - You may want to get this, but it will not be useful later on as you will be nuking your enemies down at 2000 range.
Ghost - This is fine, but i really recommend Clarity
Clairvoyance - This is also fine, but i never found myself in a situation that need this.
Rally - Seriously.. Do i have to Explain..?
Pros / Cons
Able to Nuke down squishy opponents in a few spells, from a HUGE RANGE.
Your opponent tends to die before reaching you. =D
Easily piss off opponents.
Triggering hatred towards you.
Rather kill you and die.
-Really.. I can't really find Cons..
You may say squishy but i'm never really go head on with the opponent.. Hmm.. Well Okay.
Oh! Mana Dependent! More like Blue Buff dependent tho..

Ever had the experience of your opponents hugging their towers like no tomorrow?
It never happen to me when i'm using Kog'Maw, With Living Artillery there is no place safe. (Besides Their Base of Course) Keep Shooting, they will eventually back to heal and the game is over!
Don't be afraid of tanks, keep nuking them. Of course if there are other paper opponents,
PLEASE NUKE THEM FIRST!
Things to Note.
Always, Always, Always Stay Behind A Fight. You will be focused down if they see you.
Don't just run when you are chased, throw a Void Ooze ( Ensure that it will slow most of your opponent).
If you know that your death is certain, please drag your opponent to hell with you.
Remember you have Icathian Surprise, make use of it!
Sometimes Champions like Evelynn and Twitch will find you and focus you.
Burst them down!Heros like them is rather paper unless them build tank..
Recommended Allies: Shen, Amumu and Galio. Basically Champions who can take aggression away from you, even better if they can slow. Especially Shen as my friend tend to use him when we play. He taunts, I kill!
Dreaded Opponents: Ezreal, Tryndamere and Kassadin Basically Champions who can escape very well.. Also beware of Bursters like Brand and Ryze, with much skill and luck you may also burst them down.. But.. Just saying!
Maximize the power of Living Artillery use it to check Bushes, Jungle, Dragons even Baron!
Living Artillery requires some time to practice, please don't just try it once and give up.
