About Aurelion Sol -

Aurelion Sol The Star-forger is an ancient celestial being. In game, he is a sustained damage medium ranged mage who punishes enemies with his orbiting stars before flying out for distant ganks. Aurelion Sol has good burst and crowd control with his Breath of Light and Falling Star abilities. When those are coupled with his orbiting stars he will do devastating area of affect magical burst and damage per second in crowded teamfights. Aurelion Sol suffers against champions who can close the distance with him. Anyone who has a lot of mobility will make fast work of Aurelion Sol, killing him with little to no retaliation.

's strong utility plus his good base and scaling magic damage, combined with his strong area of effect damage per second and burst allow him to quickly take down both squishies and tanks alike. His crowd control through his ultimate's slow and Q's stun make him a force to be reckoned with once a good player gets out of hand. He does have his fair share of weaknesses though. His early game is relatively weak and he does struggle against high mobility champions.

(Start)
Doran's Ring and two gives you lane sustain. Health allows you to get past laning phase and the extra ability power helps with trading and farming.

(Ahead)
When you're ahead, Sorcerer Shoes will help you with damage and kiting. If you're really fed, Swiftness Boots won't help you as much as Sorcerer Shoes in terms of pure burst damage output. When you're doing well, you rely more on your burst from Q/R instead of your outer ring comets.

(Kiting)
The movespeed you get from Swiftness Boots allow you to remain in range of enemies and catch up to or kite them so that you're constantly dealing damage with your passive or W.
