Introduction

Hello! My name is Julius (Summoner name is Deiru Kun) and is currently standing at PLATINUM III as of 03/17/15 on the Garena PH Server ( Hello sa mga pinoy!). I first played League of Legends around late Season 3 in which I ended with a rank of SILVER I. On season 4 I started to main Zed MID/TOP and Support role and I managed to climb up from SILVER V to PLATINUM V.

- Easy to play hard to master
- Your Q's stun can be hard to hit
- Your E can be tricky to use

You take MS QUINTS because as Bard, you will be roaming a lot. Magic Pen MARKS because all your damaging skills including passive deal magic damage. Armor seals because you're in bot lane and you will be taking some physical damage. MR/Lvl GLYPHS are taken because you won't be tanking early on laning phase and probably even on late game. Flat MR GLYPHS should work too or even hybrid of both.

I prefer 9-0-21 over 0-9-21 which I have seen in other guides, mainly because I think bard is a champion that doesn't fight in the front lines, he's more of a behind the scenes utility guy so you won't be tanking damage and you probably shouldn't unless really needed (ex. being a meat shield for an ADC) and/or have bought one or two defensive items.

Laning-Roaming

Hello guys here are some of my experiences and things I would like to point out while playing Bard.

Take W as your first skill and leave one shrine for your Mid laner, one for your Jungler, and one for your Top laner. The shrines will give them sustain while laning and will even give you an assist if they manage to kill an enemy.

Also, when you're roaming or when you're collecting shrines, be a nice guy and leave one shrine for your Mid laner and one for your Jungler to take when they get low.

NEVER EVER FORGET to leave a shrine for you ADC before you go roaming.

Basically, just leave shrines for your allies whenever you get the chance to visit their lane.

Team Work

Do your best and communicate with your teammates. Bard is so much more effective when you and your team have good communication. Well basically playing League is improved when you have good communication.

Ask your teammates to buy wards so you always have good vision around the map. This helps especially when you use Magical Journey because you can see if an enemy dares to follow you and that will probably give your team an opportunity to kill him by waiting on the exit of your Magical Journey.

Things to Remember

1. Whenever an enemy enters your Magical Journey entrance, wait for him and use Q for an easy stun.

2. If you're trying to catch up or run away from an enemy, you can cast your W directly to your ally or yourself for that movement speed buff.

3. Saving your Q for the right time rather than wasting it for a slow can really make a difference so use your skills wisely.

4. I recommend using Normal Cast for Bards E so you can see how far the portal you create will be. (maybe I'll post some screenshots later.)

UPDATE

April 1, 2015- After playing with Bard for a few weeks now(both in ranked and normal queue), I found it more effective rushing Locket of the Iron Solari rather than building RoA or Lich bane. It also helps if you get Mikael's Crucible early to remove CC from your allies. I'll be updating the guide after a few more days of testing!
