I. Introduction

Vladimir - The Crimson Caster

"That which runs through you will run you through." - Vladimir

Hello and welcome to my guide for Vladimir, the Crimson Reaper. I am relatively new to MOBAFire and this is my second build so all constructive feedback is appreciated. Also if you disagree with something please leave a comment before rating. :) Also, If you are going to -1 then if you could leave a comment as to why you are doing it, it would be appreciated. The whole reason behind this guide was to be as helpful as possible so please help me achieve that goal.

It seems that MOBAFire is not showing statistics properly. Vladimir should end up with well over 700 Ability power and 4,000 Health.

Now, to Vladimir, the Crimson Caster. Vladimir is a unique caster as he does not have mana and uses health to cast his various spells. Vladimir has great survivability with the use of Sanguine Pool. Sanguine Pool is possibly the best escape mechanism in the game and I will try to give a detailed explanation on when you should use it, how you should use it and why you should use it. In this guide I will try my best to explain how to effectively use Vladimir, the Crimson Reaper.

II. Lore

There is a temple hidden in the mountains between Noxus and the Tempest Flats, where the secrets of an ancient and terrifying sorcery are kept. The area surrounding the temple is littered with the exsanguinated corpses of those who have mistakenly wandered too close. These served only to pique the curiosity of Vladimir, when - in his youth - he trekked through these mountains during his flight from Noxus. A day earlier, the teenaged Vladimir had brutally murdered two boys his age, for no better reason than to enjoy the intoxicating scarlet bloom that surged forth. He realized immediately that he would never be able to suppress his murderous desires, and if he remained in Noxus, his foul deeds were sure to catch up with him. Without hesitation, he abandoned the city-state, and journeyed south.

The trail of bodies led him to a crumbling stone temple. Inside he found an aging monk who appraised him with eyes of pure crimson. Vladimir surprised the monk by returning the wicked gaze with zeal. Recognizing the boy's sinister craving, the monk taught Vladimir how to manipulate and control the fluid of life, often practicing on passing travelers. When it came time for Vladimir to learn the final lesson, the monk warned that failure would result in death. Vladimir did not fail, but success bore a grisly surprise. During the ritual, every drop of the monk's blood was drawn from his body and fused with Vladimir's, imbuing him with his master's magical essence, and that of every hemomancer before him. Left alone and suddenly without purpose, Vladimir resolved to return to Noxus, demanding enrollment in the League to prove the supremacy of his craft. When the Noxian High Command observed the gruesome fates which befell the palace guards, they elected to avail themselves of Vladimir's unsavory talents.

IV. Summoner Spells

For my summoner spells while using Vladimir I take Ghost and Ignite for the following reasons. Ghost can be used before going into your Sanguine Pool to make you both untargetable AND a very fast moving pool of blood. Sometimes Ghost will also help you chase a champion to finish them off. As for Ignite, the reason why I take it is to help secure kills early in the game. Ignite can also be used in conjunction with Hemoplague to deal devastating damage to enemies who may already be out of your range. Overall Ignite is a great spell as it suits Vladimir's offensive nature.

Some other choices of Summoner Spells could be:

Clairvoyance is a good spell as it gives your team map awareness and it can be used to scout for incoming ganks and can provide information about enemy junglers. It is a great spell that gives you a lot every minute.

Exhaust is not a spell that I would take with me but I have seen many Vladimir players take it. When I asked them what the reasoning behind this was I was usually told "It is for survivability, it provides protection against DPS champions and can give you the edge." Personally I do not like Exhaust and I have never had problems annihilating enemy DPS. If you like Exhaust you can take it if you really feel that it will help.

Fortify is a spell that benefits the whole team. I have played against many teams who have had a player with fortify and I know how useful this spell is. If used correctly you can save your turrets even if you are alone after a team fight. I prefer to leave it to the tanks because I would rather have ignite. (Random Reader: "But Vladimir is a tank!"... *Silence* ... Vladimir Players: "Get out... Now... Vladimir is PRIMARILY, and I cannot stress this enough, a CASTER. He can be played as a tank but that is not advisable as he does not have much Crowd Control and he lacks Armor and Magic Resistance. Vladimir is a Caster, and that's that.")

Flash is a great way to get away, much like Sanguine Pool. I do not actually like to take Flash into a fame as Vladimir, simply because it is not as useful as the Ghost + Sanguine Pool combination. Also a good Summoner Spell though and can be taken if it is needed.

