5 Best ADC to Climb Ranks in League of Legends Patch 13.14

The bot lane meta is having shake ups in ADCs, despite tanks still being the frontrunner supports. Learn which are the new 5 Best ADC to Climb Ranks in League of Legends Patch 13.14 (And dominate with them!)

When the meta in bot lane revolves around engage supports dominating the pace, you know the champions with tons of burst loved it, or the ones with great movement can arcane shift through it.

Despite nerfs to Rell, the meta for this League of Legends patch 13.14 has stayed the same. But, the ADC has quite a few shake-ups. Learn what are the best 5 ADCs to play in this patch (Spoiler: Miss Fortune has fallen from grace).

Changes to the ADC role in League of Legends Patch 13.14

Before going over the list, let’s explain the biggest changes made to the role in this patch 13.14.

The bigger change has to be the Ghost aiming toward ADCs' late-game team fighting ability. This nerf should be felt most in champions like Aphelios, who relies heavily on the permanent Ghost to pop off in fights.

For more details, you can check our League of Legends Patch 13.14 Summary.

5. Xayah

Twitch Splash Art

Xayah is back to our list.

Early Season 13 saw the domination of Xayah, and very close to the Worlds patch, we have this staple of pro play coming back to the game finding her on the 5th spot of the list.

Xayah is perfect for this heavy engage meta. Picks like Rell, Nautilus, and her loving duo Rakan pair perfectly with her, and in case of facing them in the bot lane, she’s more than well equipped to deal with all sorts of engages with her ultimate Featherstorm (R).

Talking about her cons, she requires an upfront playstyle to take her advantage of her feathers' damage, and the Nerf to Galeforce plus Ghost hurt her possibility to get out of sticky situations when ulting is not an option. Also, short-range makes her vulnerable to two of the picks from this list. If you struggle against Xayah, you can find her best counters here.

Besides all of that, expect Xayah to rise the positions in upcoming patches, heck even Riot has already pointed out their preference for engage heavy supports towards Worlds.

Xayah Build

Recommended Xayah Build

Expect her to be strong for quite a while, and get a lot of LP. To learn how to feather up your opponents, check our specialized Xayah MOBAFire guides, so you smash the bot lane with the Rebel.

4. Samira

Samira Splash Art

The most banned ADC in the game

The terror of bot lane, at least by her ban rate, is our 4th spot on the list.

Samira does not need too much introduction, her ability to snowball and win 1v9 has always been her strong suit, with her ultimate and deadly combos she’s a scary menace in this League of Legends patch 13.14.

When champions like Rell and Nautilus are meta, Samira has a good time. As a skirmish champion, she thrives in the dive meta, especially when left untouched to be able to 1v9 fights after stacking up her combos.

Despite her being the most banned ADC, her win rate does not reflect that, and that’s when we get into her cons. Samira is not easy whatsoever, to be able to adapt to combos in different situations makes or breaks a good Samira player. Other cons are her close range, making her vulnerable to pokes and CC lockdowns, and supports good at disengaging like Janna.

Besides negatives, if you are a really good Samira player you will be able to bypass them and do your thing… smashing team fights with a game-breaking Inferno Trigger (Ultimate).

Samira Build

Recommended Samira Build

With a new build using the recently buffed Infinity Edge, she could be even stronger. Feel free to check our recommended Samira guides in MOBAFire so you can learn the Desert Rose S-rated combos. If you hate Samira and ban her often, maybe it's time to pick up a counter.

3. Ashe

Ashe Splash Art

The Frost Archer with Trinity still remains a powerhouse

There’s no more reliable ADC than Ashe. And despite Trinity Force getting nerfed in this patch she’s still doing hot, making her our 3rd spot on the list.

After the buffs to Trinity Force back in patch 13.10, Ashe has been one of the stronger picks in the game. Her ability to proc the Spellblade ability makes her initial upfront damage higher and the stats along with Kraken Slayer turn Ashe into a tank-shredding machine.

