Damage marks are very beneficial on Volibear
Mostly because you're building an AD offtank in the first place.
Armor and Magic Resist are very common when it comes to runes, not much to say other than it gives you a little bit more sustain early game.
Attack speed is AMAZING on Volibear because it makes him completely destroy turrets because of your stacking AS buff in the form of Frenzy
9|21|0 Masteries are what I use for Volibear.
In Offense, I take CDR and AS, as well as Increased damage to turrets.
In Defense, I take Health per level, Health regen, Armor and MR, reduced damage from basic attacks, Tenacity (reduces duration of CC), and Increases ARM and Mr %, as well as
Summoner's Resolve and
You may be saying to yourself, Zephyr? Really?.
Well Zephyr Provides evrything Volibear needs, including movement speed, attack speed, cooldown reduction, and attack damage, plus the tenacity buff. So combined with your mastery, you'll have 50% tenacity, not bad, right?
And Frozen Mallet is definately one of My favorite items in the game, Cause I mean come on, think about it. 40% SLOW ON YOUR BASIC ATTACK, HOW IS THAT NOT FREAKING AWESOME?!?!?!
Ah, Chosen of the Storm, it's something, isn't it? Something OVERPOWERED that will save you so many times, it's wonderful
When Volibear drops to below 30% HP, he rapidly regenerates 30% of his maximum health over a time period of 6 seconds. 120 second cooldown
Use: Not Dying
Description: Steroid Active Volibear drops on all fours for 4 seconds giving him 15% increased movement speed,
this bonus is increased to 45% when chasing ENEMY CHAMPIONS
His next basic attack while in this state will deal 30/60/90/120/150 BONUS damage and fling the target 300 units behind him.
12/11/10/9/8 second cooldown
Use: Escape, Chase
Description: Single target nuke/Stacking buff Passive/Active Volibear gains 8/11/14/17/20% attack speed for every basic attack, stacking up to 3 times.
(lasts 4 seconds)
When fully stacked, Volibear can activate this ability to deal 80/125/170/215/260 (+ 15% of bonus health physical damage to target enemy.
Use: Damage This is maxed first
Desription: AoE slow (also fear for minions and monsters) Active Volibear lets out a roar that does 60/105/150/195/240 (+ 60% of ability power) magic damage to all nearby enemies and slows by 30/35/40/45/50% for 3 seconds.
Use: Damage, and slow This is maxed second
Description: Steroid Active
For 12 seconds, Volibear's basic attacks will deal 75/115/115 (+ 30% of ability power) bonus damage and create a chain lightning effect that bounces up to 3 targets.
Each bolt can only hit a single target once.
Your job as Volibear is to initiate with your combo.
Said combo goes like this.
Flip them with Rolling Thunder, slow them with Majestic Roar, complete the stacks of Frenzy, then use it, then activate Thunder Claws.
Then do it again to another enemy.
and another one.
and another one.
and then you will kill the last one and get a pentassist.
Wait, that's not a thing...
