I believe Jax is one of the best top laners right now. He can wreck adcs and is not really countered. I believe Jax is what he is because kinda early to mid-late game Jax will and i mean will crush anyone w/ his burst. As long as you keep up w/ cs and don't lose to much towers, baron, dragon. You can go 0/5/0 w/ Jax and late game you will wreck anyone up. So here's my guide more explanation the more you proceed into my guide.
I know ignite is good but I prefer TP now because season 4 is going into the late game stage to give champs potential such as Mundo, Nasus, Singed, Olaf etc. so tp is a good choice to return to lane after a kill or just needed to recall. Nasus, Mundo, Olaf should take tp so that they can get back in lane and farm to get enough cash to get items. In other words you should return to your lane after getting a kill, enough minions, defend yours or other allies turrets, or even if you died, to get you an item to stay in lane against a certain opponent. It will keep you more vulnerable early-late game. So TP I will go w/ most often.
It depends on your match up. Going shield is really good like going up against Garen but cloth armor or boots and 5 pots can keep you in lane longer picking up minions near you. Dorans I don't really go because dorans.....I don't really know why...o well. I usually build Blade of Ruin King cause I'm used to activating items on people. Then Tri-force. Tri-force and Blade are really needed doesn't matter which to build first...just buy them. Tri-force for burst and blade for duel potential. Once you reach Bloodthirst or Hydra...ROFL, LMFAO, LOL, they be running to 'get to the chopa!' I build Bloodthirster because it's a good item on him and I realize I don't really buy it on him because he has a LAMPOST for crying out loud...imagine him w/ a real weapoon. Yea but really I should buy bloodthirster a bit more and it would really help a lot. Now...dealing w/ armor...you can buy clever or whisperer. I Clever is best for me because of the hp...not much hp which makes me squishy-ish in my opinion. Boots depend on who your vsing top ap: Merc treads ad: Ninja Tabi if fed or just know you can win: Greaves. Executioner? Yea for maybe a Mundo, Renekton, Nasus, or an Olaf. I don't recommend hextech much because active on it is not really good. better to do physical damage then magic damage. But not bad. I think scimitar is to remove debuffs, or reduce cc. I don't don't remember buying Sword of The Occult but it seems like a good item. I may try it in some of my games later on. It's not much of a bad item because if you start getting kills, you will start to be getting wins.
I believe Jax should deal a little amount of AP, like little AP to hurt the opponent. The weaving spell and blade is to op. You can deal AP and AD at the same time while the next strikes it does do more damage. Warlord is missing a point because from the looks of it you have enough AD for now and should do a bit of AP.
Armor pen because AD wins overall and since Jax will deal a bit of AP from the masteries and Tri-force.
There is no real counter...just edges. Jax vs Malphite, Singed, Renekton, Garen, Pantheon, Elise, Yorick, Nasus, olaf, and maybe Jayce should soon tilt to Jax's side. From the items, masteries, abilities, and runes should let you win the game. Jax w/ tri-force, boots, Blade of Ruin King should make duel and kill the 'counter' later on in the game. Just make sure to kill the carries first. Jax's burst is not to be underestimated because things can happen in an instant. Call for team if you need help because teamwork OP. I used to get pissed off at ranked top laners for calling their jger every second to gank, I just want to prove the strength of what I can do....I just hate that. I realized that watching them lose is more of a thrill than calling them noobs for calling ganks every second. So the faster you get the game done the better you feel to smear it in their face. First guide! I know I suck but try and see if it works cause I've been using MobaFire for a long time for guides and i just want to make one of my own for one of my favorite champs since the beginning of season 3
