Hi, first of all, i don't think AP Warwick is really "Optimal" as his only ability with AP scaling is his Q and he benefits the most with AS and tankiness overall; but i'll play along and give you some honest thoughts about it :D

First of all you do not have any Spirit items, wich are a MUST on junglers; the options in this case are Spirit of the Spectral Wraith or Spirit of the Ancient Golem depending if you are ahead or not, respectively.

There are some AP items that offer stats really helpfull to WW and have really cool combos.
Here are the combos:
Slows Everywhere¡
- Rylai's Crystal Scepter, - Liandry's Torment, - Sunfire Aegis
HUGE utility with this setup, slows on your AAs,slows on your Q and R...slows just for being near to you¡¡¡

Extra tankiness¡¡
- Rod of Ages, - Zhonya's Hourglass, - Abyssal Mask
Just a tanky setup, if you need the extra health you can buy the double RoA, if you want the SpellBlade proc you can change Zhonya's for Iceborn Gauntlet.

Full CDR Stuff
- Spirit of the Spectral Wraith/ Spirit of the Ancient Golem, - Athene's Unholy Grail, Iceborn Gauntlet
Super Awsome Sustain, CDR Cap, no mage will ever kill you, what alse do you want xD

example full build
Spirit of the Ancient Golem, - Rylai's Crystal Scepter, - Liandry's Torment, Iceborn Gauntlet, Spirit Visage, Ionian Boots of Lucidity.

And thats it for the items.

about the skills

W is imperative for the early camps, also helps a lot when ganking an allied AD laner (don't forget the area effect) and lastly makes it easier to score assists in teamfights.

Finally , about the role of AP Warwick in teamcomps.

Assassin WW is not viable becouse a number of reasons:
1-Being his R DoT and easily interrupted and not bulding any AD makes him lack any reliable damage leaving the AA+Q+AA combo his only real burst.
2-Even if Infinite Duress lasts its full duration anyone can CC you and instakill you if you don't build any kind of tankiness, doing this will reduce the damage you deal making impossible the assessination...lose/lose situation.
3-WW it's not mobile enough to aproach an ADC/APC, Q him and run away without dying or having to use DFG. Q, with your Full build, deals only 930 Magic damage not even calculating MR; it's really hard to deal half a health bar with it to anyone, ergo E MS buff does not activate.

He works better as an Utility AP offtank.

While that is true, whenever I play AP Warwick there is not a point where I don't halve someone's hp with my Q Hungering Strike, giving me escapes all game long, with this build, unless you feed terribly I don't quite understand how it'd go wrong seeing as its exactly how I'd build.

Also, upon halving someone's hp with my Q Hungering Strike, after getting CC'd by people such as yourself, I heal enough to escape their clutches, unless of course I get CC Bombed, but no one is immune to that.

I do see what you mean about people not being as good as me at AP Warwick I should have thought about Flash being put in there in the first place because of it.

You may be right, but keep in mind that not everyone is an amazing Warwick as you are xD

When you make a guide, you generally want to make it for the public. After my placements in season 3. I was placed in Bronze II, and the junglers in the enemy who took Ignite and Smite without flash generally made it easier for me to catch him off guard and win my team the game.

I'm a big fan of champions with croud control as you see :P

And generally movement speed alone won't save you from a good croud control not to mention Blood Scent only gives you the movement speed when the target is below 50% health.

Really? I didn't know that, I'll change it then, I'll go with flash, due to his high mobility movement wise with his E he doesn't really need ghost, it would be overkill.
I usually go Smite and Flash or Ghost in Jungle, it's just his high mobility never pushed me to use them, so I take Ignite.

Thanks heaps for the tips, I gave you Rep, I hope to see you elsewhere on MOBAFire :)

I find Nashor's Tooth to not be that great at all on AP WW, while it increases the damage you deal in your ultimate, the typical way to play AP WW in my opinion doesn't leave you much time to engage in regular basic attacks, as you are running in and out using your Q to poke the enemy champions. I actually did forget to put it in my Final Item / Situational though, so thank you for picking up on that.

I think it pretty much comes down to your play style of him. :)

You're right! My playstyle is rushing three items as my core:

And then what you do as a combo:

> >

I one hit every single carry from 100 to 0.

Unfortunately I can't upvote this because you included Ignite and Smite together in the cheat sheet, which is generally the first thing people usually look at. Most people don't read the guide itself so when they go with Ignite and Smite into the jungle, they would be punished heavily for the lack of mobility.

I will switch out Void Staff for Abyssal Mask then, because as I mentioned above, AP WW has no real need for attack speed or on hit's as much, due to him just popping in and out of battle.

And the Seal of Scaling Armor is there because Warwick doesn't need early game armor, his heal of his passive and Hungering Strike is more than enough to get him through jungle and a couple of Ganks, and at level 7, Scaling becomes better than Flat, which is when you need his resists to get stronger.

Not bad, but replace Void Staff with Wit's End. There also is almost no defensive items, it doesn't matter if he is playing AP or not he needs some defense. I prefer him AD much better, don't think AP is all that great. Also remove the 9 Seal of Scaling Armor and replace with just 9 Seal of Armor.

Why does nobody build Nashor's Tooth on AP WW. It is very amazing on him.
