Ladies and gentlemen,
The end of the year is nearing and we aren't even close to having enough nominees for making the competition running. I still want to make this awards happen so I suggest to streamline all categories. This would likely end up in something like this:
1. Best quote 2014 (combi of smartest and wittiest quote ofc)
2. Best poster 2014 (combi of smartest, wittiest, helpful, peacekeeper and troublemaker)
3. Best author 2014 (combi of blog and guide)
4. Best service 2014 (combi of art shop, review shop and idea)
5. Best thread 2014 (combi of thread, forum games and theorycrafting)
6. Best mobafire member 2014 (replacement of person of glory)
As this would half the amount of categories, there will also be more people rewarded per category (if there are enough nominees of course). In the voting part you will not only vote on the nominees but also say in what subcategory they would mostly fit into. So it is basically the same as before, only then people are more specified in the voting section instead of the nominating section. Also; If there would be too little amount of people in a subcategory, it is much easier dropped than it would be previously.
All the current nominees would be set in the categories as listed above if you guys are okay with this change. The main categories above are more open than the subcategories, meaning that the best mobafire member is just a guy(ette) you think was the most awesome this year and that the best service can also be an individual doing a lot of database updates. Just keep in mind that for "Best thread 2014", services are excluded, so this category basically only includes discussion topics or forum games.
Hopefully this change would make it easier for people to nominate others and are we able to at least bring competition within 6 categories. This change will only happen if the majority of participants are not disagreeing with this idea. Thus if you have any issue with this, please leave a comment down below or PM me.
