Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
November the 15th, 2011, 6:11 A.M. - Fixed a mathematical error in the Masteries section.
November the 15th, 2011, 6:21 A.M. - Fixed an error with the ever finnicky BigBeautifulCode in the Ranked Play aspect.
November the 15th, 2011, 6:24 A.M. - Added some more Mana Potions.
November the 16th, 2011, 5:53 P.M. - The 1k viewer mark has been overtaken and I must say that I am intoxicated with joy. God and I thank you all for your staunch support.
November the 16th, 2011, 5:57 P.M. - Updated the guide to conform with the new Mastery reforms.
November the 20th, 2011, 9:57 P.M. - Replaced Rally with Surge. It's kind of ****ty now because it's not in banner form to increase your team's morale. I request the readers to simply replicate the instances of "Rally" with "Surge" aspects.
December the 24th, 2011, 4:45 P.M. - An early convivial day of Christ's Birth to all my voyeurs! With respect to the newly birthed runes I have added Avarice seals to my repertoire and have edited the text accordingly.
some people ask me when im so good at morgana. this is my epistle to the solomid public, revelling the secrets of mastery
"i use this build on sion too!" dyrus
"i use this build on irelia too!" St. Vicious
"This build is the immaculacy of the human race, the realization of perfection manifested in a video game." Chaox
*may be paraphrased
so some people may be wandering why i have so many runes?
IT IS SO MORE COSTEFFICIENT TO PURCHASE TIER 1 AND 2 RUNES THAN TIER 3 BECAUSE U CAN USE THEY ARE CHEAPER. ALSO GET HEALTH REGEN PER LEVEL QUINTS
i prefer around ~24.5% as the threshold is typically 40% but any cdr above 24.5% is wasted, check the math Your text to link here...
naturally i want some attack damage for early game damage so i take some in that. i have tier 2 because at higher elos it doesnt matter because this build will carry u
Greater Seals of Avarice are taken to increase gold income to fund Mana Potion consumption. With this rune set-up you will be pooling apporximately 1 bonus gold per second, almost like playing Easy Mode in DotA without Spiritbreaker getting a 170% stun on you.
Some background information regarding Avarice:
"Greed (Latin, avaritia), also known as avarice or covetousness, is, like lust and gluttony, a sin of excess. However, greed (as seen by the church) is applied to a very excessive or rapacious desire and pursuit of wealth, status, and power. St. Thomas Aquinas wrote that greed was "a sin against God, just as all mortal sins, in as much as man condemns things eternal for the sake of temporal things." In Dante's Purgatory, the penitents were bound and laid face down on the ground for having concentrated too much on earthly thoughts. "Avarice" is more of a blanket term that can describe many other examples of greedy behavior. These include disloyalty, deliberate betrayal, or treason, especially for personal gain, for example through bribery. Scavenging and hoarding of materials or objects, theft and robbery, especially by means of violence, trickery, or manipulation of authority are all actions that may be inspired by greed. Such misdeeds can include simony, where one profits from soliciting goods within the actual confines of a church.
As defined outside of Christian writings, greed is an inordinate desire to acquire or possess more than one needs, especially with respect to material wealth."
a well-rounded 10-10-10 insures an early game advantage. i prefer to get t1 masteries because their like marines in SC2 where they can kill higher tier units once you have enough
now i must dispel some delusions of grandeur held for a certain mastery
15% SOUNDS good but that's what the communist lol staff WANT you to think. let's do some math
golem has 0 magic resist, he will be subject A
shen has 100 magic resist, he will be subject B
lets us imagine that the Dark Bin ding does about 500 damage when fully built out and leveled. WITHOUT archaic knowledge it will do a full 500 damage to A. WITH archaic knowledge it will only do 425 damage to B. obviously this correlation shows that archaic knowledge REDUCES the magic damage you wreak upon your enemies, and thus is not worth the mastery point.
EDIT: okay so new masteries same basic concepts um don't take arcane knowledge, i prefer to get all of the summoner masteries to allow maximum flexibility
look at my skill sequence
my skill sequence borrows elements from the ancient mayan art style (see: read up go to school
I beg all of my faithful readers to bequeath me forgiveness. Beleaguered and downtrodden by the perpetual idiocy of public players, I got drunk at approximately 1:27 p.m., around the time when I started writing this guide. Thus, the punctuation and grammar in the antecedent parts of this work may be sub-par. I also went 3-8 Anivia in my game, but I told them that I was under the influence of alcohol so they understood. Now that I have recovered from my splurge, I am ready to deliver the grammar and punctuation and diction that you adore. Back to the Skill Sequence.
