Personally i prefer playing Hecarim with Damage items since i am able to oneshot carries/squishys and get out quick and safe,also i can deal with Tanks with this build,except if a game doesn't go that well and i am forced to get some tanky items.With the new Ghost change combined with Stormraiders Surge its even easier(the damage is insane)

Red Side Clear: Gromp/Wolfs/Blue buff/Crab(to get some HP back and map control)then head mid/bot(if you can't then just go for your Red->Top gank)


Blue Side Clear: Red Buff/Raptors/Blue Buff and Top gank.

Your main goal is to be as effective as possible in the early game,that means successful ganks,decent farm(you can do both your mobility is huge and your clear speed is fine)
But mostly focus on ganks,after ganking succesfully coordinate your team to Drakes.

Gank and take 1v1 fights as much as you can.Hecarim's early/mid game is insane especially with Stormraiders Surge and Red Smite.
Try to do Rift herald(harder to do now) but its a 20min buff which is so useful on Hecarim(adds so much burst damage)
This will help you snowball even more.

Use your advantage properly,try not throwing and going late.
Late game is a nightmare for Hecarim.
I can say that late game is his only weakness(if there's a team with huge amounts of crowd control that can lock him down)

In this patch i believe that someone can reach at least Diamond just by playing Hecarim with Ghost/Stormraiders Surge (the damage and speed is ridiculous)
