Starting of build~
UNDER CONSTRUCTION!
~This build is under construction! I want to relese it before it's finished beacuse I want comments abut the build and (maybe) some tips, i'll improve the build as I can and it'll soon be finished :) ~
Before we get starting with this build, I want some things to be said and explained!
- I do have collected info from different builds!
- This build is just for jungle-maokai!
- I will explain everything you need to know!
- If you disslike this pls send me comment abut improvement and just dont disslike!
- I have played
Maokai and all the items and so on have been tested in-game!

Pros: Hes an awesome tree with high CC and awesome saplings, good pretty fast jungler that helps your team and have an awesome jungle, if used wisely hes also good ganker and always good in teamfights!
Cons: He haves an very low movement speed and are very dependant of his team, and his cute lil' frggin' saplings explode, player right this champion is still what you want to learn and play ranked!!!
I use the runes above but there's alot of choises of
Maokai!
The choise i recommend though is:
This will give you a mix of different powers that will help you with basicly almost everything!
-Quintessence-
For Quintessences I use the movement speed, I use these beacuse they will help you out in the jungle with faster clearing time and will help you gank, you really need these runes beacuse of
Maokai's VERY LOW movement speed, I strongly recommend these runes if you play maokai, another scuitable option is flat AP, but I still say these is the quintessence of my chiose!
-Glyphs-
For Glyphs I have a pretty different choise, I have the half of them Scaling M.Resist and the other half Flat M.Resist, I know most of you would choose the Scaling M.Resist for deffense late-game, but there's alot of ap-damagers early game and the glyphs really makes difference!
-Marks-
For marks I mostly uses the m.penentration for helping your ultis damage and increase the effect of your jungling (monsters have m.resist to), I also saw another option with attack-speed for easier jungling, but i'll untill I've tested that out and stick with the basic now!
-Seal-
For Glyphs I use the armor, you will be helped ALOT with this while in the jungle and I can't actually recommend anything else than that awesome option!

Tier 1:
Durability

Tough Skin
Gives you some hp, plus the
Tough Skin
will help you take out the jungle mosters easier without losing to much hp!
Tier 2:
Hardiness

Bladed Armor
Hardiness will help you on lane gainst minion and champions and in the jungle help you take down the jungle monsters, the
Bladed Armor
is probably a really interesting mastery that will retarn 6 true damage when a jungle creep attacks you, awesome!
Tier 3:
Veteran's Scars

Relentless
, the first one will basicly give a ammount of more hp and the other one will make you less vulnerable against slowing abilities, with Boots of Swiftness you will not be slowed at all it feels![/b]
Tier 4:
Tenacious
+
Juggernaut
, this two masteries actually gaves the mastery section a chance to be nerfed, the first one will reduce the time of CC (15% OP!) and that's awesome! Juggernaut will give you more hp! Just really nice :)
Tier 5:
Good Hands
will reduce the time you spend dead so it's absolutely worth a point in my opinion!
Tier 6:
Honor Guard
is just an awesome mastery point that will make you MUCH more tanky!

Wanderer
+
Meditation
Wanderer is a Must-have for maokai in the utility tree! You'll get movement speed when you have over a percent of HP and that will halp you get to your jungle and gank and stuff!
Meditation
will help you with Maokai's mana problems!
Tier 2:
Expanded Mind
Will also give you a boost and help you with mana! (2/3)
Tier 3:
Biscuiteer
Just op starting with a cookie :) You might lose some hp after blue so using your biscuit so you'll regen. you hp to max again!
I recommend using the 0-21-9 version of the mastery trees, but there's a 9-21-0 version to, you basicly level from sorcery>ability-power>magic-penentration! If you're going the ability power runes, then you might want to have the magic penentration you get from the 9-21-0 mastery page, there's also a full-ap-jungler when you'll have 21-1-8, but this is a build for the tank-jungle verion for Maokai, so i'll stay to the tanky 0-21-9 version! |

-Maxing Sequence-
This is how you should prioritize your maxing after the part you'll have to pick your "starting" abilities for being able to jungle and gank in the start!

