Introduction
I got placed in Plat 2 at the time of this guide and play too much Sion. Trust me, I'm good at this guy.
Nobody cares about that s***. Let's talk about Sion. He's got a lot of early damage, he's a god in teamfights and forces cc or flashes in any skirmish. If you facecheck this guy, you're going to die. Unless the Sion is terrible of course, but that would mean he hasn't seen this amazing guide. His build path is versatile and is a very solid offtank and fulltank.
This is the best part imo. Sion can build anything. Only thing mandatory is cancerously op cinderhulk. Abuse at all costs. Merc Treads also quite important since tank jungle item lacks tenacity now.

+ Utility (CC and Health) Scales Very Well Even If Behind.
+ Strong in 2v2s due to passive.
+ One of the best initiators in the game.
+ Can also counter engage and peel excellently, fits in every comp imaginable.
+ Requires patience and map awareness to succeed, this means where wards are, where the enemy is / likely to be / likely to gank and the mindset should always be to be where the action is, you have a lot of AoE and damage early, making impossible odds completely possible if you use your AoE to maximum efficiency.
- Slow, Telegraphed attacks. People with very high mobility will take a dump on you and make you feel silly at some point.
- Damage falls off a bit later on.
- Literally nothing else.

Very important, but you have to understand that you need to be the initiator, so when fights are gonna break out you can't be farming bot. Farming get's Sion more health, which makes you better late game as a tank. You want to get as much as you can, but don't put laners behind and don't jeopardise your team by being off somewhere else.
Sion is actually pretty sick in lane. His harass means he can acquire creeps and harass enemies at the same time. By the time you've zoned off your laner, you can start throwing his own minions in his face from afar. WHEN LANING FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAX E BECAUSE THE DAMAGE IS BLOODY MAD. You can afford to get an extra damage item as top lane Sion in place of the jungle upgrades.
