Threats to Olaf with this build
|Cho'Gath||You ignore his CC with your ult,which makes or breaks how you fight cho gath|
|Nunu||He cant duel you or slow you down when you ult.He counter jungles you you dont get slowed down since you clear soo fast.|
|Warwick||Yes is sustain is as high as yours.But the one thing that makes him warwick is his ult.Which you can ignore.Please|
Hello I am battle brawler and in this guide i will show you how to play Olaf, a extraordinary Bruiser with high natural sustain, DPS and resistances.
5 Reasons:Why Olaf
1.Olaf has ridiculous amounts of attack speed with his w and passive alone, allowing him to proc on-hit effects at an astounding speed.
2.Olaf can build one DMG item and full tank but still scale like a monster into late game due to his ult and w giving 80AD and 21% lifesteal,basically a free bloodthirster's worth of stats.
3.Olaf has freedom to have Berserker's Greaves as a tank since he gets free 30 MR and Armour from his ULT passively and completely ignores CC with his ULT.
4.Olaf is a very potent chaser due to his Q having literally no cooldown, not to mention his clear times are one of the fastest in the game with his sustain,spamamable Q and innate attack speed
5.Olaf has innate true damage with his e,another thing that allows him to scale into late game against tanks.
-Olaf is vulnerable to kiting if he doesn't hit his axe and/or have his ult up
-Olaf doesn't have exceptional scalings on his abilities so building full AD is not that great.
-Olaf has high base damage,and true damage that scales into late game against tanks
-Olaf has insanely high attack speed,that synergises with BOTRK to shred the HP of anyone, scaling superbly well into late game
-Olaf has incredibly fast clears and can build Devourer if need be, plus he gets a level/gold advantage over other junglers who clear slower than him
-Olaf can permaslow someone with his Undertow since spamming it simple since it has no cooldown when you pick it up.The chunk of damage it does and fully applied slow to everyone hit is incredibly pressurising and hard to deal with
-Olaf is very good at soloing objectives extremely early in the game due to his sustain and passive
Most masteries not listed are self explanatory
Normally don't take this for junglers, since it hurts you alot in the long run.But olaf has such a high amount of sustain that he can overlook the return damage.
You don't really benefit from the magic pen,but there is nothing else to take plus the armour pen is nice too.
Really good since +3% more damage helps you lifesteal more,make BOTRK even stronger and scale into late game like a raidbauss.
You have no crit and dont need crit or anymore attack speed.You can reach 2.5 attack speed easily with just base stats and BOTRK
Like devastating stikes,you take it but dont benefit alot from it since you dont have alot of AD from your build.But honestly nothing else to get.
Beast on Olaf,scales into late game and he gets the most out of it since he has that w passive healing increase
AD for early game clears and fighting, can replace with armour pen to scale into late game but since you already have true damage I prefer flat AD
Mid-Late game when the enemy magic damage dealers start to hit hard scaling Magic resist helps survive burst from them when you lose the passive Armour-MR
Early armour to help sustain,survive in early ganks and super early objectives.Standered.
This is THE core item on Olaf.With your high attack speed steroids you can proc the on-hit % health alot.Active is equally useful and is a guaranteed ranged slow to hit them with your axes easier.
CDR to spam your abilities?Epic.Tons of armour?Nice.Ultimate anti-kite item with insane mana to spam more axes?YES.
Sunfire cape works well with olaf when he charges straight into the enemy team diving the enemy backline.His flury of axes and constant AOE magic damage adds up over time.
You get passive armour and mr from your ult so you dont really need the extra from boots.Plus you ignore cc with your ult so that wastes mercury treads.Ninja tabi is another viable option though.
Core synergy with olaf. Increases your sustain to god-like levels with CDR to spam more abilities, health AND magic resist to survive all the burst.Only dont take if enemy has no magic damage other than support.
Great amounts of health, decent addition to damage and best of all a on-hit effect slows which Olaf can proc all the time.
If you cant tell by now on-hit effects are godlike for olaf.This gives him a strong magic damage source to destroy enemy teams stacking armour.Get if enemy had AP since it does steal and give MR to you.