Cleanse is another "Get out of jail *FREE*" card. You can have the entire enemy team fire disables at you and then watch you use Cleanse and Sanguine Pool to get away. Definitely a great spell but if their team does not have Crowd Control it may be a wasted Summoner Spell slot. I sometimes use Cleanse and I find it an amazing spell to have.

V. Abilities

Crimson Pact (Passive)

Every 25 points of bonus health gives Vladimir 1 ability power and every 1 point of ability power gives Vladimir 1.8 bonus health (does not stack with itself).

This is a great passive, although the Health to Ability Power exchange rate is not too great, the Ability Power to Health conversion is a very nice bonus. Since this Passive has poor Health scaling Vladimir should be built as an Ability power Nuker. this passive allows Vladimir to be EXTREMELY beefy and have a lot of killing power. While specifically noted that Crimson Pact will not stack with itself, any Ability Power gained through Crimson Pact will be affected by Rabadon's Deathcap. The ability power added in this way will be converted into Health through Crimson Pact.

Personally, I like this passive. It will be a huge source of Health (Over 1,300 Health with a finished build) and the extra ability power you are bound to get will be nice too. :)

Cost: N/A.
Cooldown: N/A.

Transfusion

Vladimir drains life from his target.Vladimir drains the lifeforce of his target, dealing 70/115/160/205/250 (+0.6) magic damage and healing himself for a quarter of the damage dealt.

This is your main harassment and last hitting tool. This skill becomes EXTREMELY spamable when leveled up and should be leveled up whenever possible. This skill is Vladimir's primary source of damage early in the game and is a great healing tool. By late game you should be able to hit 500 - 900 with this ability, this is absolutely devastating considering the short cooldown (3 seconds base cooldown at level 5). This skill should be used whenever it is up. It works wonders when used in conjunction with Tides of Blood. This is also a very good tool to use to secure kills.

Cost: None.
Cooldown: 12 / 10 / 8 / 6 / 3 seconds.
Magic Damage: 70 / 115 / 160 / 205 / 250 (+0.6 per ability power).
Range: 600.

Sanguine Pool

Vladimir sinks into a pool of blood becoming untargetable for 2 seconds. Additionally, enemies on the pool are slowed by 50% and Vladimir siphons life from them.

Vladmir deals 80/135/190/245/300 (+ (15% of bonus Health)) magic damage over the duration and heals himself for 12.5% of that amount.

As I have already mentioned, Sanguine Pool is Vladimir's "Get out of jail *FREE*" card. Sanguine Pool allows Vladimir to turret dive and escape ganks effectively. When used in conjunction with Ghost it will ensure a very easy escape. It can also be used to slow the enemy while your other spells are on cooldown. The beauty about this spell is that you can use it to evade many harmful projectiles like stuns and slows. Beware though, Sanguine Pool cannot help you get away from environmental stuns like Veigar's.

An excellent spell. Part of the reason for why Vladimir used to be considered overpowered. I level this after Transfusion.

Cost: 20% of current Health.
Cooldown: 26 / 23 / 20 / 17 / 14 seconds.
Magic Damage: 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 300 (+15% of bonus Health).

Tides of Blood

Vladimir unleashes a torrent of blood, damaging surrounding enemies. Additionally, multiple Tides of Blood in a short period of time cause them to cost additional health and deal additional damage, and increases his healing and regeneration by 8%.
Vladimir unleashes a torrent of blood, dealing 60/90/120/150/180 (+0.45) magic damage to nearby enemies.

Each cast gives him an Empowered stack (max 4), increasing his healing and regeneration by 8% each. Additionally, Tides of Blood deals 25% more damage and costs 50% more Health per stack.

Tides of blood is a very powerful area of effect spell that can deal 350 - 500 damage to everything around you. This is a deadly spell with a very short cooldown. During the late game phase this should be abused in team fights because combined with Hemoplague, it will decimate the enemy and most definitely get an "ACE".

The reason why I max this spell last is because the health cost is much too great to use it efficiently early in the game. I will only max this spell before Sanguine Pool when I am sure that it will be more effective (E.G. No ganks, No dangerous enemies) and provide me with proper stopping power.

This incredible ability also allows us to scout for wards and stealthed champions as it hits ANYTHING hostile around you. Special thanks to Bulk for pointing this out.

Cost: 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 / 90 Health.
Cooldown: 4.5 seconds.
Magic Damage: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+0.45 per ability power).
Area of Effect: 620.

