The rock is gonna deny your (Q) and your AA speed so thats gonna be hard. Try to get a long range knockup with your (Q) and engage on him with an (E) (Q) combo and poke him. if he ults on you try to run aways Stack a (Q) and ult him. Win some time for your Jungler to come or flash away.

You came here to learn something about Yasuo or to improve your skills? I got that. Im gonna try to help as much as i can in this Guide, keep you always on the latest updates if something changes with Yasuo's abilitys (nerf or buff) or if this Build path need to be changed someway. I'll be trying to update the Guide if i find some free time, so you get some more detailed information about counterplay against more Champions or upcoming Champions.
As for the Quints, you could replace two Quints with one Armor Quintessence and one Magic Resist Quinessence for a more resistly Yasuo for the early game.

Yasuo's Critical Strike Chance is doubled. Additionally, Yasuo builds a shield whenever he moves that blocks a amount of damage depending on his Level.
Steel Tempest
A skillshot basic attack. After two successful , the next one will cast a Knockup Wind Skillshot that can be blocked from another Yasuo's
Thrusts forward, dealing 20/40/60/80/100 (+100% Attack Damage) physical damage.On hit, grants a stack of Gathering Storm for 10 seconds. At 2 stacks, fires a whirlwind that knocks Airborne. is treated like a normal AA, it hits Critical so remember to get a 100% Critical Strike Chance!
Wind Wall
Creates a moving wall that blocks all enemy projectiles for 4 seconds. This wall incrases it's size every time you level your up.
Sweeping Blade
Dashes through a unit, dealing 70/90/110/130/150 (+60% Ability Power) Magic Damage with each cast. Each cast increases your next dash's base Damage by 25%, up to 50%. Cannot be re-cast on the same enemy for 10/9/8/7/6 seconds. You can combine with it will make a AoE circle that deals 20/40/60/80/100 (+100% Attack Damage), this circle can hit Critical.
Last Breath
Moves to a unit and strikes them repeatedly for heavy damage 200/300/400 (+150% bonus Attack Damage) and holding all Airborne enemies in the area in the air for an additional 1 second. Grants maximum Flow but resets all stacks of Gathering Storm.For 15 seconds, Yasuo's critical strikes gain 50% Bonus Armor Penetration - this affects Armor from items, buffs, runes and masteries. It Can only be cast on Airborne targets, that means not only you it can be combined with every Knockup from your Team mates.
- Phantom Dancer is a great movement based Item for Yasuo. It gives you a movement boost while moving towards an enemy champion within 500 units of view. Also when you attack and enemy champion you get a 12% damage reduction from him (applies only to one champion at time)
* Also you get a 60% Critical Chance off this Item, Attack Speed and movement Speed
- Berserker's Greaves give you 35% Attack Speed and +45 Movement Speed. I normaly always go Berserker's Greaves as a first Item (sometimes even before Zeal) because it gives you the bonus movement to annoy your enemy laner.
* Berserker's Greaves can be replaced with Boots of Swiftness in my Opinion but therefore you should buy Phantom Dancer and not Statikk Shiv
- Inifinity Edge is Yasuo's core Item. It's like Victors Starting Item you need to buy it, it will make your damage 50% higher and gives you 100% Critical Strike with Statikk Shiv or Phantom Dancer
* Infinity Edge is a need to buy for Yasuo in my opinion.
- The Blood Thirster gives you a passive effect, it "overheals" you and gives you a 50-350 damage (based on champion level) Shield. This shield disappears after 25 seconds out of combat.
* Buy The Bloodthirster if you really have trouble with your HP on lane or you always are in a long timed fight to survive longer and get some life back out of your AA's
- Maw of Malmortious has an Unique passive that saves your life whenever you get into a tricky situation vs your mage mid laner. It gives you a magic shild that absorbds 300 (+1 per bonus magic resist) magic damage. Buy Maw of Malmortious if you have trouble against a mage on your lane or your Team fed someone who does magic damage :).
* Also whenever this Shield activates you get 20 Attack damage and 10% Spell vamp and 10% Life Steal until you leave combat
- Guardian Angel, personally i love this item. It saved my life so many times from risky dives and stupid engages. It revives you upon death and restores 700 Health or 30% maximum health, this effect only triggers every 5 minutes (it needs to load 5 minutes after it has been used).
