INTRODUCTION

Guide for Warwick - The Blood Hunter
Inspired by Guardsman Bob
Please comment and try the build and strategies before voting. Thank you.

IMPORTANT NOTES, PLEASE READ BEFORE ENTERING GUIDE.

Hi there, VAIR ee taws here again with yet another guide. This time we are staring at Warwick.
First of all I would like to apologize for my bad English, i'm Dutch so..
This build is different then most Warwick builds cause most of them are jungle guides. You will now be at a sololane or duolane. I prefer a sololane cause it gives you more advantage to get faster exp and you can farm easier. Warwick is great at level 6 for ganks.
In this guide we will be looking at a warwick that can do quiet nice damage with Hungering Strike.
I got inspired by Guardsman Bob cause this Warwick has a lot of potential. It gives you great survivability which allows you to tower dive easily, survive longer in teamfights and most of all in battle.
Cause of Warwick's Hungering Strike you can escape and chase very well. Even when you nearly dead you can get yourself fixed with Hungering Strike in no time.
Anyways I've asked some friends to test this build and all what they had to say was positive, which motivated me to create a guide for it.
I hope this guide can bring you some joy and hopefully some more in-depth about a tankwick or as Guardsman Bob would like to prefer: BATTLEWICK!

SUMMONER SPELLS

Ghost
- My personal favorite summoner spell, Ghost. It allows you to chase down enemies fast or escape nasty situations like ganks and death. Ghost works exremely well next to Blood Scent. Thats why Ghost is your main spell.

Ignite
- Ignite is a beloved spell that allows you to gain kills faster. When a nearly dead opponent tryes to escape you can either use Ghost and or Blood Scent to trow Ignite on the target, this allows you to get a easy FB or kill. It also helps alot versus healers like Soraka, Nidalee and Dr. Mundo. When you want to target one of them and make them prevent from healing Ignite for 50% less healing. So champions like Swain, Taric and any other healer will be killed easier.

flash
- Flash is more of a optional spell, it allows you to initiate faster cause you can use Flash and then Infinite Duress to jump on a target. Also Flash allows you to escape and flash over walls. It's great to escape with and it's great to increase the range of your ultimate. Sometimes I use it to jump to an enemy for a last hit with Hungering Strike cause I couldn't reach him.

ITEM CORE

Core Item Build Sequence

Doran's Ring
A always start with Doran's Ring cause it gives you 100 HP, 5% MP regen and 15 AP. Which allows you to lane alot longer. Cause Hungering Strike is AP scaled you can heal faster and you deal more damage. Which allows you to last hit creeps better and harrass better. It also gives you a slight MP regen. so you won't get too fast in mana trouble since Warwick's mana pool is pretty low early game, mid game.

Sorcerer's Shoes
Now why the hell should you buy Sorcerer's Shoes? It gives you a big amount of MPen. Your Hungering Strike will do much more damage. Since Hungering Strike is your main damage skill you have to give it a little boost, opponent's will have more magic resist during the game so these boots will help you significantly.

Sunfire Aegis
Most of the time, almost every game I start building Sunfire Aegis cause it gives you a great amount of armor and HP. Also it gives you a nice passive which allows you to deal magic damage to surrounding enemies. While you use Infinite Duress on a enemy, sunfire cape will do a bit damage too. Anyways the passive is a nice bonus you get from this item, the main reason is that you gain more HP and armor.

Frozen Heart
The reason why this item is among the CORE is cause of it's passive and stats. It gives you a very big amount of armor which is so fantastic versus alot of physical opponents. It gives you a very nice amount of cooldown reduction which allows you to land your ulimate much more often and your main skill Hungering Strike will be much more of use, you can literly spam it, heal yourself and do great damage on enemies. The passive reduces surrounding enemies attack speed by 20%! Great team item.

Banshee's Veil
Since the last items gave you a pretty big boost on armor you would like to have some MR now. Banshee's Veil gives you a passive negative spell block every 30sec. Which allows you to dodge damage from Karthus ultimate for example. When the spell block is active you won't be able to get stunned, snared or taunted. Any skill using by the enemy will be blocked, only one. Then it's on cooldown for 30sec. It gives you nice amount of HP, Mana and MR. This item is great versus casters.

Optional items

Thornmail
This item is just awesome when enemy has alot or a fed physical DPS'er. This item returns 30% of the damage taken by them. So whenever they try to hurt you, they'll hurt themselves! In the mean while you slowly heal yourself with Hungering Strike or you can try to get away when they are having too much attack speed. I would recommend this item only when the enemy has a fed physical carry.

Warmog's Armor
Not really big fan of this item, it gives you a major HP boost and HP regen. but that's about it. It stacks permantly HP and HP regen after minion kills. This item is great when you find yourself too damn squichy in teamfights, when the enemies are fed too much you could consider building this item.

Force of Nature
I just love this item when it comes to fed casters. When a champion like Veigar or Vladimir is fed on the opposing team you could use Force of Nature alot. Cause this item is build with magic resist and a big HP regen. It allows you to take much more hits from casters then before. It also regenerates your HP pretty fast when you're not in combat. This item is a seriously must have when the enemy has alot of magic damage.

