Hi there! I'm Kocykek and welcome to my Blitzcrank Jungle Guide. You will find here a tutorial on how to play Blitzcrank in Jungle with best items, runes and summoner spells out there.

About me, I'm a Polish player that want to try unique things. Lately I also hit Challenger and stayed in it for some time. And about it... When I had to win a game to stay in Challenger guess who I picked?

If you will have any questions about my guide, feel free to leave a comment. Anyway let's get into the guide!
It may seem ridiculous and you're right about it!

🞭 Starting off, Blitzcrank is a great pick to confuse enemies. They most likely won't know what's happening in your team and where anyone goes.

🞭 He's a fun to play champion. I guarantee you will have fun in League of Legends in 2023. And that's a fact. Playing Blitzcrank in jungle helped me go through my tiltness - I was on losing streak and stuck in Diamond II - and eventually hit me Master, Grandmaster, Challenger... All because I had lots of fun.

🞭 As the game goes on, Blitzcrank is stronger with time. His scaling is great and you won't feel useless in Mid and Late Game.

🞭 And of course the biggest plus is Rocket Grab. Single handedly - "Literally" - can make game changing play. Hooking anyone is always a huge advantage.

🞭 The thing that is annoying all the time is Overdrive. I mean it's fine, you have Attack Speed and Movement Speed in this ability and that's very good. But the end of ability self-slows Blitzcrank and it's irritating. You can chase someone but you can't catch him because you're slowed. You want to escape from enemies but you can't. YOU'RE SLOWED.

🞭 Blitzcrank isn't really a early game monster. You can have some problems whether it's dueling enemies or ganking early on. Low damage, kinda long cooldowns and no mobility speak for themselves.

🞭 By picking Blitzcrank you also can get flamed by your teammates because they think you will be trolling. And that often results in losses...

Mana Barrier

Innate: Periodically, when damaged to 30% maximum health, Blitzcrank generates a shield equal to 15% − 45% (based on level) of maximum mana, lasting up to 10 seconds.

Additional info:
Cooldown: 90

Rocket Grab

Blitzcrank fires their right hand in the target direction that catches the first enemy hit, dealing them magic damage, stunning them for 0.65 seconds, and pulling them towards Blitzcrank, during which they are revealed.

Additional info:
Cost: 100 Mana
Cooldown: 20 / 19 / 18 / 17 / 16
Cast Time: 0.25
Range: 1115 / 1020
Width: 140
Speed: 1800 / 1800
Magic Damage: 105 / 150 / 195 / 240 / 285 (+ 120% AP)

Overdrive

Blitzcrank shifts into overdrive, gaining bonus attack speed for 5 seconds and bonus movement speed that decays to 10% over the first 2.9 seconds. While active, their basic attacks deal bonus magic damage on-hit equal to 1% of the target's maximum health, increased by 60 − 220 (based on level) against non-champions.

When Overdrive ends, Blitzcrank is slowed by 30% for 1.5 seconds.

Additional info:
Cost: 85 Mana
Cooldown: 15
Cast Time: none
Bonus Attack Speed: 30 / 43 / 56 / 69 / 82%
Bonus Movement Speed: 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90%

Power Fist

Blitzcrank empowers their next basic attack within 5 seconds to have an uncancellable windup, deal 75% AD (+ 25% AP) bonus physical damage, increased to 250% AD (+ 150% AP) against non-champions, and knock up the target for 1 second. This damage is affected by critical strike modifiers.

Power Fist resets Blitzcrank's basic attack timer.

Additional info:
Cost: 40 Mana
Cooldown: 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 / 5
Cast Time: none

Static Field

Passive: While Static Field is not on cooldown, Blitzcrank's basic attacks apply a stack to the target on-hit. After every 1 second, one stack is consumed to deal them magic damage.

Active: Blitzcrank detonates a static field, completely destroying damage-mitigating shields of nearby enemies before dealing them magic damage and silencing them for 0.5 seconds.

Additional info:
Passive Magic Damage: 50 / 100 / 150 (+ 30 / 40 / 50% AP)

Cooldiwn: 60 / 40 / 20
Cast Time: 0.25
Effect Radius: 600

Default rune set for Blitzcrank in jungle. Lethal Tempo is the best keystone as the build is based on autoattacks. Because of it this is the best keystone possible for Blitzcrank with the most damage output potential. Combos allow Blitzcrank to stack Lethal Tempo really fast and it excels in duels. Triumph grants health on takedowns and can be crucial in fights. Legend: Alacrity grants Attack Speed and will result in higher damage output. Last Stand grants more damage when on low health. Most likely you will use it when bursted a bit. Celerity will make Blitzcrank move faster anytime. Waterwalking grants bonus damage and movement speed in river. Attack Speed for attack speed. Adaptive Force for damage. Flat Health for more health. This runeset is better for early game.

