5 Best ADC to Climb Ranks in League of Legends Patch 13.19

New faces on the list, Miss Fortune is out and the second pick is one void champion that always come back. Learn what are the Best ADC to play in League of Legends Patch 13.19

As expected in every Worlds Patch, Riot’s balance team played it safely and did not make any drastic changes to make sure Worlds was stable enough for the team to compete at the most optimal condition.

However, there are buffs and nerfs pros skewed to a few of the most loved/hated champions in competitive to make things spicier and less boring.

(Do you already know about all of the changes? You can jump directly into the list here)

For instance, Azir's Conquering Sands (Q) cooldown is being reduced. In regards to buffs, Lee Sin and Syndra are getting what seems like small buffs but are enough to make them viable in pro play.

There are a lot of changes to go over that include minor nerfs to Rek’Sai, Statikk Shiv adjustments, and the addition of La Ilusion skins.

For more details, you can check our League of Legends Patch 13.19 Summary.

Changes to the ADC role in League of Legends Patch 13.19

Continuing the World's talk, there’s one ADC champion that Pros prefer/love (Especially Ruler) but Riot and viewers do not like as much. If you guessed, of course, we are referring to Zeri.

Not getting too much into Zeri complaints, she’s quite a polemic pick in regards to competitive, especially when she’s OP and dictating the Pick and Ban phase of the entire tournament.

Zeri nerfs Patch 13.19

Thanks Riot

To mitigate her ahead of Worlds and make picking her more of a luxury instead of a priority, Riot is aiming to nerf one of the most obnoxious and OP parts of her kit, the mobility.

  • Base Movement Speed: 335 ⇒ 330

Currently, Zeri is actually not in a great spot for Solo Queue so these changes are not gonna mean much for us mortal players.

The second change for ADCs is a buff to Twitch’s Spray and Pray (Ultimate).

  • R - Spray And Pray
  • Missile Speed: 4000 ⇒ 5000

As of right now, the changes haven’t moved the needle to improve Twitch stand on the bot lane meta, still it is a nice Quality of Life change for those who mains the Plague rat.

Now talking about the actual changes that will make sense in our Solo Queue games, let’s start with the massive buffs to Jhin.

  • R - Curtain Call
  • Minimum Physical Damage: 50/125/200 (+25% total AD) ⇒ 64/154/244 (+25% total AD)

This seems small but when you consider the way Jhin ultimate works (Dealing more damage with less HP), the buffs are much bigger.

If we look into the Jhin statistics after the changes his win rate has improved by a 0.4% despite being picked way more. This change and the buffs to Stormrazor from last patch has made Jhin one of the best picks in bot.

With all these changes out of the way, let’s move into the list.

5. Ashe

Ashe 5th

The previous Queen of the list is now at the fifth spot

Not much has changed for Ashe, her numbers are the same and the build remains to be really OP, yet, she’s still the 5th pick of this list. What happened?

What actually dropped Ashe from being the Queen is the fact that the other marksmen got buffed next to the meta-favoring one-shot types of playstyle, which isn’t particularly Ashe’s forte.

If you add to the mix the rise of Mid lane picks that give her trouble (Sylas) and tough jungle matchups (Jarvan IV) these conditions have made it difficult for Ashe to shine like in previous patches.

Ashe Build

Recommended Ashe Build

Despite that, Ashe still remains one of the best ADCs to pick up, and if you are already good at playing her you should keep doing it so.

Utility with Engage on Enchanted Crystal Arrow (Ultimate) and tons of DPS with her Trinity Force build. She’s the best all-around bot lane currently.

In my opinion though, I do believe if one of the other ADCs in the list gets changed or meta shifts towards a scaling meta (Which is likely to happen in Patch 13.20), expect Ashe to be back right at the top.

If you want to climb ranks in League of Legends Patch 13.19, don't look further than Ashe. Of course, to best learn Ashe, check our recommended MOBAFire guides.

4. Sivir

Sivir 5th

The recommended ADC for newer players in the ADC role

Sivir right now is having much success across all regions. After the outroar with Sivir’s Korean Build in the last patch (We look through it in the previous entry), people began to understand that Sivir was actually strong and started to play her much more.

Although this patch had a Statikk Shiv nerf, players just returned to the most common rune/build setup and even winning far more often.

Sivir Build

Recommended Sivir Build

Lethal Tempo allows Sivir to deal more DPS, using Ghost with her increases her chase potential with On The Hunt (Ultimate) even further, and Navori Blades passive allows Ricochet (W) to always be permanent, increasing Sivir DPS by a ton.

There are still drawbacks with this build. Despite Boomerang Blade (Q) being a long skill shot, Sivir auto attack range is really short making her vulnerable to long range bullies like Draven, and the lack of dashes makes her prey to champions like Jarvan IV.

The second difficulty of Sivir comes from the fact of using her Spellshield (E), how you use this spell makes or break a great Sivir, against better players they just hold their cooldowns to bait you using it so be aware of that.

If you like simpler ADCs or got auto-filled against dive champions, Sivir is a great pick. Her Spellshield (E) is a great tool to stop that pesky Blitzcrank's Rocket Grab (Q), and On the Hunt (R) will help you escape many situations, or create engage opportunities for your team. And the poke play with Boomerang Blade + Ricochet is really forgiving for new players.

