Defense Masteries: First off I take Two points in
Block
as well as one point in
Unyielding
to negate enemy auto attack harass.
Recovery

Veteran's Scars

Juggernaut
are for lane sustain.
Utility Masteries: I take three points in Fleet of Foot to keep myself moving, avoiding enemy skillshots and poke. Meditation for mana regen while in lane. I put three points into Summoner's Insight so my Flash and Ignite more readily available. One point in Alchemist so your Health Potion and Mana Potion give you more resources to work with while in lane. Culinary Master to further increase the amount of resource your Mana and Health will give you. I put points into Greed , Scavenger , Wealth and Bandit for more starting gold and auto attack harass gold.I use my last four points in Intelligence and Wanderer for the cooldown reduction and movement speed.

Spellthief's Edge works with Brand's passive Blaze so when you land one skill you max out Spellthief's Edge for 30 seconds.
Liandry's Torment also works with Brand's passive Blaze
Sorcerer's Shoes for magic pen, to get through magic resist.
Rylai's Crystal Scepter for the AOE slow effect in team fights.
Zhonya's Hourglass or Banshee's Veil for a defense item.

Sear (Q) Brand launches a ball of fire forward that deals magic damage. if the target is ablaze, sear will stun the target for 2 seconds.
Pillar of Flame (W) After a short delay, Brand creates a pillar of flame at a target area, dealing magic damage to enemy units within the area. Units that are ablaze take an additional 25% damage.
Conflagration (E) Brand conjures a powerful blast at his target, dealing magic damage to them. if the target is ablaze, Conflagration spreads to nearby enemies.
Pyroclasm (R) Brand unleashes a devastating torrent of fire, dealing magic damage each time it bounces. If a target is ablaze, pyroclasm will prioritize champions for the nest bounce.
I max Pillar of Flame for the long range lane harassment into maxing Sear for the follow up built in stun, while maxing Conflagration last.

Conflagration + Sear = Stun
Conflagration + Pillar of Flame = Big Damage
Conflagration + Sear + Pillar of Flame = Stun and Damage
