Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
This is my first guide/build about my favourtie support Soraka.
Actually I'm not a pro, this is just the way I like to play her.
Have fun and enjoy it :)
Pros / Cons
- best op heal
- can save your teammates
- silence without mana needed + free mana heal
- can be annoying with her e and q spamming
- op bananas!
- long CD without runes, masteries or CDR items
- squishy in early game
- often focused because of her heals and her ult
- no cc
In my opinion these masteries are pretty good with Soraka.
She's really squishy in early game so I like to put 9 points in Defense. I also put 2 pionts in Offense because of the CDR.
Do I have to explain the other 19 in Utility?
I didn't skill Biscuiteer and Explorer.. I think it's useless. Who needs a biscuit or a 1-minute-ward?!
Soraka is squishy, so I decided to choose 9 Greater Seal of Armor and 9 Greater Mark of Armor, because it's so useful against the ADC on botlane.
Furthermore I bought 9 of the Greater Glyph of Scaling Cooldown Reduction, so you don't need so much CDR items.
Last but not least 3 of the Greater Quintessence of Ability Power for more damage :)
- Flash is just a must. You can use it for chasing enemies if they got away with low HP. But it's also good to escape over walls. So, self-explanatory, isn't it? :)
- Exhaust is not a must for a support actually, but it's good if an enemy wants to escape.
Most used items
Good to run to your mates very quickly :3
This item is just good cause it has 75 AP, 20 CDR and 12 Mana Regeneration which is great.
Runic Bulwark is a must on a Support. Just look at it.
This is a must as well. Warding is your job bro! :)
Build this from your Philosopher's Stone. AP, Health, Mana, Health Reg., Mana Reg., just perfect!
Guardian Angel gives you Armor and Magic Resistance and this passive is op, isn't it? xD
More Armor for a heavy AD enemy team + Mana and CDR :) always needed.
For the ones who like much AP and Health in one. And it gives you an extra slow.. CC!!!
Soraka compared to other Supports
My dears, i tried a lot of Supports like Sona, Morgana, Nunu, Elise, Alister, Leona, Janna and Zilean. But tbh guys, no one can beat Soraka. It's just the truth! :)
Many Supports have good cc like Leona or Taric and thats quite nice actually. But Soraka's heal is just so op because you can also heal your teammates if they are on the other side of the map.
She has a silence and she can spam her q the whole time. It reduces the magic resistance on the enemies the more often you use it.
If you play a Support, it's not allowed to farm, if your ADC is in your lane. But you should farm if your ADC went back or is dead, otherwise it's wasted gold.
Especially with Soraka you should play more aggressive and poke your enemy/enemies. Try to focus the ADC, cause he will deal the most damage.
With your e you also can stop some ult's like Caitlyn's Ace in the Hole.
Use your Ult if somewhere is a teamfight.. you can save your mates and pick up some assists :)
Warding is very important so don't forget it! It can be so helpful if you know where the enemy team is.
Especially in early game it's important to ward your lane. Most teams have a Jungler and he will visit your lane if you push too hard or if they know that you didn't ward :)
The black 1 shows you, where you have to ward in early game.
The red 2 shows you, where you have to ward in mid-late game.
You don't have to ward your red-buffs (black 2), but it also gives you more vision and you can see if the enemy team wants to steal your buff! :)
The perfect lane
Not every ADC works well with Soraka.
Really good and strong lanes are:
- Soraka and Ezreal
- Soraka and Tristana
- Soraka and Miss Fortune
- Soraka and Graves
I prefer ADCs, who need mana to spam their skills or to farm. But actually it depends on your ADC if he can play this Champ or not.
If you want to try new meta, you can try some APC with Soraka. I tried Soraka-Ryze botlane, and it works! :)
Moreover I think that Annie-Soraka bot will work. Just try it! :3
I played 100 of games with Soraka and here are some of them.
I want to show you that my build works. I also lost a few games with her.. of course. But I won most of them :)
This was my guide/build.
I know it is quite short, but this is not one of these very long guides.
I didn't explain her skills or something, this is just a short version :) I hope it helped you.