This is Maokai's passive effect, what this does is that when there have ben casted 5 abilities around him (included his own), his next basic will give him an ammount of hp based on his maximum health, beacuse you cant level this ability, we'll leave this and go on to the next ability! |

This ability is Maokai's main jungling ability that he uses when ganking and when jungling, Maokai will punch in the ground and will slow and deal damage to enemies in a shockwave in front of him, araund him all non-friendly units will be sent back and lost a little ammount of health, pick this ability as your second and max it fast as able before Maokai's ultimate! |

This ability will make Maokai leap to an enemy, dealing magic damage depending on ap and will "root" or "snare" them to the ground! This ability is used for 2 things, ganking (ofc), and move faster to camps in forest, you'll also use this ability to basicly engage a fight or when chasing an enemy, can also be used to flee effectively together with Flash that will in most cases save you! |

This ability is an "living, suicide, cute, bomb, awesome thingy thingy", when you activate Maokai will throw one of his saplings to an target location, when they see an enemy they will run towards them, explode when they get close enough dealing magic damage, scaling with AP, they hit the ground they will also deal a small ammount of damage, put a point in this early to clear the wrathes camp and then max it last! This ability is also used to grant vision if you think someone will invade, counter-jungle or anything that will involve that your enemy will try to sneak up on you and steal something :) (or hurt you) |

This ability is a little different ultimate than other champions have, when placed, Maokai will "summon" a big maelstrom (:3), friendly champions will take reduced damage when inside of it, then when you activate it again it will deal damage based on the ammount of damage opponents dealed damage, this ability is AWEOSOME in teamfight and SHALL be maxed whenever you can!!! This ability will drain your mana very hard so try to get alot of mana or just keep it upp the smallest time at able so you wont get drained of your mana! |

-Combinations-
Low LV Ganking:
Explenation:When you gank you need to basicly, get to the enemy, deal damage, and try to prevent them from getting away or just fight him whit your op fighting skills, or by getting help by a partner! First you throw the sapling right at them, when the sapling is in the air, you just leap to the target, with your
Twisted Advance, and snares it! Then you'll have to walk in front of them, while they are snared, and use your
arcane smash to smash them backwards against your turret or a friend, or just preventing them to get to their own turret!
Higher LV Ganking:
Explenation:This ganking combo is another version of the one above, but this time when you have your ulti (+mana) you'll use that one when you just snared them, then you'll get more damage on them before they might be able to get away! It's just to activate the ulti when you snared them, then when they are on their way out of the ultimate, use it again to deal damage!
Quick Damaging Combo:
Explenation:Use this combo just to attack with a short burst to take some damage to your opponent and then maybe run away! This combo is also used mostly when engaging a teamfight, but then always have your ulti upp a long time, and always stand in the ultimate so it will get bonus damage and you'll ge less hurted!
-Starting Items-
hunters machete:
This is the mainly start for jungle! If you want to "experiment" a little bit you can run with cloth armor!
Health Potion:
Buy many as able in the start, you'll be able to put them to good use!
Mobility Boots:
This is your main first-back purchases! If you want you can eventually buy the other boots first, for example ninja tabi's or
Boots of Swiftness, but I mainly go for the
Mobility Boots for ALOT of ganking and chasing!
Spirit Stone:
Should be priorditised before the lv-2 boots beacuse you'll need the regen. stats! If you really want to help your team (or if you have a bad support) you can buy some wards here also!
Spirit of the Ancient Golem:
This is the reason why you shouldnt buy
Mercury's Treads anymore, you'll get the 35% tenacy from that item now, so buy another kind of boots!
Aegis of the Legion:
This aura/amor/health will make this item really strong the whole game out! You can (should) uppgrade it into
Runic Bulwark later on if you have the money for it!
Spirit Visage:
If you dont need alot of damage this is the perfect item for
Maokai, it will work very good with his passive and the stats will also fit well with
Maokai! Very good buy even if you choose to be a damager!
Frozen Heart:
This item is litterally aawesome for most situations! If you play against low-ranged opponents you'll be able to keep them on a distance, you can counter ad-champions, you can detect clones (for example
Shaco's ultimate clone, it will also give you Cd and Mana, exactly wat you need for
Maokai, this is also an item that can be combined with offensive items!
