well i also wanted to criticize some thing but Wayne3100 has just said everything^^

0/21/9 is a must-have on malphite and Clarity is really strange, because if you have the Philosopher's Stone you will mainly be out of mana issues anyway. To benefit your team, build the Philosopher's Stone into Shurelya's Battlesong. This will also be replacing Ghost so you can take Flash instead

my usual item build on malph is: Mercury's Treads (i agree, best boots), Frozen Heart (cool for mana and armor, true), Warmog's Armor (if you have tons of MR and ARMOR and 4k hp, you´ll show'em what unkillable means), Force of Nature (MS+MR, nice item), EITHER Randuin's Omen OR Sunfire Aegis and Shurelya's Battlesong for team MS and regeneration.

i really dont understand the atmas, you have no attack speed and your ad will raise by about 60 if you have 3k HP, thats not really wha you need... and Atma's Impaler without Warmog's Armor is strange

besides, your skill sequence is beyond strange. Ground Slam is 100 times cooler than Seismic Shard and you should get one level of Brutal Strikes at lvl3 for farming

- Not sure whether this guide is finished yet, doesn't look like it to be honest.
Add a section on gameplay (early game, mid game, late game, teamfights etc.), describe why someone should pick Malphite over some of the other solo tops (I'm guessing you go top, right?) etc.

- Use icons. Simply type [ [ Malphite ] ] (delete the spaces) and you will get Malphite. Alternatively, use [ icon = Malphite size = 35 ] to get (use this if you don't like the default size of your icons or the color of the text).
You can use this for champions, items, runes, masteries, pretty much everything.

- Go for either 0/9/21 or 0/21/9, this is a mix that is simply subpar. Personally I would remove the 4 points in Expanded Mind and invest them in Evasion . I would also only invest 1 point in Harden Skin , remove the other two and get Nimbleness + 1 point in Defensive Mastery (the second and third point in Harden Skin are not worth it since they only give half of what the first point will give). Finally, I would recommend getting 1 point in Meditation instead of getting 1 point in Greed , you already buy 2 gold/10 items and Malphite can use some mana regen in the early game.

- Mana regen brings me to my next point: Clarity. I know this is a popular pick on Malphite, but it is simply not good. It really isn't. Clarity is a summoner spell that you use the first couple of games on a new champ that has mana issues. After a while, you adjust your playstyle and possibly your items/runes in order to fix the mana issues that a champion has. In Malphite's case, Chalice of Harmony is a viable and cheap item that you can buy early to significantly reduce any mana issues that Malphite has.

- Ghost: not necessarily bad, but not as good as Flash. You mention that Ghost+ Seismic Shard increase your movement speed significantly and that using both of those should be enough to escape (which essentially is true, I guess), but the use of Seismic Shard is exactly why you don't need Ghost. Flash is not only useful to escape (especially when flashing through walls), but also very good offensively to get in range for a surprise- Unstoppable Force or to dodge skillshots such as snares.

- Not a big fan of Atma's Impaler since Malphite's damage comes from abilities and not auto-attacks. I like the armor to increase your Ground Slam damage, but thats it. Why not buy Thornmail?

- You mention that Malphite should get Sunfire Aegis, Frozen Heart and Randuin's Omen are three items Malphite should get regardless of the opposition. While it is true you want all three items, if you face a high-AP enemy team there's no point in getting these items, certainly not if you rush them before mres items.

- Flat HP Quints aren't necessarily worse than HP/lvl quints, they are simply aimed more at the early game and will boost your passive greatly. Since I wouldn't buy Atma's anyway, I'd replace your HP/lvl Quintessences with flat ones and replace the Ruby Crystal start with a Regrowth Pendant + health/mana pot start, that way you'll get Philosopher's Stone before buying Heart of Gold which should also help to reduce your mana issues. It is also a stronger choice for your sustain in lane.
