Introduction/about me

Hello, I'm Sjaarboenk and I'm currently a Diamond 3 support (S4).

I'm making a guide for Thresh because he's my favorite and most played support!
I think he is the strongest support in game right now since he is so versatile and always a good pick.

Here's a link to my lolking in case you want to check it out.

Thank you for reading my guide and hopefully you can learn something from it!

Laning

Try to get level 2 first and go all in with Q then E the enemy towards you, if they're not level 2 yet you can usually engage on the support as well.

Try to collect as much souls as you can, but be careful not to take too much harass or overextending to do so. You can throw your lantern near souls to collect them safely if you can't go in range. I'd only do it for 2-4 souls because it can get mana expensive if you do it all the time.

If your jungler comes for a gank, you have multiple ways to engage.
1. Q an enemy, W your lantern behind you for your jungler if he can reach it, second Q cast when he takes it, then E.
2. Run up to your enemy, E him to you, W your jungler, Q, Q.
After level 6 it's pretty much the same. If they have flash up and you can engage with E, try to do that. You'll still have Q for after they flash then. Or follow their flash and E, R if you engaged with Q.

If you want to go for kills in lane when you're ahead, it's pretty much the same except that you W your ad carry to keep up in range if the enemy tries to run. If it's a closer fight, shield yourself and the ad carry with w.

Teamfights

Most of the time you should be peeling for your ad carry, unless you can catch someone that's out of position. Thresh has many different ways to save his ad carry. Save him with E, then use your Q as a stun on whoever is threatening him. If there are multiple people going for the adc, use your box. HOWEVER if you're even or ahead and your team is close to you and you land a hook, you can go in *if* you can catch multiple people in your box.
