Late August Patch Preview: Gameplay Changes

In this edition of the Patch Preview, you’ll get the low-down on Corki, Graves, and Ezreal’s AD rebalancing, as well as changes to the Abyssal Scepter. Diana’s getting some tweaks and Evelynn players will be excited to see some buffs incoming for their favorite Widowmaker. For more information, check out the video.

We’re also excited to have FeralPony on his maiden Patch Preview voyage, narrating alongside Phreak. FeralPony is a staple around the EU forums and as a Champion Designer, helped bring Fizz, Graves, Hecarim, Jayce, and Rumble to life. Give him a big welcome!




I feel like most of the nerfs / buffs were well deserved, especially for the AD carries. I'm glad they didn't totally kill my AP EZ! <3

One thing I'm disappointed about is the DRASTIC range reduction of Abyssal Scepter. The main problem is there's no other good AP / Magic Resist item, and leaves mages with having to take stats they don't want if they want Magic Resist. I hope they will make another AP / Magic resist item or buff the MR on some current Magic Resist / AP items.

Aww damn, that means more AP Ez damage...

Though a lot less early game, and not a big buff to the scaling or anything. His power is not in his late game imo. >_>

Seems to be the icon of Amumu's Despair is changed.

I noticed the hitbox of Ezreal's W being wider than the animation, lol.

Guess I'll go back to maxing Q after this..

Maxing W is still better. Always will be. Just dont miss. Honestly the hitbox should have been like that anyway

It's not so much for the hitbox as it is for the damage that I'm considering Q. I find it quite easy to poke with Q in most lanes, too.

Guess I'll just test both x)
