Advice for high Gold/Platinum play?

Make sure your mechanics are solid and you keep an eye on the map (obviously you have a support for this too, but relying on a random support in solo queue isn't necessarily the best idea). I agree with Joxuu that the ability to trade aggressively (note: [b]not[/b] overaggressively) is a pretty big difference between your average gold ADC and someone who belongs higher, I see most ADC players in gold miss a lot of opportunities to get out some auto attack harass on the enemy laners.