Guardian Angel
Most of the time my finishing item, it basicly grants you two life's instead of one. It gives you a nice amount of armor and some magic resist. It looks like you have drunken some Red Bull! It gave you wings! Seriously this item is just great in late games, you won't be focused so much cause the enemies see's that you have Guardian Angel. And when you die you get another chance to either get away or do some more killing.

Quicksilver Sash
I item I rarely see in games, but not to be overlooked! It has a in-build Cleanse which is a active allows you to remove stuns, snares and taunts. It even removes Exhaust. Along that it gives you some nice MR, which is great vs casters like an AP Sion that also has stun. I would recommend this item if the enemy has a big load of CC, stuns, snares and taunts.

Aegis of the Legion
A great team item, when you're facing alot of teamfights you could help your team and yourself by getting aegis of legion it boost up surrouding allies with armor and magic resist. Maybe just enough to let people surive in teamfights. Along that it gives yourself a great amount of magic resist, HP and armor. It's a overall cheap item and considerable. In some cases I've build this one before getting Frozen Heart or Banshee's Veil.

Abyssal Mask
You could go for abyssal scepter when the game goes in a very postive way, when you're team is literly stomping the enemy you could consider getting some more damage for Hungering Strike which allows you to deal more damage. It also givse you a sweet amount of MR. And the passive is great for your team, all surrounding enemies get -20 magic resist, it reduces surrouding enemies magic resist. Which is great for yourself and your friendly casters.

SKILL SEQUENCE

Skill sequence
IMPORTANT NOTES

Eternal Thirst

Each of Warwick's attacks will heal him for 5/10/15 health. Each successive attack against the same target will restore increasing amounts of health to Warwick.

- A very useful passive while laning. Thanks to this passive you won't get in life troube unless you don't get harassed like hell. When the game is going on, it is not so important any more but your enemies will rage if you got out of a deadly situation with only 30 hp, thanks to Eternal Thirst. Warwick restores health for every attack that he lands. This amount increases when he successive attacks the same target again.

Scales with:

- Attack speed
- Life steal

Hungering Strike

Takes a bite out of enemy unit for damage and heals Warwick.
Strikes an enemy for the greater value between 75/125/175/225/275 (+1) and 8/11/14/17/20% of the target's maximum health (can only do flat damage to monsters), and heals Warwick for 100% of the damage dealt.

Cost
60/70/80/90/100 Mana
Range
400

- Warwick's main skill to deal damage to a target. It dealts magic damage and heals Warwick for that amount. This amount increases on skilling up this skill and AP. This skill scales good with AP item's like Doran's Ring. The skill has a decent range to land, which allows you to harrass the enemies quiet well from a safe distant.

Scales with:

- Ability power

Hunters Call

Warwick lets out a howl, increasing all nearby friendly champions attack speed for a short time.
Warwick lets out a howl that inspires all nearby allied champions. This increases Warwick's attack speed by 40/50/60/70/80% and all nearby friendly champions attack speed by half of that for 10 seconds.

Cost
35/35/35/35/35 Mana
Range
20

- Gives you a big boost of attack speed for 10 seconds. And all nearby allies get half amount of attack speed you getting from this skill, that makes this skill so great in teamfights. When activated it boosts your own and the surrouding allies with AS. This allows you to do more damage overtime with AA.

Scales with:

- Attack speed
- ArPen

Blood Scent

Warwick passively senses weakened enemy champions around him. The scent of blood sends him into a fury causing him to move at incredible speeds.
Toggle: Warwick senses enemy champions under 50% life within 1500/2300/3100/3900/4700 distance of him; while he detects a low-health enemy, he gains 20/25/30/35/40% Movement Speed.

Cost
No Cost
Range
20

- This skill works so great when you want to chase a low life opponent running away, this skill boosts your movement speed so amazing high you can gain on them and kill them. Allows you to initiate alot faster. The only negative thing about this skill is when you want to go unnoticed you must not forget to turn the skill of. You can turn this skill ON/OFF by clicking on the skill "E". So people won't run to towers when they see Blood Scent trigged above there heads. You don't want to lose the element of suprise by that. Especially when you want to gank.

Scales with:

- Movement speed

Infinite Duress

Warwick lunges at an enemy Champion, suppressing his target and dealing damage for a few seconds.
Warwick lunges at an enemy Champion, suppressing his target for 1.7 seconds. While they are suppressed, Warwick quickly strikes the target 5 times for 33% of his attack damage plus 40/60/80. Warwick gains an additional 30% lifesteal while performing Infinite Duress.

Cost
100/125/150 Mana
Range
700

- Jumping on a target, disabling the target for 1.7 seconds. This skill is great to lock down a target for a gank, while you supressed the target your allies are allowed to dealt damage aswell. The ultimate doesn't even need real damage from yourself when the target has a high amount of attack damage. Since you deal 33% of target's attack damage into damage + a standart 40/60/80 you can do a pretty high amount of damage to the target.

Scales with:

- Armor penetration
- Lifesteal
- Target's amount of AD
