Introduction

Nunu loves to accompany his best friend through the Jungle of Summoner's Rift while Willump munches away on monsters and minions! As you increasingly increase your clear speed you'll come out of the jungle well fed and ready to help your team in a number of ways.

Nunu's flexible roles

Nunu can go from being a speed clearing jungler to...

A Hybrid Damage Dealer:

An anti-tank

An anti-assassin

A tank with great sustainability

An annoying, uncatchable split-pusher

A counter-jungler

Core Items

The core items set up the beginning of Nunu building out hybrid damage.

Nunu can clear out large monsters in the jungle quickly which will add stacks to Ranger's Trailblazer - Devourer.

Wit's End will increase Nunu's clear speed through the jungle and help to strip opposing champion's of some Magic Resistance.

Mercury's Tread ensures that opposing Champions have extreme difficulty grabbing ahold of the dynamic duo ( "Can't catch me!" ).

Anti-tank Items

If your team could use a good anti-tank, Nunu is capable of doing so by building out Wit's End and The Black Cleaver. This will allow Nunu to strip away opposing champion's Armor and Magic resist which will enable your team's AD and AP carries to better kill those pesky tanks. Also, these items will increase Nunu's Jungle-clearing speed (which will more quickly add stacks to Devourer).

If you're facing champion's with high levels of lifesteal/spellvamp/sustainability ( ) you can add Morellonomicon after Wit's End and Black Cleaver to really strip them of the sustain they depend on.

Defensive Items

If you find yourself simply needing additional health, Rylai's Crystal Scepter and Frozen Mallet will give you that health. In addition, Nunu becomes an anti-assassin. Champions who rely on hit-and-run style play will have difficulty doing so when Nunu uses the combination of his Ice Blast from a distance (with an even further enhanced slow from RCS), and then closes in on them with continued slow from FH.

If your team needs someone to absorb damage and act more as a true tank, adding Frozen Heart and Banshee's Veil will allow you to do just that (Frozen Armor will also give you an additional 20% CDR, which gives you a full 40% CDR).

If the opposing team lacks a lot of hard CC, adding Abyssal Scepter will give you both Magic Resit and you'll deliver a more powerful attack from Nunu's ultimate, Absolute Zero.
