Intro to the Squishy Yordle
Yo! Welcome to my Teemo guide. When I first started playing League of Legends, I was introduced to Riven, and played her solo top for the longest time. I would always get matched up with this furry little monster. He would aggravate me to no end, and I would constantly rage on him; "I hate this little rat!!". My friends and I would constantly berate Teemo players and get angry about how stupid and OP he was. I'm not really sure what made me do it, but I decided to buy Teemo. When I bought him, I had the idea in my head that I bought him to just mess with my friends, so I played ADC Teemo. Needless to say, it isn't the best thing, but I didn't do too badly. As I got to know the champ, I began to start playing him properly. Top or mid lane, AP, not AD. It wasn't too long until he became my absolute FAVOURITE champion. This little guy is awesome. I perfected my play as him, and, in my view now, I'm so confident that if I'm playing Teemo top, I'm not even afraid to take on a Yorick.
Anyway, on to the build!
Pros and Cons
-Teemo is extremely quick.
-His mushrooms can act as wards.
-Easy to farm.
-Focused in teamfights.
-Oracles or pink wards screws him over.
-Crowd control counters him.
If Teemo stands still and takes no actions for 2 seconds, he becomes stealthed indefinitely. After leaving stealth, Teemo gains the Element of Surprise, increasing his attack speed by 40% for 2 seconds.
Teemo's basic attacks poison their target, dealing 10/20/30/40/50 (+0.3 AP) magical damage upon impact and 6/12/18/24/30 (+0.10 AP) magical damage each second for 4 seconds.
When playing Teemo, your strongest ability is your Toxic Shot. Due to the scaling on the impac damage, and the scaling on the poison damage over time, it makes Teemo hit VERY hard when he has a lot of AP. Your second most vital ability is Move Quick. It's passive speed boost will allow you to get in and out of fights, and escape ganks with ease, as well as the 3 second activation, which doubles your movement speed, to escape from crowd control. Although it's not as vital as your other two regular skills, your Blinding Dart still comes in handy, especially against melee champions. Although you can't use it too much against casters, like Ezreal or Lux, it can be used to your advantage against most other champions.
Runes and Masteries
Let's talk about Teemo's masteries.
+1/2/3/4% Cooldown Reduction
Sorcery works well with Teemo by giving him cooldown reduction. It makes him be able to pop his Blinding Dart more often in order to protect himself from damage, or deal it, and use Move Quick in short succession while running away, or into a fight.
+0.25/0.5/0.75/1 Ability Power per level (18 Ability Power at champion level 18).
Blast gives Teemo an extra boost of AP late game, and the initial AP amount he needs early game to survive and get kills, by making his Toxic Shot hit fairly good early damage.
Increases damage dealt by 0.67/1.33/2%
Havoc gives Teemos early game and late game damage a big boost.
+8% Magic Penetration
Again, just an added damage boost, especially to Toxic Shot early game.
3/4/6 Ability Power
Added AP bonus for Teemo. Helps a lot early game.
Deals 5% of your Ability Power in magic damage to the target on each basic attack
Increases Ability Power by 1.25/2.5/3.75/5%
Increases damage dealt by 5% to targets below 50% Health
Makes those last minute darts you get in while an enemy is running away, really count.
+1.5/3/4.5/6 Health per level (+108 Health at champion level 18)
This mastery really helps Teemo out since he's so squishy, and gives him boosted survivability.
Hardiness gives Teemo, again, better survivability. Since most top lane champs are AD, melee champs, it comes in handy, even early game.
+2/3.5/5 Magic Resist
This mastery gives Teemo a slight amount of MR. It's not a lot though, since again, most top lane champs are AD.
Added HP boost for the squishy yordle.
As you can see, most of Teemo's runes are AP boosts, attack/movement speed boosts, and health or armor boosts. Teemo is a very squishy champ, but he drops insane damage in mid/late game, especially with my build.

Purchasing and equipping x9 will boost Teemo's AP significantly.
Teemo will gain an added +11 Ability Power due to these runes.
Purchasing and equipping x9 will boost Teemo's AS significantly.
Teemo will gain an added +15% Attack Speed due to these runes.
Purchasing and equipping x9 will boost Teemo's armor significantly.
Teemo will gain an added +13 Armor due to these runes.
Purchasing and equipping x3 will boost Teemo's movement speed significantly.
Teemo will gain an added +4.5% Movement Speed due to these runes.