Hemoplague

Vladimir infects an area with a virulent plague. Affected enemies take increased damage for the duration. Hemoplague deals additional magic damage after a few seconds to infected enemies.
Vladimir infects the target area with a virulent plague, causing 14% increased damage for 5 seconds.

After 5 seconds, infected enemies take 150/250/350 (+0.7) magic damage.

This is a very, very powerful ultimate. This is Vladimir's trump card which gives him the chance to sparkle (:D Pun intended) in team fights. The 14% extra damage is extraordinary and will most likely have you win all your team fights. there is also a huge amount of damage that is dealt after the 5 seconds is up. This ultimate, if used correctly, is what will separate the good Vladimir's from the exceptional. the use of Hemoplague and Tides of Blood will melt the enemy health away and leave you VICTORIOUS!

The correct use of this ultimate will turn the tides of battle and grant you many, many assists and kills during your game.

Cost: 15% of current Health.
Cooldown: 150 / 135 / 120 seconds.
Magic Damage: 150 / 250 / 350.
Range: 700.
Effect: Attacks against afflicted units deal 14% more damage.

VI. Masteries

Deadliness 1/3 - Considering there is nothing else that is useful to choose, we might as well get a very small chance to get a critical strike. It may just come at the right time in the early game. If you chose to use Exhaust however, it is strongly advised that you take a point in Cripple instead.

Archmage's Savvy 3/3 - This is quite self explanatory, Extra Ability Power for a caster. What more could you want?!

Sorcery 4/4 - This is a great mastery because it gives us cooldown reduction.. <3 to this mastery! It allows Vladimir to use his abilities that tiny bit quicker.

Archaic Knowledge 1/1 - For a caster, Magic Penetration is VERY important. This mastery provides us with just that. :) The extra Magic Penetration is a lovely bonus for us, so... why wouldn't you take this mastery?

Resistance 3/3 - Resistance provides us with... well... Magic Resistance. Vladimir does not have very much Magic Resist to start with so this will help us lane longer.

Hardiness 3/3 - Hardiness gives us Armor, it is also going to be a nice addition to Vladimir and help him stay in the lane longer. Just like Resistance, this is purely for extra survivability.

Evasion 4/4 - Extra Dodge Chance... YAY! This is just like the previous 2. Taken for extra survivability. :)

Nimbleness 1/1 - With the dodge chance from Evasion we can get a speed boost during our game. Although this will not be as effective on Vladimir as on champions with high dodge chance (E.G. Sivir, Jax) but still... Every little bit helps. :D

Harden Skin 2/3 - Taken to reduce the effectiveness of DPS champions early game. Late game this mastery will practically be useless but in the early game, might just give you that little bit of an edge. Although this is highly unlikely, I have said it before, every little bit helps.

Veteran's Scars 3/3 - Exceptional boost to early game health. I usually take this to increase survivability.

Ardor 3/3 - This mastery provides us with an extra percentage of Ability Power and Attack Speed. This will be a great addition to your arsenal.

Tenacity 1/1 - Reduces damage taken by your champion. This is a spectacular mastery which should not be traded for something like Burning Embers.

As you can see, I roll with the 9/21/0 Vladimir. Taking 9 Offense, 21 Defense and 0 Utility. This provides us with Extra Magic Penetration, Extra Ability Power and a ton of Survivability bonuses. I do not take any points in Utility because most of them are mana related and as we do not have mana, it is COMPLETELY useless.

The 9/0/21 Vladimir is also viable but I choose not to use it as we do not have mana on this remarkable champion. :)

VII. Runes

The runes I use are listed below and have explanations for why I choose to use them.

Greater Mark of Insight x 9
The Greater Mark of Insight provides us with 8.55 Magic Penetration to start the game with. This is great for any Caster because it allows you to deal greater amounts of damage to your enemies early on in the game and it helps during the late game phase as well. Overall, a good rune choice in my opinion.
greater seal of vitality
Greater Seal of Vitality x 9
The reasons for why I choose to use the greater seal of vitality Greater Seal of Vitality is because I do not have any items that greatly increase survivability. These runes provide me with 174.96 Health at level 18 which allows me to survive just a little bit longer. This may not be the optimal choice but I believe that it helps. If you disagree with the use of this rune you could definitely use a different one.

Greater Glyph of Force x 9
I have been using these runes in gameplay and I have found it to be very useful. The Greater Glyph of Force provides us with 27.54 Ability Power at level 18. Overall, a great rune. I advise the use of this rune to everyone.