* Buy Guardian Angel as a late item or if you are hardcore fed and dont want to give the enemy a sweet gold reward for killing you. You could also get it like me to survive engages from enemy hard CC or just if you like playing very risky.
Useful spells to take with Yasuo
It's one of the most used Spell's in League of Legends so it works every time on every champion and it is also good for engaging/escaping into/off a fight.
Ignite is also an popular Spell for mid laners, use it if you dont need the Barrier for some Defense in the early game, or for a first blood hehe ^^
Barrier can save your life, when you dive, you engage against a fed mage or adc, you get bursted in a fight or you simply just want a bubble surrounding you
Spells you could find a use for
This spell is perfect for someone who needs movement to get onto you or deal damage over a longer duration of a time. Use it on him and don't let him escape/engage
Cleansense is good against champions with hard or long duration CC like leona or for really busy teamfights
So, let's get back to the Yasuo basics. Yasuo is an Fighter, Secondary an Assasin. That means you basicly fight more than burst your enemy with a skill combo (well only in early game you dont one **** the enemy with an combo). So... let's take a look at Yasuo's early game, Doran's Blade is a great first item for Yasuo but it doesnt really have the Stuff you need right? I mean come on who really need's that Attack Damage and Life Steal when you could just buy an early Critical Strike item like right? It wouldn't even be a bad decision, but before you do Stuff like this you need to know against who you play, or better, how you play Yasuo. If you really buy as a Starter item you have chose your as first ability, why? is something like an Empowered AA that stacks after 2 Successfull hits into a powerfull Stun attack. Now enought of that nonsense. You want to learn how to use some strong Yasuo combo's right? Let's get into it!
With Doran's Blade and a Health pot you start your journey to mid lane, on the lane you try to play it cool, maybe be a little bit agressive so you get an early advantage against your enemy mid laner. Try to get as much farm as you can, try to farm with your . Use twice to get a stack and scare off your enemy with a Knockup (If you successfully hit it of course). After you reached level 2 you should choose your ability and start using it to move around your lane and mess up your enemies mind, by dashing around the lane. Combine with to clear a larger amount of minions and reach level 3. Keep in mind that your
blocks every aviable skill shot in League of Legends- But wait MaploX! Why can't it block ultimate or Ultimate? Hm i don't really know ask riot about that. If you play against a Skillshot based Champion like try to place your in the middle in the lane to use it as a backoff shield after you do something risky. Alright, you know my newbie basics how to lane. If you hit level 6 you get your sweet and balanced ability called . There are many ways to use this ability and im gonna list now the following combos i know are good:
So the most simple and most used combo is a double on one, or more minions so you get a knockup ready to hit your enemy with , after the stun of ends, press directly an on the enemy so you get the full damage burst of it.
Now the second combo with you can stack a knock up on minions again and + to a minion standing near the enemy when he is in Air try to hit and AA or an on him and instantly use on him.
The third combo would be an + then again an + to a near minion standing to the enemy, back it off with a trought the enemy from behind or to a enemy minion to get in range to throw you knock up and ult OR go back with and use your knockup on the enemy, instantly AA the enemy or use your and press , after ends, try to hit an AA on the enemy OR an .

Im working on more Laning tipps, i need to think about ways to teach it to you, i tought of making some Youtube tutorials for the Yasuo basics but i am not really sure about that tho...
In my opinion he is one of the important Team Members, Yasuo can be used for a first engage or an final Teamfight end. His Knockup abilitys and CC from his allows him to clear an entire Team out of the way. I use Yasuo in a Teamfight as an AoE fighter in to get off some enemys or kill the enemy bot lane.
How to
In a Teamfight you try to make some AoE damage, that means to hit the enemy with a Knockup and on them. Try to play around with your + and deal some more AoE damage. If you never survive it after your try to engage after your Team mates gone in the Fight and gets some on the enemies or some AA's.
