Introduction
AD fizz started off as a bit of a troll build for me in ARAM but it has slowly evolved into quite a decent top lane build. Fizz's skill set helps him duel really well in top lane, he has a gap closer, heal reduction (sooo goood), execution style damage over time, an excellent disengage with his playful trickster and an all too underestimated passive that helps him trade in lane.
30 to 40 percent of the damage you deal will be magic damage so it's really difficult to itemize against.
Just some recent games as Fizz
Passive: Nimble Fighter
This passive is what makes you such a pain in the *** in lane. You take reduced auto-attack damage, this applies to minions as well so you'll receive significantly less damage from minion aggro than your opponent. Use this to your advantage,
Q: Urchin Strike
This is your gap closer/maker, use it to catch up to people or run away from them, you're going to dash a fixed distance of 550 so positioning yourself properly will pay off big time. It also resets your auto attack animation and applies sheen procs, take advantage of this to deal more damage in a duel.
W: Seastone Trident
This is your main source of damage, its passive will deal damage over time on your autoattacks according to a percentage of the opponents missing health.
When you activate it you'll do a little magic damage on hit and apply heal reduction and that heal reduction makes brawling a fizz a huge pain in the ***.
E: Playful Trickster
Use the troll pole to dodge skill shots, zed ults, karthus ults, what have you. This ability's what makes fizz such a safe duelist, it's an amazing disengage that leaves you untargetable for its duration. So if you ever find yourself in an unfavorable fight, troll pole away and fight another day.
It's extremely versatile so master it and use it wisely, use it to catch up to people, hop over walls, and pick your fights.
It has a fairly long cooldown so beware, while it's down you're quite vulnerable.
Note: since you're not going AP, this will not be doing any damage.
R: Chum The Waters
Since you won't be doing much damage with this ability use it to engage or disengage a fight, it has an aoe slow and knock up so use it to prevent an enemy from running away or catching up to you.

Dorans Blade
Super cost effective, I recommend getting two, with two you get 160 health, 16 AD, and 10 hp per hit. Two Dorans costs 880, compare this to a vamp sceptre which is 800, which will only offer 10 AD and %10 lifesteal (early game %10 lifesteal gives about 10hp or less per hit). So you get 6 more AD, and 160 Health for 80 gold more and it's totally worth it. That 160 health will soak up an ignite or two to three auto attacks from an enemy champion. You want it.
Blade of the Ruined King
Percent health damage, lifesteal, attack speed and a wonderful active. It's everything you want on AD Fizz.
Trinity Force
Tons of Damage, will elaborate later
Frozen Heart or Randuins Omen?
Frozen Heart 2600g
100 armor
20% CDR
400 mana
Attack speed debuff aura
Randuins Omen 3000g
70 armor
500 health
passive as and ms debuff
I really like frozen heart, it has an easier build path, it's 400g cheaper and you get %20 CDR
that %20 CDR with your runes and masteries will leave you with a 4.2 second cooldown on your Q as well as a 5.6 second cooldown on playful trickster
The aura means people don't need to attack you to get an AS debuff
The health you get from triforce and the dorans should have bulked you up nicely so don't worry about not having enough health. Use the extra money you have to buy a ruby crystal to start building your banshees.
Banshee's Veil
The spell shield will save you from CC that could lock you down in teamfights, it's so much better than spirit visage so don't even bother with it.
Situational items:
Wit's end
Sure it sounds like it should work well with fizz but it's quite subpar compared to bork and Tri. You'll be dealing 42 extra magic damage on hit, but realize you're doing roughly 600 mixed damage total mid game with your W Q combo, 42 damage on hit is not really worth the item slot and gold at this point.
WHY YOU NO ARMOR PEN?!?!?!
Remember, you're not a straight AD assassin like Riven, you're a health shredding bruiser, you'll find at your end game screen that %30 to %40 percent of the damage you deal to champions is magic. So buying armor pen would only benefit a fraction of the damage you deal. You can also easily neutralize the enemy's squishies without any more damage items.
I'll try to add pictures as I put this guide together
Urchin Strike Mechanics:
Have a minion stand behind you while you duel someone, attack them and when they try to retaliate, Q into that minion to create some distance. At all times try to plan out an escape route using your Q.
If there are no minions nearby, position yourself behind your opponent, this way you can Q into him to dash away.

Playful Trickster Mechanics:
Early Game
Use every opportunity you have to poke your opponent, your early levels are where you really shine.
Mid Game
You should have completed your BoRK by now and parts of your triforce, look for opportunities to roam and take objectives.
Late Game
Fizz gets all the damage he needs from his BoRK and triforce, these two are sufficient to burst high value targets, as tempting as it may be to buy more damage, you'll be so much better off investing in items that will enable you to survive long enough to get off another combo and lifesteal.
Your role in teamfights is to act as an assassin and back line disrupter once you've got some survivability. Q in, try to bait as many skillshots as you can with your Playful Trickster, and get out to safety or drop your massive balls on the enemy's damage. Using your ult you can wreak havoc in the backlines, it forces the enemy team to separate making it easier for you to pick on their squishies.
