No i'm serious.

Artistic and graphical quality is very good.
The entire game is balanced very well and all the heroes are very satisfying to play.
There are rarely any slip ups with patches. Every match is exciting when you enter it. The game feels very dependent on skill but that doesn't really effect how fun it is because its more relaxed. People aren't going to go down on your neck if you are doing badly, they will just continue to play and do their best.

I still prefer league. Less things to remember, champions are more likable than DOTA's heroes, etc.

DotA is enjoyable in its own way. I do love the graphical style but the non-responsiveness of moving is just annoying. The amount of randomness is just plain dumb which would completely contradict skill which is kinda stupid (chaos knight happening to get a 4 sec stun instead of a 2 sec one, etc.) and then there's the denying system which, seems nice on paper, but is flawed as ****.

Things I do actually enjoy are the map size, the complexity of the terrain, the unique items (e.g. arghanim's scepter, blink dagger) and the fact that it keeps lore intact. Oh and also, Invoker is still OP x)

Lol, you think DotA 2 has/will have more friendly/relaxed people than LoL. People are and will be just as rotten in both games. People said the same thing about LoL at first, but that didn't last long.

Balanced? I'm pretty sure you, like most people, can't judge the balance of LoL or DotA. It takes deep knowledge of the game mechanics, which is much more common in top-tier players.
Don't make a statement on balance when you really don't know jack ****. It's stupid.


My main gripe with DotA 2 (and DotA) is its stat system and lack of caster-centric stats.
Casters are more niche in DotA, whereas in LoL they're an integral part of the game in a whole different manner.
This also limits choice and adaptability in itemization.
And the choice to group stats into 3 attributes only serve to FURTHER reduce choice and adaptability in items. The attribute system is clearly a result of the game mechanics of WC3 and not something chosen by the designers themselves, because it brings waaay more problems to the table than it does good things.


That said, both do different things well and neither is clearly superior to the other.

I honestly don't prefer either of them. I prefer Awesomenauts to both of them :P