To learn Sivir you can check our recommended MOBAFire Guides. The best OTPs tell you all their secrets and tips to get you ahead in the learning curve.

To counter the Battle Mistress, one tip is to freeze to encourage trading (Just dodge her Q's). Check Counterstats to learn the best picks against her.

3. Jhin

Jhin 3rd

No 4th spot in the list sadly.

As previously mentioned, Jhin got a big buff on his Curtain Call (Ultimate) that has skyrocketed him into the third spot of this list.

Currently, the Virtuoso fits perfectly in the engage meta of bot lane.

In the previous entry, we talked about how the buffs to Stormrazor made Jhin have a comeback into the most popular picks in the bot lane.  In this Patch 13.19, he really is a contender for one of the best ADCs to play in Solo Queue currently.

Jhin Build

Recommended Jhin Build

One of the best traits of Jhin is how reliably you can play him alone. Fleet Footwork rune setup with Jhin allows him to play really aggressive with the extra mobility and sustain. The deadly combos with engage supports using Deadly Flourish (W), the absurd damage of the Whisper's 4th shots, and utility of both his Captive Audience (E) traps and Curtain Call (Ultimate) do really make Jhin a champion that does not need too much of a support.

One little tip: You can use your 3rd shot with Fleet Footwork to get extra mobility to sneak up an 4th shot auto attack with a Dancing Grenade (Q) combo.

As every pick, Jhin has his weaknesses, one of them is relying on skillshots to do significant damage or set up plays. We recommend practicing your sniper skills.

The second main weakness is that Jhin has no dashes, making him vulnerable against... Jarvan IV. You can notice a pattern here, but, don't worry, the first pick of this list does not mind playing against the Demacian Prince.

Anyway, Jhin carry potential is over the roof right now with the extra execution damage of his Curtain Call (Ultimate), that makes his level 6 plays quite annoying and hard to deal with.

To learn the way of Jhin, check our recommended MOBAFire guides.

To counter the Virtuoso, check Counterstats to learn the best picks against this maniac obsessed with the number four.

2. Kai’Sa

Jhin 4th

Again here

Talking about one champion that gets OP everytime a new build makes it viable. Kai’Sa has come back to the list stronger than ever and the reason is the new Lethality build.

Kai'Sa Build

Recommended Kai'Sa

The new Kai’Sa build makes up for the Statikk Shiv nerfs, even better is the fact that this early focused build makes the Void Queen snowball like crazy to 1v9 games by herself.

The uproar on this pick is really a big thing, in KR Solo Queue she has a 38.3% Pick rate (Most popular champion in the game) with a 49.8% Win rate, but don't be fooled by this number, she's really darn strong.

I need to be honest though, like every build that is designed to stomp the early game, this build falls off REALLYY hard in late game so you must be really good at playing this with an intention in mind. If you win lane, you 1v9: if you get behind, don't expect to be useful.

What most players recommend to ensure your success is to play safe until you got Umbral Glaive + Serrated Dirk, which allows to get an early Icathian Rain (Q) evolve.

What missed on the Statikk Shiv build was damage, this build gives it.

To learn Kai’Sa and play it like the pros, you should check out our recommended MOBAFire guides.

To counter Kai’Sa, well… Sivir has a good matchup against her with the poke of Boomerang Blade (Q), and the number one pick on the list bullies Kai’Sa and scales better.

1. Ezreal

Ezreal 1st

The number one spot belongs to Ezreal.

Meta has suited Ezreal for a long time and seems this is not going to change.

Although Kai’Sa is arguably the best ADC in the game, the difficulty to play her new build properly makes it inconsistent compared to the Prodigal Explorer.

Ezreal mobility and sheer damage output allows him to navigate the ONE shot meta that we are currently living through. Picks like Jarvan IV and Lee Sin being among the best in the game and engage supports dominating the bot lane only strengthen the case of Ezreal being the best pick.

Ezreal Build

Recommended Ezreal Build

As always, Ezreal is not a breeze of a champion to learn, you must put in the work to play this champion properly. Hitting your Mystic Shot (Q), keeping your Rising Spell Force (Passive) stacks up and position well enough to dodge important cooldowns with your Arcane Shift (E).

Cons

  • Requires hands, the better player you are, Ezreal feels OP. On the contrary, he feels unrewarding
  • Lacks strong waveclear
  • Struggles to melt tanks

For a head start to learn Ezreal, check our recommended MOBAFire guides.

To counter Ezreal, you can check Counterstats. One tip to play against Ezreal is to hide under your minion wave, this will make him work harder to poke with his Mystic Shot's (Q).

Honorable mentions

  • Miss Fortune – Still a really good pick in lower elos, a good Bullet Time (Ultimate) still 1v9s fights. She's out because as of right now Sivir is in a better spot but that can change in any upcoming patch.
  • Nilah – She has a great matchup against most picks on the list. What keeps Nilah from being included in these lists is the fact that she gets hard-countered by mages in the bot lane, and well not many players will pick her due to her  unique playstyle.
  • Vayne - The Night Hunter is still one of the best picks. She’s not included due to the Statikk Shiv nerfs, you can argue that the Stormrazor’s build is even better but is hard to tell. In the next patch, Vayne may be included again.

In the end, the best pick is the one that you are having fun with. So even if these picks are strong in the game, one champion played to its fullest is still going to come over on top (unless you are in Masters+).
