Threats to Gnar with this build
|Dr. Mundo||Mundo is practically the main person you counter. Buying bork is essential. Max your w first and just poke him down your you aa's.|
|Malphite||Malphite is very easy. Your w can chunk him down. Bork is essential.|
|Sion||Sion is extremely easy. Jump out of his smash down and just kite him.|
|Zac||Very easy to verse. Kite him when he initiates. Your aa's are fast enough to take out his passive. Bully him away from his health blobs.|
Hey Mobafire I'm Stitchiie and this is my first guide. The reason I chose Gnar because he is my favourite champ and has been for a while. With a 83% win rate and with over 80 games I have found that these items work best with the situations so whoever you are playing against you know how to build against them. Fury is great with Gnar. The attack speed works well with his kiting ability aswell as well with your w.
Feast is very good for sustaining in lane and winning in farm and able to build up health before initiating.
Natural talent is a better choice that Vampirism. Gnar is tanky enough and needs the extra damage.
Oppressor goes great with Gnar because his Q is a slow making his kiting a lot more stronger.
Savagery is better than Wanderer because Gnar stays in lane and farms and this makes his q stronger.
Secret Stash is great for sustaining in lane allowing you to farm for longer.
Merciless is better because it helps with kiting and Gnar dosent use mana.
Dangerous game is good for sustain after a fight to keep farming instead of recalling.
Precision is good with Gnar because the armour and magic pen not only helps his autos but also his w.
Thunderlord's Decree is the keystone I have chosen because it helps with his kiting ability with the amount of damage it gives out. It also works AMAZING with his W (Hyper) as it takes 3 attacks for both of them to prock.
Pros / Cons
-Great kiting ability
-Massive damage while still being tanky.
-Has great escape with e
-Great CC, stuns, slows
-Rage bar hard to control
-Not good early game
-Not a lot of carry potential
-Can change from ranged to melee at bad times
-Useless in teamfights unless Mega
Greater Quintessence Of Attack Damage is good for Gnar because he is naturally tanky. Health quints are an option but I think Attack Damage is a better option for equalising your tankiness and your damage.
Marks Of Attack Damage are good for Gnar because it helps make his attacks more damaging so you can deal more damage without taking uo an item space which can be used to build tankier or more damage.
Seals Of Health are just to balance out the Marks Of Attack Damage. The health helps you sustain longer inlane and allows you to build more of a damage build while still being tanky.
Glyphs Of Health Regeneration are EXTREMELY useful. They allow you to regen more health making you able to stay inlane longer and if your low in a teamfight, able back out and heal up without backing out.