Greater Quintessence of Fortitude x 3
The Greater Quintessence of Fortitude provides us with 97.2 Health to start with which greatly increases your early game survivability. There have been many times when the 100 extra health helped me greatly. I am all for this Quintessence choice.

VIII. Item Build

= = = = =

The core of this build is Ionian Boots of Lucidity, Rylai's Crystal Scepter, Rabadon's Deathcap and Warmog's Armor and then there are 2 optional items. I believe that the 2 best items to have are the Void Staff and the Mejai's Soulstealer. But that is just my opinion. Feel free to experiment and adjust to counter the other team. Recently there have been many comments saying that the Abyssal Scepter is a better choice. Feel free to use it if you wish.

IX. Item Choice Explanation

Mejai's Soulstealer

Statistics: 20 Ability Power. UNIQUE Passive: Your champion gains 8 Ability Power per stack, receiving 2 stacks for a kill or 1 stack for an assist. This effect can stack 20 times: You lose a third of your stacks when you die. At 20 stacks, your champions cooldowns are reduced by 15%

While playing Vladimir I believe that a Mejai's Soulstealer is essential. Since 3/4 of your skills are Area of Effect style, you should never have problems racking up assists. Vladimir is also a killer so you should earn a few stacks from kills as well.

Vladimir can very easily protect the stacks on the Mejai's Soulstealer by simply using the Exhaust + Sanguine Pool combination. A good Vladimir should very, very rarely lose his stacks.

Ionian Boots of Lucidity

Statistics: 15% Cooldown Reduction. Passive: UNIQUE Passive: Enhanced movement 2.

The reason for why I choose to use the Ionian Boots of Lucidity is due to the fact that Vladimir is a caster that relies on cooldown reduction instead of mana. The 15% cooldown reduction you will get from this item is great and when paired with a stacked mejai's will get you a nice 30% cooldown reduction. Now that with your masteries should mean that you have 33% cooldown reduction. This item allows you to spam your skills early on in the game while your Mejai's Soulstealer is not stacked. These boots can be replaced with either Sorcerer's Shoes or Mercury's Treads depending on the situation.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter

Statistics: 80 Ability Power, 500 Health. UNIQUE Passive: Dealing spell damage reduces the target's movement speed by 35% for 2 seconds (15% for multi-target spells)

This item is a beast on Vladimir. It provides you with the two most important things for you, Ability Power and Health. The Rylai's Crystal Scepter also slows targets that are hit by any of your spells. This enables us to prevent the enemy from leaving the battlefield and this will allow us to EXTERMINATE them all.

Rabadon's Deathcap

Statistics: 155 Ability Power. UNIQUE Passive: Increased ability power by 30%.

This is an item that will greatly increase your killing power. Following the removal of Zhonya's Ring and the addition of Rabadon's Deathcap and Zhonya's Hourglass Vladimir has become an unstoppable killing machine. This is an offensive item that should not be overlooked.

Warmog's Armor

Statistics: +920 Health +30 Health Regen per 5 seconds. UNIQUE Passive: Permanently gain 4.5 Health and .15 Health Regen per 5 sec per minion kill. Champion kills and assists grant 45 Health and 1.5 Health Regen per 5 sec. Bonuses cap at +450 Health, and +15 Health Regen per 5.

The reason for why I use the Warmog's Armor is that it provides me with immense Health and a nice amount of Health Regeneration. I also choose to use the Warmog's Armor because the use of Sanguine Pool uses BONUS Health. That means that only Health from items like Warmog's Armor and Ruby Crystal is counted. Buying a Warmog's Armor allows me to deal significant damage using Sanguine Pool.

Void Staff

70 Ability Power. UNIQUE Passive: +40% Magic Penetration.

It's back! The Void Staff is now once again in the item build due to the addition of the Ionian Boots of Lucidity! As we no longer take the Sorcerer's Shoes we need the extra magic penetration. Jebus McAzn has given me the new item build and it works wonders. The Void Staff is now once again superior to the Abyssal Mask because the Magic Penetration that it gives us pays off a lot sooner.

X. Optional Items

Here I will discuss some items that could be used to replace an item from the main build. The items I have thought were great but just not good enough are listed below.

Will of the Ancients

+40 Ability Power UNIQUE Aura: Gives nearby allied champions +30 Ability Power and 20% spell vamp.

Another excellent item. The Will of the Ancients is a very team friendly item. It provides your allies with extra Ability Power and Spell Vamp. This will greatly increase your teams effectiveness if there is another Caster. The Will of the Ancients is also one of the few items that provide Spell Vamp and I think that it is a wonderful item because it makes all your Abilities give you health and literally, "Pay for themselves".

