My LoL name is stinkl3 I was Silver 2 in S3 and I dont play ranked anymore so Im in Bronze 5 for S4 but like I said, no more ranked for me. (Im sure you could guess why) *cough*trolls*cough*.

This is my third guide. I have a blitz and olaf guide I did a while back for fun. This guide is for fun also but since the champ is new I hope I could help out and make a new guide for him. This wont be SUPER in depth about items and play styles. Every game is different and every player is different.

With that said this guide will show the basic items and runes and masteries that I find great on Azir.
It will also include some basic tips and understandings of how to play him.

Pros!

Does lots of AP damage.
LOTS of CDR and AS when built right. (Spam Abilities)
Can Juke others when mastered.
Does not need flash to escape.
Can rebuild a turret!
Amazing ULT!

Cons :(

Needs farm and gold very fast to keep up early game
Not bursty like some AP champs.
Need lots of mana or regen to spam.
Hard to learn correctly.
Small item set to pick from to work well.

Farm. Farm. Farm. Try as best as you can to farm as much gold while poking your opponent. Use wards. Be safe. Do Damage. Just get as much gold as you can for the first 12-20 min.

I was thinking how to make this guide and I think all I want to do is explain how he works. Anyone can find an item or spell guide and they all end up being the same.
I just want to explain a couple things and some things to think about that will help you play him.

Imagine Zed and Hiemy and Jarvan and Braum Combined.

Your Q is Zeds "shadow strike thing"
Your W is Hiemys "place a turret"
Your E is Jarvans "pole dash"
And your R is Braums "get behind me shield"

ok?

If you can play and use abilities with that in mind it will really help understand what you're doing and how your abilities work.

Here is an example.

You place a sand soldier (W)
You (Q) to have the soldier dash go attack a champ or minion.
Then you (E) to dash azir to the sand soldier.
Then you (R) to push back and create a barrier champs cant go through.

Make sense?
In relation to those other champs I listed?
If you have that mind set it is much easier to understand what your doing and what you can do and how you can move.

Another example.

(W) a soldier down over a wall. Press (E) and youll dash to it.
Exactly like Jarvans little pole dash combo. Except the soldier is the flag and you are the lance.

Placing down a soldier is like a Hiemy turret because it has a little ring around it and will attack people in its ring as long as you click the enemy within the ring.

The (Q) attack is like zeds shadow dash thing. Once you place a soldier with (W) you can use (Q) to send the soldier to a skill shot location (a blue line you drag and click).
This is how you can move the soldier around for the 9 seconds he is down.

One more example.

You place a soldier down and start attacking a champ. As the run away, you (Q) the soldier way up in front of them. Then you press (E) to dash right to them. Then you (R) and push back the enemy back into your team.

There is alot you can do but if you understand the basics of his abilities you can see how easy he really is to play.
Just dont get to crazy and be dashing and running around. You will run out of mana fast and if your (E) is down you can dash away since we wont be using flash.

Yes. No flash. Ever with azir.
We have one built in with (W) followed by an (E)

Anyways. I want to get this guide out there just for those basic tips. I will be adding more over time. But I hope this helps a bit.