Alternative rune set for Blitzcrank in jungle. Lethal Tempo is the best keystone as build is based on autoattacks. Magical Footwear will grant boots with higher movement speed than normal Boots. Cosmic Insight will make your summoner spells lower cooldown. Attack Speed for attack speed. Adaptive Force for damage. Flat Health for more health. This rune set is better for scaling.
Smite is a must-have summoner spell for jungler. Without it you can't really jungle no?

Flash is a classic spell that allows your champion to blink/teleport a short distance. With it you can do many things like making combos and escaping.

Ghost is an alternative spell. It's better than Flash when enemies don't have any dashes, mobility things. Then Ghost helps you to stick to enemies easily.
Blue pet that grants you movement speed after taking the camp or entering the brush. It's very effective because as Blitzcrank bonus movement speed can be crucial in catching enemies.

Green pet that grants you permament shield and also Tenacity and Slow Resist while the shield is present. An alternative and maybe a safer choice.

You have to have health to gank and clear camps early on.

Always a must. Use it early on to prevent invades or track enemy jungler.

It's fine to grab this if you used Stealth Ward already.

Probably the best item to buy early on. These boots grant you mobility and attack speed. The second thing helps you a lot since you have more damage output. Camps are cleared faster too with Overdrive on-hit damage.

Great item as well to buy early on. Attack speed and on-hit physical damage helps a lot like Berserker's Greaves. You should buy it first when you took Inspiration]/color] runeset.

Good item that helps you even more with clear. Problem is that you're stucked to crit mythics but that's not as bad as you think.

Additional vision to track enemies...

Best core items for Blitzcrank in jungle. First of all, these items grant you attack speed to attack even faster. With Overdrive, Lethal Tempo and Legend: Alacrity you're autoattacking so fast. And this the moment where Blade of the Ruined King shows up. Autoattacking but with max current health damage as well. And on top of that let's add Wit's End. Additional AD and even bonus Magic Damage added to autoattacks. Both swords grants movement speed - on consuming stack and on autoattacks - so you're mobile in fights too. With these items I'm pretty sure you can shred any champion.

Radiant Virtue is the mythic you probably can buy all the time. It has great Health and Resists to give you as well as Ability Haste but the most important part about it is its passive. If Static Field will be casted then you will be granted with more Health and you will be also healing allies based on your Health. Best for team utility.

Iceborn Gauntlet is second best mythic in my opinion. It's great against heavy AD teamcomps. It also has a Sheen passive that slows. You can combine it with Power Fist. Great for slowing enemies yes? Well I didn't even go to the last part. The best thing about it is probably the Mythic Passive - slow resistance. You can be faster when self-slowed by Overdrive!

Evenshroud is the cheapest mythic option. It has a bit weaker stats than Radiant Virtue. When you will CC someone they will be taking more damage. Same when you will be CC'd by them.

Trinity Force is a great mythic. It has balanced stats and provides great damage and mobility in fights. "Balance" between everything.

Galeforce is last option for Blitzcrank as a mythic. It can be crazy good if versing squishy comp. Easy gap closes and tons of damage.

Zhonya's Hourglass gives you armor, ability power, ablility haste and a great active that you can use in many situations - mostly defending yourself. Ability power boosts your abilities too so Zhonya isn't that defensive as you think.

Banshee's Veil is a great item to not get yourself CC'd by one ability. You can grab this to avoid any ability or gain additional Magic Resists if Wit's End is not enough. Or maybe both!

Dead Man's Plate grants you armor, health and most importantly additional movement speed to help you catch enemies. Also has damage in it so you can have better burst.

Cosmic Drive will give you permament movement speed and ability power if you stick to enemies in teamfight. Additional mobility and damage is always great! Also grants you 30 ability haste - that's probably more than most of the items here combined...

You can grab Gargoyle Stoneplate if you are getting burst down or want to get tougher in teamfights. I mean it gives you tons of resists and big shield. Whatever the situation is Gargoyle Stoneplate will help you anytime.
As a Blitzcrank your main damage output is autoattacking. By activating Overdrive you gain movement speed and attack speed. So you can either gap close enemy and start autoattacking or you can gap close enough to Rocket Grab the enemy. Either way you're attacking the enemy with autos. There you can reset your autoattack with Power Fist. Because of it you can stack Lethal Tempo really fast and with items you can deal amazing damage. If the enemy wants to run away you can use your Rocket Grab, if you have it, to catch him. Don't forget about your Mana Barrier too. It gives you a shield. Maybe not a big one but always something.

