Introduction

Hello,

This is a build mainly tested in TWISTED TREELINE (3v3).
This build might work in 5v5 but since i barely play 5v5 for now i'll have to test it out later.

Anyway, if u are testing this build out in a 5v5 id like any feedbacks from u guys/girls and screenshots.

THIS BUILD IS FOCUSED ON TANKING MOSTLY.

Here is a screenshot of my last 7 games as mundo.
(Theres a loss i know! i hate feeders)

I apologize in advance for bad english (secondary language) =D

**Before commenting on my item build TEST it please.**

Who is Mundo?

It is said that the man now known as Dr. Mundo was born without any sort of conscience. Instead, he had an unquenchable desire to inflict pain through experimentation. By the time he was five, most of the pets in the Zaun neighborhood where Mundo grew up had gone missing. By his teenage years, his parents were nowhere to be found. By the time he had legally acquired his license to practice medicine, he had been acquitted of thirty-eight separate charges of murder by the Zaun authorities; the lack of evidence made prosecution impossible.

Dr. Mundo has become equal parts serial killer and mad scientist, though no one is entirely sure how his butchery qualifies as science. However, he has made tremendous strides in mapping the pain response in the human brain and body, going so far as being able to suppress it, even in the most excruciating of circumstances. He has also tapped into the primal parts of the brain through chemistry, learning how to enhance aggression and adrenaline, as well as dulling conscience and the survival instinct. In short, Dr. Mundo's life's work has been how to create the perfect science-enhanced killer. Unfortunately, the city-state of Noxus regards such behavior as a sign of initiative and ambition, rather than inhumanity. Originally fighting for Zaun, Dr. Mundo was recruited to also fight for Noxus in the League of Legends; the Madman dual faction status represents the fruits of a blossoming relationship between Zaun and Noxus. He continues his experiments to this day, even using himself as an experimental subject, as evidenced by his disfigured appearance and his... unique manner of speaking. There are rumors that the High Command in Noxus has given him free reign to pursue his life's work in his spare time.

Beware the Madman of Zaun. In his eyes, you are already dead.

Skills Info

Goes Where He Pleases : Pure Awesomeness. You can stay longer in lanes before you have to back up.

Infected Bonesaw : Your best kiting/chasing tool when you play mundo. Use it when you're low health to slow chasing enemies or use it when u need to reach a low health player.

Cost : 30/50/70/90/110 Health
Cooldown : 4 Seconds

Heart Zapper : THIS is your top damage ability. Burning Agony is a magic damage AOE which you'll use mostly in team fights. This spell is awesome for single target too (Care as this spell leeches your health - Mundo is squishy early game). Crowd Control effects reducer.

Cost : 20/28/35/43/50 Health
Cooldown : 4 Seconds

Blunt Force Trauma : Nice tower killer! Awesome to focus down a player. Also, the lower your health is, higher is the Attack Damage boost from Masochism.

Cost : 15/30/45/60/75
Cooldown : 7 Seconds

Maximum Dosage : Your Ultimate ability allows you to regen your health (40% of your max health) and upgrades your movement speed by 35%. Use it to chase/escape your foes.

Cost : 20 Health
Cooldown : 75 Seconds

Runes choice, why?

This build is focused on tanking so i spam health runes.

Vitality and not Fortitude runes because at level 10 the fortitude runes are outmatched and i prefer end game build.

(If you prefer high health pool early game, go with fortitude runes!).

Mastery

Offense : 3 in Archmage's Savvy because this mastery boost your Burning Agony.
1 in Deadliness... well because you need 4 point to get further.
(**remove this point and put it in Cripple if your using Exhaust**).
1 in Sorcery for cooldown reduction.

Defense : 3 in Hardiness (MOAR Armor the better).
3 in Resistance (MOAR Magic Resist the better).
4 in Evasion because Strenght of spirit is useless to mundo, Preservation too and
Mender's Faith too.
3 in Harden Skin because Nimbleness's speed boost isnt worth the ****py 2% proc
chance and Defensive mastery sounds pretty useless to me as creeps are barely a
threat.
4 in Veteran's Scars. Mundo is Health Hungry :)
3 in Ardor because the little attack speed boost hekos your Blunt Force Trauma spell
and your ability power by as small %. (you get AP from Archmage's Savvy.
1 in Tenacity. Well thats just an awesome tank mastery :).

Utility : 1 in Haste to boost your Ghost spell.
3 in Perseverance for increased health regen %. (I know, Mundo doesnt use mana and
mana regen is useless. BUT Health regen % boost is just awesome when you have
your full health regen build.