But what makes her such a stronger pick is her laning. Ashe has one of the best auto-attack range and paired with her Frost Shot (Passive) slows and Volley (W) pokes, makes her an outstanding laner. This is without mentioning her ability to don't rely too much on support players or any tanks initiating fights thanks to her Enchanted Crystal Arrow (Ultimate).

Still, Ashe does have glaring weaknesses, one of them being a lack of mobility making it easy prey against divers and the strong assassins in LoL Patch 13.14, Naafiri being one of them. If you struggle against Ashe you can check her biggest counters here.

Ashe Build

Recommended Ashe Build

After understanding very well her weaknesses though, Ashe is a really strong pick and one of the best to play as a beginner ADC. To learn the ropes with the Frost Archer, check our recommended MOBAFire Guides.

2. Ezreal

Ezreal Splash Art

No engage can stop his domination

Engage meta, short-range ADCs, and a stronger Trinity Force. Is good to be Ezreal. Our 2nd pick of the list.

AD Carries deal the most amount of damage in the damage, that’s what they are for and usually, they scale up to being 1v9 machines… well that’s if you can deal damage. That’s why in a heavy engage meta, Ezreal rises in priority, and with his numbers not being too bad plus Trinity Force being so busted, the Prodigal Explorer is having a great time.

Despite Ezreal’s strength, he’s still one of the hardest ADC to master. To have good results you will need to play in the front to take advantage of his passive and be GOOD at hitting skill shots, or you will be far from having much success.

Ezreal Build

Recommended Ezreal Build

As long as you play Ezreal properly (and you can read our guides to have an idea), he’s one of the best champions in the game. Miss skill shots and use your Arcane Shift (E) recklessly (not doing damage or to avoid key CC), or don't play well against counters and you will fail.

Pretty much like Ashe, he’s really strong but falls short against the best pick of the patch overall and the most popular champion to play in the game too(Yeah…).

Before continuing these are a few of the honorable mentions that are still GREAT picks but couldn’t make it to the list.

Honorable mentions

  • Miss Fortune: She’s still one of the best beginner-friendly ADC and when paired with the likes of Nautilus, you can still win a lot of games with this pick.
  • Draven: Complexity to pilot and overall difficulty in his play it’s what hinders Draven from making a spot, still he has one of the best win rates among ADCs and has great matchups against mainstays of the list.
  • Jhin: Engage supports + Jhin setup? Free kills. He falls short in the later stages of the game, and being reliant on Galeforce which just got nerfed does not help his case.

1. Kai’Sa

Kai'Sa Splash Art

She's still the Queen of bot lane

One of the best ADCs for a longtime now, our 1st spot in this belongs to Kai'Sa.

Who would think that even after Statikk Shiv was nerfed she would still be that strong? Well, this speaks volumes about her strength in the ADC role as of right now.

Kai’Sa is perfect for this engage meta, not only she has a great follow-up with her Void Seeker (W) + Killer Instinct (Ultimate) combo, but her ability to deal damage while sneaky moving with her evolved E makes it her so much stronger in this meta. The versatility of her Ultimate allows her to escape rough instances, and even her ability to build both AP or AD items makes it harder to counter her with items.

She’s the whole package in this, and League userbase sentiment feels it too because she’s the most popular champion in just not the role, but the ENTIRE game.

You cannot go wrong when picking Kai’Sa, and you should abuse it before Riot inevitably nerfs in amidst the League of Legends World Championship.

Kai'Sa Build

Recommended Kai'Sa Build

Want to play Kai'Sa. You can check our recommended MOBAFire guides and go rampant with the Daughter of the Void.

Kai'Sa Popularity

Over 41.6% pick rate

Cons on Kai’Sa.

  • Short range.
  • Can suffer against heavy CC or picks like Ashe.
  • Requires proficiency, she’s not as easy to pilot compared to a Miss Fortune.
  • Mastery curve on when to go-in vs be patient and play slowly.

As always, if you struggle against the Daughter of the Void you can pick Kindred, for instance, or many of her counters which you could find here in Counterstats.