Deathfire Grasp

+60 Ability Power +10 Mana Regen per 5 Sec UNIQUE Passive: Reduces ability cooldowns by 15%. UNIQUE Active: Deals magic damage to target champion equal to 30% of their current health (+3.5% per 100 Ability Power) with a miminum of 200 damage. 1 minute cooldown.

I have seen quite a few Vladimir players use this item so I thought that I might as well list it. It provides you with a decent amount of Ability Power and Cooldown Reduction. The Unique Active for this item is great but personally I am not a very big fan of it. I do not advise people to get this item because there are better items for Vladimir and anyway, the Deathfire Grasp is not really that useful on a champion like Vladimir as most of the time you will not need it.

Lich Bane

+350 Mana +80 Ability Power +30 Magic Resist +7% Movement Speed UNIQUE Passive: 100% chance when an ability is used that your next physical attack deals an additional 100% of your Ability Power in damage. This effect has a 2 second cooldown.

I love using the Lich Bane on Casters and Vladimir is no exception. The Lich Bane passive is incredible and allows you to push towers just like your carry. The Lich Bane also makes you even more deadly because you will be putting out an extra 700 - 900 Damage every 2 seconds along with your other highly damaging skills. I did not list this item in the primary section of the build because I didn't want any comments about a "wasted stat" and because I commonly use the Void Staff anyway. :)

Now for some defensive items that you may need:

Force of Nature

+76 Magic Resist +40 Health Regen per 5 sec +8% Movement Speed UNIQUE Passive: Restores 0.35% of your champion's health every second.

Hmm... What a great anti-caster item... The Force of Nature is a very good item to have when facing Caster heavy teams. The 76 Magic Resist is exceptional and this item is a must-have when facing other powerful Casters. The Force of Nature also gives us movement speed and Health Regeneration. Overall, you cannot go wrong buying an item like this.

Thornmail

+100 Armor UNIQUE Passive: On being hit by standard attacks, returns 30% of damage taken as magic damage.

The Thornmail should be commended for it's ability to make the enemy DPS destroy themselves. Simply put on a Thornmail and the enemy carry will want to think twice before targeting you. However, if there is someone who is brave enough to try to kill you should simply attack them while they attack you. If you do this their Health should drop like a rock (and so should they considering that they will be dead).

Randuin's Omen

+300 Health +90 Armor +25 Health Regen per 5 sec. UNIQUE Passive: 15% Cooldown Reduction and 20% chance on being hit to slow the attacker's movement and attack speeds by 35% for 3 seconds. UNIQUE Active: Slows movement speeds and attack speeds of surrounding units by 35% for 2 seconds + 0.5 seconds for each 100 Armor and Magic Resist. 60 second cooldown.

This is an item that is excellent when we consider the Health, large amount of Armor, Health Regeneration and Cooldown Reduction. This is definitely one of the the best defensive items for Vladimir. The Randuin's Omen active is something that should not be forgotten or ignored as it has the potential to save your life out on the Fields of Justice. Definitely a good choice when facing a physically orientated team. :D

Aegis of the Legion

+270 Health +18 Armor +24 Magic Resist UNIQUE Aura: +12 Armor / +15 Magic Resistance / +8 Damage to nearby allied units.

Not much to say about this really, a good, team friendly item that provides us with Health and a little bit of extra Armor, Magic Resistance and Damage. I am not a big fan of an Aegis of the Legion but I do find it an acceptable item.

Guardian Angel

Statistics: +68 Armor +38 Magic Resistance UNIQUE Passive: Revives your Champion upon death, restoring 750 Health and 375 Mana, this effect can only occur once every 5 minutes.

The Guardian Angel is a decent item. It provides us with a great amount of Armor and Magic Resistance. Also this item allows us to be revived after death every 5 minutes making it just that much easier to maintain the precious Mejai's Soulstealer full of stacks.

Zhonya's Hourglass

Statistics: 50 Armor, 100 Ability Power. UNIQUE Active: Places your champion into Stasis for 2 seconds, rendering your champion invulnerable and untargetable but unable to take any actions. 90 second cooldown.