Very strong and arguably one of the best items on olaf.Increases his AD when he is low hp to add on to his already strong low hp power.The mr is nice against burst and the shield is absolutely insane when he is low so he can take a few hits of magic damage when he runs at them
Flash is essential on alot of champions but olaf benefits heavily from ghost so take ghost unless the enemy has 2 or more blinks/Dashes.
Ghost helps you keep in range when you ult AND lets you chase way better since you run faster and pick up axes to throw faster and more often.
Has potential when you are going top since you can tp bot to turn the tables in a gank and come late game you can splitpush and tp to the teamfight if your team needs you.
Can be good when you are running at someone with low hp to sustain off them.Burst of health plus movespeed can help you reach those squishy ADC/Mid in time.And the heal is stronger when your low hp too.
Olaf's attack speed increases by 1% for every 1% of his missing health.
Undertow RANGE: 400 - 1000 COST: 60 MANA COOLDOWN: 7
ACTIVE: Olaf throws an axe in a line to a target location, dealing physical damage and Slow icon slowing enemies it passes through for between 1.5 and 2.5 seconds, depending on the distance the axe has travelled.
PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+ 100% bonus AD)
SLOW PERCENT: 29 / 33 / 37 / 41 / 45%
The axe remains at the target location until Undertow is off cooldown. Olaf can pick up the axe to reduce Undertow's cooldown by 4.5 seconds. If the axe would land inside terrain, it will instead stick to the wall.
Vicious Strikes COST: 30 MANA COOLDOWN: 16
ACTIVE: For 6 seconds, Olaf gains bonus lifesteal and bonus attack speed. During this time, Olaf also gains 0.5% enhanced healing from all sources for every 1% of his missing health.
ATTACK SPEED: 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80%
LIFE STEAL: 9 / 12 / 15 / 18 / 21%
Reckless Swing RANGE: 325 COST: 21 / 34.5 / 48 / 61.5 / 75 (+ 12% AD) HEALTH COOLDOWN: 12 / 11 / 10 / 9 / 8
ACTIVE: Olaf attacks with such force that it deals true damage to his target. The cost is refunded if Reckless Swing kills the target. Olaf's basic attacks will reduce the cooldown of Reckless Swing by 1 second.
TRUE DAMAGE: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+ 40% AD)
Ragnarok COOLDOWN: 100 / 90 / 80
PASSIVE: Olaf gains bonus armor and magic resistance.
ARMOR & MAGIC RESIST: 10 / 20 / 30
ACTIVE: Olaf instantly removes all crowd control effects from himself and becomes immune to them for 6 seconds. During this time, he loses the passive bonus but gains bonus attack damage.
ATTACK DAMAGE: 40 / 60 / 80
Lower-hp=Higher DPS and faster clears,so you want to be low hp in the jungle to clear faster,unless you are going to gank
Q:Spammable poke ability that helps clear minion and monster camps VERY fast.Ranged slow that does full damage to all hit.Max first since it has the most potential.
W:Massive boost to attack speed and lifesteal.Increases all healing when you are low.Max last since E has true damage that scales better.
E:Spammable true damage ability that scales poorly on AD.Very strong against tanks so max this second.
R:Ult gives him passive resistance +10 armour/mr up to +30 armour/mr.Always take a point in this when you can since its your ult and every rank gives +20 AD when you ult and lowers the CD,which is insane,basically a free bloodthirster when you ult and w.
No combos for olaf,just spam your q and e,hit w whenever its up and ult to dive enemy carries
-Pick up you axes often early game,especially when you have blue since you will never go oom and you clear at a ridiculous speed.
-Use e when you are duelling against tanks since its a spammable true damage nuke up every 3 seconds.
-Ult when you think you are going to get major CC on you or just want a burst of damage,you can ignore something like lissandra ult,Slows,stuns,knockups and ANY cc.
-Use BOTRK before attempting to hit enemies with your axes as it makes landing the first axe MUCH easier
-Do early dragons since you can farm up to ignore the exp disadvantage and your team gets a dragon over the enemy team.
