Do you think trinity force can be a good option in some of the cases? If so when should you buy it? Seen alot of them lately and i dont know why

Not the creator of this guide here but another high diamond Lee Sin player: I dont think it is worth in any cases, Lee Sin is not a farming jungler and Trinity is one of the most expensive items in the game, so it will slow down your build path a lot. Also some stats on it are wasted or not needed like the Mana, the Attack Speed and 20% CDR since this will overcap your CDR in many cases (especially because Warrior, Black Cleaver, Spirit Visage and Deaths Dance are popular options on Lee Sin). OFC Lee Sin is good at using the Sheen proc frequently but he is also not a fighter that stays in the fight for long and autoattacks the whole time, this makes him not making use of the biggest advantage of TrinityForce, the Sheen proc. Lee Sin has insane AD scalings, thats why Items with raw AD are a lot better for him.
Hope i could help you :-)

Hi Josahus!

I have been practicing Lee sin and his necessary mechanics and I just want to ask you. Which is a better keystone on Lee, Thunderlords or the new S7 mastery Courage of the Colossus? I do take Thunderlords most of the time but everytime I do that I feel really squishy.

Also, I've seen some Lee's just take the Warriors for damage item and instead of getting Cleaver they just build tanky with Deadman's, Maw, and GA, then Randuin's. So is it better to skip Cleaver or get Cleaver?

I also think Lee Sin is becoming a meta pick right now as based on Champion.gg he has an insane 34% Play rate which is the highest of all other junglers with a decent 50% winrate. What are your opinion on that.

I know I may have asked too many questions but I am just curious so that I can remember later on.

If you give me a feedback, I would like to thank you for it as your guide is great! :)

Hey,

I would usually recommend Thunderlords, but try Courage and check if it fits your playstyle better (also Courage will probably get nerfed soon, so check patch notes). Atm both masterys are viable.

The build you mention is pretty usual in a very high elo, it's really strong and gives you very good mid game stats, but I prefer going for Black Cleaver simply because the mix of the damage, tankiness and cdr is what I love. Also the build you mention gets often played with an early Tiamat (also working on a second build, maybe u saw already), which compensates the lack of damage when going for Deadmans instant after Warriors.

Yes at the moment he's overall one of the strongest junglers. His playrate was always high, but now his winrate is, too. You don't have to be as good as Lee as you had to. Lees stats used to be a little bit weaker compared to other junglers, thats changed so not just players being gods on him could be really successful.

I hope I helped you. Sry for some languange mistakes, a little bit in trouble atm, not having that much time.

Greetings Matz / jos

Hi , very nice guide . I want to ask which one quints are better for soloq ? AS or AD and why ? thanks

josahus (4) | November 30, 2016 12:35pm
Hey,
I prefered to go for AD, but with the jungle and champion adjustments AS is probably stronger, just because you can clear the jungle faster and easier.

i don't really get the 5 % cdr because with that build you already reach 40% cdr so that means you waste 6 glyphs by taking cooldown reduction ?

Hey,
just noticed that I still had 5% cdr in the runes. Just forgot to change it :D Thanks for your comment.

I have been working on my own Lee Sin guide, and I was hoping if you could tell me if you disagree with something that I have written.

Hey,
I checked your Lee Sin guide and there were some things I would do different. This may depend on the elo difference or another playstyle, idk. I will update my guide to the current patch (6.22) soon and then you can check out what I would recommend to play :)

thanks for your feedback :)
Maybe I will add a chapter about that soon with the most important champions or atleast an overall recommendation when to pick him and when not.

Hey, thank you Gaming Sewer :)
Changed the Sightstone comment.
Atm I wouldn't recommend Sunfire Cape as item. Maybe in a fulltank build but usually not.

Under the "being usefull lategame" section you want to remove the Sightstone comment removed sine it's no longer in your build.

Overall I agree with this build, but I would like you to promote Sunfire Cape more for your tanky lee option.

I think yes. If you are playing against an AP heavy team run some mr, but atm I nearly always experience AD heavy comps and then the cdr (even the 5%) are much more useful for you.
Maybe that changes with the new AP jungle friendly patch that it's more smart going for some mr, we will see.
Hope that helped you out :)

Is it still a good idea to run 6cdr runes even though you cant get 10cdr from the masteris anymore?

Hey leeftw,
thank you for your feedback. I added Dead Man's Plate as option now :)
I was simply not that active in the shorter past (as mentioned in the first chapter of the guide) and so I missed adding that one.
Please keep commenting and tell me what you think about the guide :)

This Guide looks quite good but i think you can write about Matchups so people know when to pick him. I personally like him a lot in preseason 5 as he can sustain quite good and has a goodlike early. I personally don´t think that a sightstone is important and i´m rushing tiamit first and then a tank item while following up by a last whisper and Hydra to complete the damagebuild. I then just build tank items.

I'm also used to max e instead of w. But with Patch 4.20 the jungle got really way stronger and if you max w you get a bigger shield and way more lifesteal and spellvamp. I'm pretty sure that maxing e is still totally viable but I "felt" better with maxing w - tried both already.
Try it and if you prefer to max your e keep doing it.

What is your reasoning behind maxing W second instead of E?

[-]
josahus (4) | November 29, 2014 6:23am
Thank you! :)
Maybe it gets more clear if you read the notes:
Randuin's Omen and Banshee's Veil ("Classic Tank Items") are default tank items for Lee Sin in my opinion. But in some cases and different matchups other tank items ("Tank Options"] are better.
I hope you understood why I made two sections.

Also I'm working on a second Build (not Guide!) at the moment, one for tank Lee and one for damage Lee; atleast then it should be clear what to buy ;)
Thanks for your feedback.
Greetings josahus

Nice guide! Though a bit confusing when it comes to items. Try to rearrange things. You got two sections for tank items for some reason.

You can update this guide adding more images, that would come handy too! I dont have any questions. Played Lee (Without sighstone, I think you dont actually need it) and it is just me or he's strong right now? I was killing everything!

(Posting stats, maybe they come handy)

Besten Dank!
