I take spirit of the ancient golem because Elise really excellys more than anything in the jungle. That item hels gold and gives her the much needed help so the Itsy Bitsy spider keeps kicking your rear and not on the underside of Trynda's boot. Laindrys torment and Ryalis Scepter make your abilites have a little more get up and go and Abyssal Scepter makes the magic resist cutting around you an added bonus. The magic resist is nice too. Sunfire cape is good but it falls off late game because its just not enough damage. You can build it and it still works but i think thornmail or frozen heart is a better passive nerf to enemy champs or counter to adc's. The cooldown reduction couples great wth how complicated elise's spell combos are.

Elise has some very interesting abilities. With her spider form it gets even more crazy. Typically if your jungling, you want to take the Volatile Spiderling first with smite for a quick buff. If laning its almost just as good. Sometimes i will take Neurotoxin level one for the poke. Its up to you. Her spell combo is kind of complicated for the full rotation but very effective. Use the Transform and skittering frenzy to turret tank. Her combo starts in human form. First with a Neurotoxin, then immediately going into cocoon, followed quickly with Volatile Spiderling. As this is En route transform with R into a spider. Now things get crazy. As the spiderling is en route because u just popped three spells her passive will proc. Now you have three babies. Use rappel to catch up with the now limping enemy. Ignite him then use skittering frenzy to get the drop Venomous bite. damage flowing again. Right before he exits your range, pop the Venomous bite for the kill.