I get ult last because it has a high cool down and thusly does not harmonize with my playstyle.
The correct summoner spells for Morgana are quite enigmatic. Careful consideration must be taken in choosing the summoner spells. My summoner spells are optimized towards Sheen proccing.
The Bread and Butter
Rally allows Morgana to be a bastion of Protection for ~however long rally lasts. It's very subsidiary for baiting, a la heal, except Rally is better because it has more utility in pushing turrets.
Cleanse is to get you out of sticky situations like when you beat a hooker with a baseball bat in GTA and then the police are coming to you so you drive off a bridge into a river and then swim to shore and then kill more hookers. Like ice.
Other acceptable summoner spells include:
Truly a seminal item. Provides excellent utility in battle. Cast typically on the support, as it reduces their already abysmal damage, meaning that they output less damage.
dictionary.com defines Fortify as: "to strengthen mentally or morally: to be fortified by religious faith." Bearing this in mind, utilize Fortify with intense discretion. Situations such as the images below are ideal locuses for the use of Fortify. Also, whenever team morale is low, just use Fortify to make them feel safe.
Lower level Morganas should take this spell. Strive to partner up with Akali or Shyvana, as they greatly synergize with the Sheen passive and Clarity will allow them to spam spells with impunity.
DO NOT TAKE
I cannot stress enough how horrible this spell is on Morgana. YOU ARE MEANT TO SHEEN PROC, NOT TO ULTI PROC. This build is OPTIMIZED towards proccing Sheen, NOT towards escaping like an uncouth wench who has been caught in the act of seducing her husband and master's son, hands bloody with the horrendous act.
I don't play Ranked ever since the Eve nerf, though I instilled knowledge into the minds of Dyrus
, Saint Vicuous, and Chaox the art of Morgana
. Some may scoff at such a notion, but I have proof: (Note Ward
Placement, allowing me to view the entire mid lane, and Cleanse Usage :That shall silence thy tongues.
Just purchase a Ward to supplement your Mana Crystal since I heard those are pretty good in ranked.
Pros / Cons
None, this build is immaculate.
Will win games.
You will be loved by women around the world. They will throw themselves at your feet and offer their bodies to your desires. Even arousing vixens such as this (not the wee girl you perverted wankers!)
Creeping / Jungling
Smite is not necessary as Rally allows for easy jungling potential.
Morgana is quite the boisterous jungler.
Purchase the following items:
This allows Morgana to have an almost indefinite sustain in jungle.
Take Black Shield
First start at the purple red, no matter which side you are on.
Now, follow these steps exactly:
Stand here.Shield and move into this brush.Cleanse to dispel red buff.Success
Now, move to the Purple Blue Buff, taking care to avoid any obstacles (i.e. turret)
Cast all of your spells and assimilate its powers. Now go back to base, if you've been jungling with the timings I have you should have plenty of gold. Sell Mana Manip and Purchase two Sapphire Gems and 2 Sight Wards. Now, proceed to the Blue side's red Buff (getting confused yet! :P:P:P:P)
Place the wards like so to prevent the Small Lizards' escape:Again, cast all spells and laugh as the little lizards die before you. I lost Red/Blue Buff at this time as I did not take the Masteries, but it is merely a trifle. The rest is self-explanatory. Gank at around Level 18. Ganking at level 18 is actually the paramount ganking level, as the enemy will have pushed at least one tower by then, so they will be more overextended and thus easier to gank.
[Note: OKAY SO THE TIMES AND DEATHS ARE A LITTLE WONKY, BUT THERE WAS A ZILEAN IN MY GAME SO HE MESSED WITH THE GAME TIME. ALSO I HAVE A MOD WHERE DEATHS AND KILLS SWITCH PLACES.]
To be honest, you don't need teamwork.
Now before you blow your furious load at me, acquiesce me to explicate. This build is optimized for pro games, in which everyone is so good that they can singlehandedly manhandle the enemy team. The proof is in the pudding here. A competent individual should quite easily perceive that if two team members engage with the entire enemy team, there exists a maximum of two people that can die on their team. Howbeit if only one team memeber (you) faces the entire enemy team, only a maximum of one person can perish on your team. Thus it is less risqué to face the entire enemy team alone than partnered with a likely more incompetent ally. Seminal.