Summoner Spells

Ghost : My favorite spell. Kinda required for mundo so you can chase or escape. if you use it with your ultimate your run speed is just wonderful.

Ignite : Personal choice. You might prefer other summoner spells, but personally i like it because this spell adds good single target DPS and nice healing reducer. Also used to catch low health foes that hug a tower or if you cant afford tower diving and your target is 1 melee swing from dieing.

----

Exhaust : A good optional spell, good to drastically reduce your target's damages and movement speed.

Flash : Want more escape/chasing tools? Go with Flash as you can use it to teleport through thin walls or to get a gap closer to your target.

----

Smite : Good if you plan to be a jungler.

Heal : Not really useful for you. Leave it to support champions.

Fortify : Again, leave it to Supports.

Revive : You're a tank and Mundo has great escape mechanics. If you are aware of incoming ganks/mias you wont die much.

Teleport : Not for you. (Personal choice)

Cleanse : Your Burning Agony already reduce Crowd Control effects on you and your Mercury Treads too. You dont need more tenacity (tenacity = reduced Crowd Control effects).

Rally : Leave that to support champions.

Clairvoyance : Leave that to other champions.

Clarity : Mundo doesnt use mana. Plain useless.

Items

Why did i choose these items :

My first item is Regrowth Pendant because early games u shred your health with your spells, this item + Goes Where He Pleases keeps you from backing up too early.

Then rush for Warmog's Armor. Warmog gives you a good amount of health/Health regen. I rush Warmog before Spirit Visage because i stack the Warmog's bonuses early and get massive health pool early.

After Warmog's Armor i get my Mercury's Treads. You need run speed and also gives you magic resist and tenacity, tenacity stacks with your Heart Zapper.

Next item on your list is Spirit Visage. Just uber combo with your ultimate (15% more heal out of it). Cooldown reduction is awesome to cleave MOAR! (more health and magic resist)

Once this is done i usually gets Sunfire Aegis as this item mitigates perfectly with burning agony (immolation aura :P). This pretty much close my CORE build.

For your next items, you have multiple options :

Force of Nature for caster heavy teams. Good magic resist, Nice health regen boost and more movement speed. (Suggested)

Randuin's Omen AWESOME to counter melees. armor/health regen/CD Reduction. Also when enemies hits you, slows movement/attack speed by 35% and u can active it for an extra 35%. Just awesome to counter them or lower the damages on your teammates. (Suggested)

Guardian Angel Never tested. I guess if you need to feel unkillable even more.....
I prefer not getting it.

Abyssal Mask in testing phase. Could be good to add aoe pressure in team fights, more magic resist. Also reduce resistance of foes(more damages out of Heart Zapper.

Banshee's Veil Get this instead of Randuin's Omen if the opposite team is too caster heavy.

Atma's Impaler if opposite team is melee heavy, this gives you a tad of armor and also adds 2% of your max health as extra damage which is awesome boost to your AD. I guess the crit is cool too =D (A little off the guide as this is a Tank guide :).

For now thats all the optional i have in mind!

Playing as Mundo

If you can, get top solo lane!

Mainly what you need to know about mundo, if how to farm your items quick and harrass like mad.

Farming :

-Burning Agony is awesome to aoe pack of creeps (considering your health isnt too low!)
(TIP : You can activate/deactivate Heart Zapper to last hit creeps.

-If opposite team harrass you too much, use your cleaver to last hit creeps like a ranged!

-Both lanes are greatly pushed, no one to gank... Farm creeps in the woods as you can kill
pretty much any pack of creeps by level 5-6

Harrassing :

-Use your cleaver as soon as its off cooldown if you want to piss off foes.

-When farming lane creeps, bug melee champions and get near them as you aoe packs.

SOLO Fight :

-Cleave throw whenever its ready.

-Activate Burning Agony when you are near your target.

-DONT FORGET to deactivate it if you have to chase a target thats not in range at the
moment. Activate it again when u get to him.

-Use Masochism for heavyer melee swings.

-Your ultimate can be used as a heal, a chasing tool (faster movement speed) and escaping
tool for sure.

TEAM Fight :

-Use your Cleaver Throw to slow champions that tries reaching your squishy mates or to
slow fleeing enemies at the end of a fight.

-When using Burning Agony, your main goal is to get as much targets in your AOE.

-Masochism is ued to focus down a target.

-Ultimate is used for the same purposes as solo fights

IF you can feed like mad Mundo is godlike :).

**YOU are a tank. If you fear initiating fights, tanks arent for you.**
