Introduction

Like playing carries? Like bursting down an enemy champion with a single combo? Like making opponenents rage and curse at you because you just killed them, thier friend, and didn't die. Do you like pentakills? Do you like not dying?

If you answered yes to these questions, than Ryzetank is right for you! Unlike other champions, Ryze is one of the few champs that does not require a large ammount of AP to do huge ammounts of AP like, say Viegar . Instead, you can focus on increasing your survivability with maxing health and mana, as well as building high armor and magic resist. You will be a force mid game, and late game, you will be virtually unkillable.

Pros / Cons

Unlike other ryze builds, Ryzetank can be heavily item dependent, needing some kills and quite a few last hits to really get his item build going. However, once you do start going, they'res little to stop you.

Pros:

- Very strong mid to late game
- Almost impossible to kill late game
- Can play very agressively mid to late game
- Strong Farmer with Can contibute to a team fight by delivering AOE and a very long snare in
- One of the best nukes in the game

Cons:

- Realtively squishy early game
- Fairly item dependent
- A bit mana starved early
- Not a true tank, needs another tank to initiate
- NEEDS LAST HITS

Runes

My runes are very much a personal preference. I tend to gravitate towards runes that will make my early game more effective, as I need my items for late game dominance.

For Reds: I like Greater Mark of Magic Penetration because all your damage will come from your magic damage, and once you get to 5-0-4 after 15 minutes, everyone and their grandmother will at least grab a (Icon=Negatron Cloak size=32)

For yellows: I find myself looking to really zone my opponents and with (Icon=Overload=size 32) I can harass enemies with no problem. However, this comes at a price, and regenerating more mana with Greater Seal of Replenishment is just the sollution to your mana problems.

For Blues: 9 ((Greater Glyph of Intellect)) will get you 101 more mana at level 1. Really synergieses with (Icon=Overload=size 32) and helps to solve your early mana problems.

For quints: I run 3 Greater Quintessence of Health witch is a personal prefernce. I like to play agressively, from level 1-18, i will go for the kill, and an extra 78 health can be the difference between a death and a kill, so thats what I take, however if you have something else that works for you, by all means run it.

Masteries

I usually run my 9-0-21 build. I feel it helps me with my offense as defense is taken care of. This is just one man's opinion though, if you have another set-up that works for you, by all means go for it.

Summoner Spells

I like and to improove escape abilty as well as to improove offensive3 ability and initiation.

Skill Sequence

While you can change the first 3 spells, I like to start with because last hitting is so so so very important, and spell flux can really get that going.

Skilling priority should go as follows:

Desperate Power -> Overload -> Rune Cage -> Spell Flux

Items

Early Game Items: Item builds are what set Ryzetank apart from every other champ ever. Anyway, starting items should usually reamain constant with a and 2x Health Potion . Now is where the build will constantly change. If i'm laning against a physical DPS champ like Ashe or Corki, im going to build a but if I see an AP champ, im most likely grab a Tear of the Godess to help last hit and harass. If i'm getting out harassed however, i will probably pick up a catalyst to help with my health problems.

Boots: Boots are another choice that depends on what you are facing. I personally like to build for the extra MR and the invaulable passive. If you aren't seeing alot of CC, buy

Mid Game Items: Now you've got your mana item and you're boots and its time to build into you're first big items. Mana shouldn't be a problem at this point, so lets truly grow into the essence of Ryzetank. Build a . That's right, you read it correctly, a Warmog's on Ryze. With last hits and safe play, you can get a lot of HP very quickly. If you still have the gold, now ***es your opposing team. If they have alot of DPS, build your or if thet have alot of AP, build your

Late Game Items: Ok, the game is wrapping up. Its now time to up the ante. Need more HP? Pick up a . More Mana? Grab and (Icon=Archangel's Staff size=32) Getting CC'd to death? Pick up your (if you didn't already)