Well, basically this item is the "Defencive" Rabadon's Deathcap. It gives us a great amount of Ability Power and the old Zhonya's Ring active. This is a good item to have on hand as it is a "Get out of jail *FREE*" card (I say that too much!). Not much to say about this item... Get it if the enemy has a strong physical carry that is giving you trouble or if you are being targeted. Although you shouldn't need this item since you're Vladimir it can still save your life once or twice. :)

XI. Gameplay

My Definitions:

Early Game: Level 1 - 9

Mid Game: Level 10 - 16

Late Game: Level 17 +

Early Game - Level 1 - 9

During the early game you should simply focus on farming and harassing your enemy with Transfusion. Focus on last hits and farming up enough gold to buy the Mejai's Soulstealer.

You should play fairly passively until level 6 - 7 when you can start to attempt getting a kill. You should be able to stay in the lane for quite some time because you will never "Run out" of mana and Transfusion should supply you with a good amount of Health.

Mid Game - Level 10 - 16

During the mid game you continue farming and you can also start ganking the enemies in other lanes. If there are no ganking opportunities you should focus on farming more minions and leveling up.

This is where the proper Vladimir players will decimate their enemies and the beginners will not. This is what will either make it or break it for you.

Late Game - Level 17 +

Go into team fights, use your Transfusion, Tides of Blood and Hemoplague and decimate the enemy. In the late game you should be racking up kills and smashing your opponents. During the late game you will have been fed or at least have a very solid build. You should also be very, very beefy and be an unstoppable force.

At the ending stage of the game you WILL win because you are Vladimir and you are a killer. You are the Crimson Caster. The words "Late Game" are the same as "Pre-win" to you because you cannot lose. Now go out there and WIN!!!

XII. Champion Spotlight

Another great video of Phreak's gameplay. His item build is... interesting... but the gameplay is outstanding. :)

XIII. Battle Plan

The battle plan for Vladimiris very simple. Engage with Transfusion and a Tides of blood and then just keep spamming those skills between auto-attacks and watch the enemy health melt.

In team fights you should initiate with a Hemoplague followed by a Tides of Blood and a Transfusion on their squishy. Very simple, effective and easy to remember. :)

XIV. Securing Kills

Securing kills is no problem for Vladimir as Transfusion deals instant damage, so just simply spam the Transfusion and Tides of Blood and when they are low on health finish them with a decisive, powerful Transfusion that is cast when the enemy will DEFINITELY die.

XV. Principles

Transfusion is free. You have to keep transfusion on cooldown... ALWAYS! Otherwise you are not using it to it's full potential. Vladimir has to be feeding constantly and what better way to do it than a 700 damage nuke? If you are in a fight DO NOT forget to cast Transfusion every time it is up!

Tides of Blood can get very costly. Since Tides of Blood is a very spammable skill it can take out large portions of your health quickly. The cost increases by 50% per cast and at level 5 the capped cost is 270 Health. Losing 270 Health every 4.5 seconds from your own attacks can be very costly to you.

When using Tides of Blood don't be afraid to lose a bit of health. Although I have said that Tides of Blood can be very costly it should not go underused. Abuse this skill, use it for everything. When used in conjunction with a good Transfusion the cost is not too great. But beware, overuse of the skill is still very, very dangerous.

Transfusion deals instant damage. Don't hesitate on the use of Transfusion for last hits. The damage is dealt instantly so it is the best last hitting tool against single targets. ABUSE IT!

Sanguine Pool is your only natural escape mechanism. Your only NATURAL escape mechanism is Sanguine Pool and so it may be better to save it in case of a gank rather than use it to deal damage to a target.

And last but not least, Vladimir is a superb ganker. Vladimir has to gank. It is second nature to him. Be sure to come from behind the target and use your Transfusion and Tides of Blood on them. The slow from Rylai's Crystal Scepter will keep them planted allowing you to snag a kill with Ignite or a Sanguine Pool (Inadvisable at early levels when Sanguine Pool has a high cooldown).

XVII. Riot Tips

Playing as Vladimir

- Transfusion instantly deals damage to the enemy before healing Vladimir, making it one of the best last hitting tools in the game.

- Cast Hemoplague where it will afflict the most units.

- Sanguine Pool pops incoming missiles, so it can be used to dodge disables.

XVIII. Conclusion

I hope you like my Vladimir guide and I hope that you will leave me constructive comments that I can utilize and make my guide better. I will also try to work on this guide more later on and help you become the ultimate Caster, Vladimir - The Crimson Caster!

I wish you the best of luck while using this build. Happy Casting. :) Also, ratings are welcomed. Please rate it a +1 if you believe that it is a good guide and a -1 if you don't think that it is quite good enough. Please make sure that after you -1 you check back later to see either an answer to your question or a change in the guide that I have made. Then you can feel free to +1 my guide. xD