After Level 6, you first autoattack the enemy and then ult him. You make a use of your Static Field passive. Stacks are great source of damage as well and they can deal good damage too. You use Static Field at the end to execute the enemy - most damage potential. You can also use it to destroy any shields. Remember that Static Field also silences so any cast abilites will be canceled by it. You can also Flash + Static Field.

To be honest Level 3 pathing is the best option probably. You lose too much while full clearing and you can also be invaded early on. Ganking on Level 3 is the best option because of that - granting teammate an advantage.
Clearing with Blitzcrank is satisfying. By using Overdrive your attacks deal more damage to camps and they don't really seem that tough to clear. Your Power Fist also deals bonus damage to monsters. By using Overdrive and resetting autoattacks timer with Power Fist you can easily clear camps. You just autoattack and camps are gone - faster with time the more items you get!

These are the only options for wards in first and second minute of the game.

All of them are for gathering information.

Ganking is important part of junglers so how does Blitzcrank gank?

Well Blitzcrank can gank two ways: By hooking enemy or not.

From bushes or river Blitzcrank can gap close enemy and autoattack them to death. On ganks try to autoattack first and then reset it with Power Fist. Then if enemy will want to Flash or dash in some direction you can Rocket Grab him. This way enemy is longer in fight. Just think. If you Rocket Grab first and then he uses Flash, you don't have a hook and he escaped. There isn't such situation if you gap close the enemy first. You can also just Flash into enemy, Power Fist them, one shot them, do everything.

Now this is very satisfying and at the same annoying way to gank. By Rocket Grab.

Not only you come out of river, bush and grab enemy, you can also make combos with it. You can Smite the minion to grab the enemy who was staying behind it. Just like Lee Sin. You Power Fist the grabbed enemy to CC them longer and the rest is up to you...

And well if you miss... then it's irritating.

As a jungler, you should focus on objectives whether it's Dragon or Herald.
Blitzcrank has great damage with Overdrive to objectives.

Taking objectives can be both easy and hard.

It can be easy if jungler is on the other side of the map. For example the enemy jungler is on Top Lane so you can take dragon for free.
You can also gank botlane earlier to let them have prio so they can come and help you take dragon. I'm sure they want additional buffs as well. Same goes for Top Lane. Ganking and gaining prio is important to take Herald too. Additional Gold and map terrarin is advantage.

There can also be situations when enemy jungler can be taking dragon. So if possible try to make a play that will deny him taking it.

Remember, look at the map and try to do the right thing with objectives. You can compare it to chess. A move that will grant your team huge advantage = Brilliant Move.

Catching someone is always a step forward to taking objectives.

Teamfighting is a part of the game when multiple people from both teams are fighting at once. This will be common in mid to late game. Maybe even early game if something crazy happens.

In teamfights as Blitzcrank try to focus carry or nearest opponent. Focusing carry often results in won fights. The best damage dealer on enemy team dead means you can kill the rest easily.

You can also focus nearest enemy. I guess they won't be a problem as much as carry but killing frontline leaves backline without tanks or protection. That's also fine.

Try to utilize your abilities the best way possible. Rocket Grab someone, Static Field everyone, remove shields also by ultimate, shred one target at once, there are many things you can do. If you CC someone your teammates will definitely follow you.

To be honest I have to say that every matchup is even. I was trying to see what matchups are good, bad, the best, the worst for Blitzcrank but it turns out it depends on your perfomance.

That said every champion in enemy jungle is even for Blitzcrank.

You can defeat him, he can defeat you. It all comes down to the perfomance. Whether it's meta champions or rare one you're both even. There isn't really any favor matchup. I guess Blitzcrank is created the balanced way. If against tank champions you can shred them and easily kill them but they can CC you for years and kill you as well. Bruisers can engage onto you first and kill you but you can engage earlier and kill them faster. So with how the game with Blitzcrank in jungle looks there isn't denying by me. Blitzcrank has even matchups and that's why I put every jungler in even section.
Orianna has great damage, utility - slow, speed, shield - as a midlaner. She literally works perfectly for Blitzcrank.

Thresh has great annoying for enemy CC and a lantern. He's always good to have in team.

Nautilus CCs for too long. That's good cause you don't need mobility as he can hold the target for you.

Seraphine as great damage and utility - heal, shield, slows, roots, stuns... - and ultimate that can be used on you to charm multiple enemies.

You can fed Katarina easily even if you hit only Power Fist. Somehow that works...

Zilean grants you tons of movement speed and even can place bomb on you. Not to mention he can also revive you.

With Olaf slows from axe you can easily kill enemy on his lane.

With Renekton point and click CC you can easily gank his lane.

Veigar's cage can be used to easily catch any enemy.
Thank you for reading my guide! It was fun creating it.
