Xin Zhao

Preferred Roles:

Top Lane, Jungle

Xin Zhao in nutshell:

Xin Zhao is sustained champion, with especially good early-game, but he doesn't drop out that bad in late-game, which makes him good pick even in ranked. He has really good potential for jungle and solo top, because of his gap closing ability Audacious Charge which also acts as a slow and a knock-up ability Three Talon Strike. He has also good sustain from Battle Cry and a nice pushback from his ultimate Crescent Sweep. As you can see, he has quite a lot of really useful CC. You can just rush in a team fight, focusing the carry and get him/her down and seperate rest of the team with pusback. That's what I call rushing!

I prefer that rune set-up for maximazing the early-game damage and defense in top lane. You do not want to loose the lane and you want to get all the last hits you can get! The flat attack damage will help the last hitting, even if you are not so good at it, but do remember; you don't want to push the lane either. The defensive glyphs and seals give you enough magic resistance and armor to take hits from minions and to go attack against your enemy. You do want to exchange damage, because you have so good damage at level 3. Your defensive runes will help a lot and you will notice the difference of damage taken for sure.

Situational ability sequences (Q-W-E)

Abilities & Sequence

Challenge

" Xin Zhao's basic attacks, including those enhanced by Three Talon Strike and Audacious Charge, will reduce the target's armor by 15% for 3 seconds."

Three Talon Strike

" Xin Zhao prepares to unleash a fearsome combo, causing his next 3 standard attacks to deal his attack damage + 15 / 30 / 45 / 60 / 75 (+1.2 per attack damage)to enemy targets, with the final attack knocking his opponent into the air."

Battle Cry

"Passive: Xin Zhao passively heals himself every third basic attack by 25 / 31 / 37 / 43 / 50 (+70% of ability power).

Active: Xin Zhao unleashes a battle cry, granting him 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80 % attack speed for 5 seconds."

Audacious Charge

" Xin Zhao charges and challenges an enemy. The charge deals 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+0.6 per ability power) magic damage to all nearby enemies and slows them for 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45% for 2 seconds."

Crescent Sweep

" Xin Zhao unleashes a sweep around him that dealing 125 / 225 / 325 (+ 1.0 per bonus attack damage) physical damage to all nearby enemies equal to a base amount plus 15% their current health and knocks them back. Xin Zhao gains 15 / 20 / 25 bonus armor and magic resistance for 6 seconds for each champion hit.

If a challenged target is hit by the sweep, it is unaffected by the knockback.

Core Items

Jungling Route & Ganks

  • Start off with Audacious Charge and start with Wolves. (Get pull if possible)
  • Head up to the blue buff and wait for a pull. Use your Smite
  • Now start heading to Wraiths, u should get Battle Cry before that.
  • After Wraiths are done, go to tiny golems, focus big one first
  • After golems, you have Three Talon Strike and go red. Use your Smite again.
  • Now it's the best time to go ganks! Happy hunting!

Team Fights

As said already, your mission is to focus the squishiest enemy, preferably AD carry like Ashe, Vayne, Varus etc.. and make him/her unable to participate in the fight at all. Start off with Audacious Charge and right after use your ultimate Crescent Sweep, which should seperate enemy team and cause confusion. Next pop-up your Three Talon Strike and Battle Cry. You should be able to take all the hits, because of your tankiness and bonuses from ultimate. Enemie's AD carry should go down really easily and gives your team quite a advantage. If you are still alive and you're not getting focused, move on to the next enemy, propably AP carry and repeat the same thing, except that you do not have your ultimate ready.

Closing

Thank you for reading trough everyone! I hope you didn't get bored & the new way of BBcoding wasn't too awkward and it was easy to understand everything, without oging trough 1000 words. This was not as in-depth as other guides maybe, but I hope it has about the same information in short. Feel free to post comment & rate and please leave some feedback!