Now, the moment you all have been waiting for, how does Quater utilize the Sheens in his playstyle? Allow me to bequeath you the details.
The Sheen is the linchpin, the dramatic foil, of this build. 4 are utilized in this build. One might dare to inquire, "are the 4 Sheens really necessary?" or perhaps the more promiscuous ones may pose the question: "are 4 Sheens enough?"
Let us crunch some numbers for a brief moment.
One Sheen provides only a minimal amount of Mana and Ability Power.
Two Sheens provide only a minimal amount of Mana and Ability Power.
Three Sheens provide only a minimal amount of Mana and Ability Power.
Four Sheens provides the optimal Mana and Ability Power for Morgana.
Five Sheens is a waste of Sheen's passive. Also, it does not allow room for other, more critical items.
The Archetypal Hero of this build is the Avarice Blade.
Let us crunch some numbers for yet another brief moment.
An Avarice Blade allows for Morgana to crit easier, efficiently increasing your DPS by a respectable margin. The true power of this item is it's gold per 5 efficiency. Some may scoff at the notion of purchasing an item for its increase in income during the late game, however, the late game is when I most require the increased income.
The Temptress of this build is the Mana Potions.
Let's face it, Morgana has mana-ctile dysfunction, so to combat this, we get an ***-load of Mana Potions. One would be quite drunk if they had this Mana Potions (ho-ho!) Simply buy 9 Mana Potions at base and queue all 9 of them up, 180 seconds of unadulterated carnage unhindered by fickle Mana costs!
Why it works:
The Sheen's increase Morgana's DPS by exactly a lot. The Avarice Blade and Mana Potions synergize wonderfully. The Avarice Blade's extra 5 Gold per 10 seconds allows an extra Mana Potion every 80 seconds, that means every 180 period of Mana carnage equates to 2.25 Mana Potions, and when you factor in the gold you will receive from your murderous rampage (Read: A LOT) this equates to approximately 14.78 Mana Potions, well enough to sustain your midnight escapades. If only the economy ran this efficiently! (I mentioned the bad economy LOL!)
This is art at its purest form, worthy of Monet and Piccasso. In fact, it's a bit like if the two spawned a child beneath a hot moon in the Nebraskan cornfields. Here's your typical spell sequence, step by step:
Enter fight against the hapless enemy!
Cleanse because you don't want to spread germs!
Bend your legs and assume defecating position!
Plop a hot, rancid Rally onto the ground!
Throw a Dark Binding in the opposite direction of the enemy to fake them out! (I once hit a melee minion with this it was cool)
Attack them ONCE.
Move left to right erratically for about 2 seconds.
Cast your Black Shield on yourself, after they use all your spells on you so they can't hit you again!
Attack them TWICE.
Cast Tormented Soil on YOUR minions to give them a relaxing sauna in which to ease their joints after a toilsome day of fighting!
Attack them THRICE.
If they aren't dead after this combo, POP YOUR ULTIMATE Judgement for the coup de grace!
If you do not kill the opponent, YOU HAVE FAILED MISERABLY. You are not up to the test to be successful with this build and should try more n00b builds like "Ashe: Carry Ranked Games" or "Singed: My Chemical Romance," cretin.
If you lose the game, try the following excuses:
-HoN is a better game than LoL and LoL is for n00bs only.
Here's one of the many successful games I have had with this!
Quater's in-depth guide to farming.
Black Shield randomly in lane.
Place Rally to push turrets.
Cleanse randomly in lane.
DO NOT WASTE TORMENTED SOIL.
Ulti as soon as the icon says you can.
Dark Binding does a lot of damage to a target, allowing it to easily be utilized for farming.
I believe the way to best sum up this build is to quote the Bard James Williams:
"It would be simply preposterous if the only force that could work ideals of honors and standards of efficiency into English or American natures should be the fear of being killed by the Germans or the Japanese. Great indeed is Fear; but it is not, as our military enthusiasts believe and try to make us believe, the only stimulus known for awakening the higher ranges of men's spiritual energy. The amount of alteration in public opinion which my utopia postulates is vastly less than the difference between the mentality of those black warriors who pursued Stanley's party on the Congo with their cannibal war-cry of 'Meat! Meat!' and that of the 'general-staff' of any civilized nation. History has seen the latter interval bridged over; the former one can be bridged over much more easily."
